So Euron is attempting to awaken and become a metaphorical dragon, an evil aspect of Azor Ahai and to accomplish this he is planning something terrible. From what we know so far. It involves the sacrifice of several priests of different faiths as well falia flowers who is pregnant with his unborn son who are all tied to the prows of several ships in Euron’s fleet. In part two we determined that the target for his ascension to occur will likely be the Hightower on Battle Isle. And we can assume that fire will likely be a part of this ritual as Azor Ahai is foretold to be reborn amidst smoke and salt and we have Aeron in the Forsaken chapter having a vision of the Longships of the Ironborn adrift and burning on a boiling blood red sea and the sacrifices are tied to the prows of those ships. Azor Ahai is also known as the warrior of Fire and son of fire so it would be a completely missed opportunity if Fire wasn't an integral part of this conjuring. So basically, the components of this ritual we can deduce so far are. A Sacrifice, The Hightower, and Fire. Which isn't a lot to go off at this point, but there are several things left to consider as there are a couple clues to suggest the fire at the top of the Hightower’s beacon will be the fire used for the ritual. But in order to identify these clues we must examine what our author is doing in the Dreamscape. As mentioned in Part II there have been several characters such as Melsandre, Moqoro and Aeron, who are being sent visions of Euron’s upcoming invasion of Oldtown. Much in the same way the Red wedding was broadcast out in visions to several characters before it had ever taken place. Awhile back ASOIAF subreddit Moderator Bookshelf Stud wrote a post examining this phenomena called ripples in the dreamscape, GRRM shows his hand linked in the description box below and suggested that certain heinous and significant events can send shockwaves touching those sensitive to it through dreams and visions.

Love it. To me, a sacrifice has to be something important to the user, but Euron doesn't care about siblings, children and all the other people he is sacrificing. He only cares about himself. So sacrificing himself, his leap of faith, would be the greatest sacrifice he could offer.

I love how often Euron is fancast as Mads Mikkelsen. He doesn't have the colours but he has the right vibe for sure. And if Charles Dance managed to be the best Vetinari so far while blond, that wouldn't be an issue here either.
I really like him as an actor...but despite Theon and Euron favoring each other, they don't have that dark, greasy look that the Greyjoys seem to be depicted as having, in the books. Even Asha/Yara is much lighter in show than depicted in books.

Made Mikkelsen had such an odd sort of aspect to him. A bit like Christopher Walken. Not like I'd know, but apparently they're supposed to both be really nice and kind of goofy. They both always seem to have an underlying threatening feel to them.
It's so strange that Christopher Walken got pigeonholed into villain roles. I've first seen him in The Deer Hunter where he's still young and sweet (and delivers a very intense performance). The same thing kinda happened to Terence Stamp. The man started out being a very cute and innocent Billy Budd and became a go-to villain later. @@thegreenmanofnorwich

This is a great line of symbolism you’ve picked up on.
I’ve thought of some other parallels while watching and thought they might be of interest to you:
- The Titan of Braavos has green hair and firey red eyes, giving us green at the top of this “Tower” who is a giant said to wake
- The burning of the Tower of the Hand with wildfire gives us a symbolic burning green hand at the red keep, which reminds me of the order of the green hand and their association with the burning trees with red hands, the weirwoods, who are described as giants several times
- When Luwin takes Bran down to the crypts we see Shaggydog presented as a great beast waking beneath a tower (The First Keep) in the winterfell crypts, and is described as having eyes like green fire - “He thrust his arm into the blackness inside the tomb, as into the mouth of some great beast. "Do you see? It's quite empt-" The darkness sprang at him, snarling. Bran saw eyes like green fire, a flash of teeth, fur as black as the pit around them.”
- The supposed Horn of Winter the Melisandre burns at the Wall is said to burn with green fire
- Greenseers have harnessed the fire of the gods to use the firey weriwoods for their Greensight, could the power of the Greenseers be seen as symbolic Green Fire?
- And we are presented with a symbolic giant beast waking at the battle of the blackwater that sounds like a dragon breathing Green fire - “And then some vast beast had let out a roar, and green flames were all around them: wildfire, pyromancer's piss, the jade demon.”

Eldric, wow, yes. Im wanting to do a video with a closer look at the titan, specifically the "roaring" which i think is a stand in for horn blowing. I touch on it a bit in my broken swords video with the old man of the river, but its definitely a thing. And the green angel tower of MS&T is called that because of a green bronze angel on the top of the tower which is similar to the broze harpy at the top of the pyramid. I was really enjoying one of your videos the other day that was taking a closer look at horns and the hammer of the waters. Not sure if this helps with your roaring giant research but I’ve come across this same line of symbolism as well while investigating the stone kings of winter
Because interestingly all the roaring giants we see through the series are presented as either literally or symbolically being made of stone, just like the Kings of Winter:
- The Titan of Braavos is a giant made of stone who roars and comes to life (with the roaring sound presumably made by horns within the titan?)
- The Old Man of the River is a giant with a hard exterior who roars like a warhorn
- Wun Wun is a symbolic stone giant when he is described as “a boulder coming to life” who also roars as he wakes
- Gregor Clegane is a giant made of stone who is described as roaring like some animal
- Hodor is a giant who parallels a stone king of winter while beyond the wall with his one eye frozen shut, beard of ice and rusted red sword from the crypts, and is described as roaring as he rises after Bran skin changes him to fight the wights
And additionally while not stone the Umbers sigil is described a roaring giant in shattered chains, a sigil we see present on the childrens tower at Moat Cailin where the hammer of the waters was called down and giants woke in the earth

Watching Euron, what many Targaryens had in mind, and how Dany actually hatched the eggs, I am so sure that Stannis is gonna burn Shireen for that reason exactly and I am sad. And I wouldn't find it weird if Selyse is also in the sacrifice along with Patch who is a direct parallel to Aeron if not even himself as well.

I could see that scenario happening, but not at Stannis' command. Melissandre would order it in Stannis' name while he's away at battle.

@@AKWatchX The Sacrifice must be important to Stannis though. He was already very down on sacrificing Edric, I can easily see him agreeing sadly. After all, he was the one who said:
"I never asked for this crown. Gold is cold and heavy on the head, but so long as I am the king, I have a duty . . . If I must sacrifice one child to the flames to save a million from the dark . . . Sacrifice . . . is never easy, Davos. Or it is no true sacrifice. Tell him, my lady."
Melisandre said, "Azor Ahai tempered Lightbringer with the heart's blood of his own beloved wife. If a man with a thousand cows gives one to god, that is nothing. But a man who offers the only cow he owns . . ."
Even if it is Mel's idea, he will agree and he is gonna be as guilty as her.
@@CompanyOfTheCat Sacrificing Edric would be easy for him though; we know how he was conceived lol. Stannis lises nothing burning him. That said though, I'm not saying he doesn't have it in him or that he'd be innocent, just that he wouldn't make that order.

Is also a quote from him in reply to being asked to sacrifice some unfaithful to get rid of the storm. You totes may be right though among many other things, I'm very interested to see whether Melisandre would even try to seek his permission. She's desperate and trying to force her interpretation of this prophecy. Fingers crossed Grrm doesn't leave us in suspense much longer.
@@AKWatchX He has to agree otherwise the sacrifice doesn't really count though. He didn't care for Edric, thus the sacrifice would be useless (If a man with a hundred cows gives one to god is nothing...). If they indeed want to for the sacrifice to count they need something that Stannis cares about and he has to be the one who will give it, not Mel.
Plus, George has said that Stannis will sacrifice her, which is one of the three series things that are confirmed for winds.
I'm excited to be covering this topic, and its like once I do one I have another one to piggyback from with not enough time to do. But mel will definitely need more sacrifices and the thought of what she is willing to do is terrifying.

The Colossus of Rhodes is an obvious inspiration for the Titan of Bravos and was also 1 of the 7 wonders of the ancient world (along with the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which you mention in this video). The Colossus also fell to earthquakes as well, if historical accounts are to be believed.

Company of the Cat has a nice one out recently which proposes that Aerion and Arys were dreaming of Dany, (who successfully hatched eggs) but as no one thought the PTWP could be a princess, they thought of themselves.
Yes, its an older theory. I mentioned Joe Magician and Robert from Indeepgeek also have videos on the topic, I think everyone's analysis is great, but the problem is, is that these creators might not realize that Euron is doing exactly this, he is literally making a metaphorical dragon transformation and the hightower is where it is happening and at the spot where this transformation is to occur, the beacon is going to be lit by wildfire. So in addition to all the other dreamers being sent dreams of Euron, Aerys and Aerion are simply among those many others which is why Aerion is given so many parallels to Euron's character, GRRM is inviting us to compare the two.
With that oily black stone at its base. Crows eye Mordor coming.
Remember the clues that Mellisandre and Varys are, per GRRM, very very misunderstood characters and not what they seem.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the Horn of Winter. It would make sense if the wall it brought down was actually the walls of Moat Cailin. Euron performing a ritual at the top of the High Tower would parallel the Hanmer of the Waters that was said to have taken place at the Children’s Tower

This tower sacrifice "pattern" is definitely a thing. This may or may not make a deal sense, as I've been focused of a couple other patterns.
Short version, there are roughly 5 parallel and over lapping patterns. They express in different ways. This tower pattern as you noted has a mirror in the Titan. It also reflects in the pyramid of Meereen. Few note the significance of the dragon that burnned the prince. It was Rhaegal. As each dragon's flame is also reflected in the colour of their flame, Quentyn died in a ball of "green" flame. This prince burned by green was taken to the top of the pyramid. A tall tower with a green burned sun at the top of it.
The crofter's tower isn't significantly tall. What Stannis has is traitorous Karstarks. Karstarks have a sunburst as their sigil. Hold one at the top of the tower and somehow he dies with a green symbolism and you have a green fire atop a tower. Stannis is torn between burning Theon or beheading him.
All of the potential AA figures contain the elements of a figurative or a literal green fire atop a tower.
I believe the preview to this event is contained in Cersei burning the Tower of the Hand. With all its secret passages it fits as a tower/labyrinth and green flame.
This was a bit incoherent and I apologize for that. I'm in no way attempting to take away or arguing against what you're saying. I'm saying that good or bad all of the AA narratives will be built on the bones of the same basic template fleshed out in figurative or literal ways. And all 5 can be found by this pattern. Understanding one tells you something about the other 4. Like having 5 pieces of single picture.
One way to find them is by their hanging figure. Usually a death/old figure over a younger broken one. BR over Bran, Selmy over Quentyn, Stoneheart over Brienne, Stannis over Theon, Euron over Aeron.
What is a Bloodstone? It's red and green. Turning a red flame into green, or mixing the two is a clear bloodstone symbol. Thoros is a red priest but he uses wildfire on his sword, red/green. His swords burned by wildfire also double as a mirror to the burned sword Stannis has. A false Lightbringer. The patterns are deep, but I lack a sounding board so organizing these thoughts is a challengez sorry again.
I love this so much im pinning it, I think you hit the nail on the head here, especially in merreen where Quentin also awakens a dragon sleeping inside the stone walls, really beautiful parallel.

The craziest thing will be seeing the wall fall from oldtown since you can see the wall from oldtown.
I'm wondering if maybe you can see the wall from oldtown in the fire, like the way melisandre sees visions in the fire. It could be that is how the saying started since its a rumor. Supposedly there are others that can see things in the flames like Alys Rivers during the dance.

More amazing work as always! I'm a big believer in this, I'm guessing you've heard of the youtuber Glidus, he did an amazing 2 video series on the topic of how exactly Dany gave birth to her dragons and it feels like that synchs nicely with your theory about Euron. Also, Euron's quote about leaping off 'some tall tower' is a more natural way of saying 'leap off Hightower', a little on the nose but then George can be that way with his big locations i.e Winterfell. Oldtown is definitely looking like ground zero for something awful: Euron's headed there with his sacrifices, we've got wildfire, we've got the Horn of Winter (probably), we've got kings blood via Mance's baby that's with Gilly plus the Faceless Men. Best idea Marwyn ever had was getting out of Dodge.

One way is having Euron claiming more proof than everyone that he is Azor Ahai/Last Hero reborn and prove that he is the only one who can keep the Others at bay by breaking the spells at the Wall, but he will only fight them if he is revered as a god emperor by the westerosi. Just out of my head, the problem is if this messes with other characters arcs or the way the Wall may come down. If he is a fraud, then going a route simillar but better than the show with him seducing Cersei or playing the Golden company after Aegon dies idk, just being a pebble on Daenerys shoes and what not.

The Ironborn plot can be really signifcant or just many many plot devices together, there is room for both.
Mega Epic! GRRM loves playing with the idea that "What goes up, must come down." be it with the "High" tower, the Wall, or even a character, like Euron. "Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a Fall." Proverb 16:18. We also can't forget that all of this would be occurring at "Battle Isle", as well. If that's not a hint, I don't know what is. Cheers!

Im so amazed at the connections you guys make. i never even noticed the line about the high tower fire turning green. i probably read right over it.
I remember reading Memorry Sorrow and Thorn and never realizing I skipped To Green Angel Tower Part I (book 3 of 4) and it never made a lick of difference to the outcome. In fact, it allowed me not to read about characters I could not care about. And I remember reading the final conclusion and being utterly pissed because ... nothing mattered.
Well done as always Amanda. Really interesting stuff , its crazy to think of the potential carnage and general result(s) Euron's insanely evil sacrifice will give rise to. Multiple types of ultra-taboo type sacrifices very much included. Multiple counts of kinslaying via fratricide (Aeron / brother) & filicide (his unborn child). Euron's unborn child could be considered king's blood as well , mother of his child being sacrificed as well. Along with so many types of sacrifices from numerous magical & religious orders (seems to have so many varied types covered there). Ntm , the sheer amount of sacrifice will be massive. Euron seems to be covering every possible evil angle with this impending bloodbath. Magical horns and wildfire in close proximity as well. Toppling towers could very well be on the menu along with Euron's evil ascension (or at the least a key step towards that). I just hope sooner rather than later all the evil darkness Euron is dabbling in ideally literally but at least figuratively blows up in his face and he is possibly overwhelmed / consumed by it in a very Lovecraftian way.

It does seem that Euron's characters is on the cusp of some diabolical, Lovecraftian transformation. But into what? A dragon? Aeron's elixir driven vision described him as something more akin to a Kraken.

The spirit of the Night's King/Azor Ahai is probably even guiding Euron to perform this ritual through dreams or the visions he gets from Shade of the Evening. In the same way Bloodraven and Quaithe guide Bran and Dany respectively. It's also similar to the way Cthulhu would call to his followers through dreams in H P Lovecraft.
I hope there'll be still more videos about this subject. My mind is still reeling with questions.

I think he’s the Three Eyed Crow. He will leap off the tower, as he is critically wounded, to « fly ». He will have appeared to have died, but we’ll later realize that his mind traveled back in time, and he eventually became the Three Eyed Crow. He is now luring Bran to take over his body and become king.
I always knew the Hightower was a big blunt waiting to get lit.😎
Jokes aside though, you blew my mind with this video. The parallels between Aerion and Euron are interesting. I've never thought about it before, but from the top of my head, I think they are the only two males mentioned in all of the books and novellas that molests their little brother(s).

What if it entails waking the dragon from stone = gathering together the stone men (w dragon scale or greyscale) from Valyria? Could this make some sort of sense? Euron is a sailor whose sailed the world… His other sailors have their tongues removed so they cannot talk either which makes it seem like they may know something or have seen something along their travels…
I definitely believe the original Azor Ahai was afflicted by greyscale, I think Euron's scale armor is a nod to this and Argoth Stone Skin was likely a variation in the Azor Ahai story. I have a video touching on it in my ironborn series. Im hoping to merge the concepts in a video discussing roaring giants after the hightower video.😊
Since this video mentions them and you spoke of them on your twitter, I don't think glass candles see the future (or very far into it if they do). From my understanding, they let you communicate across long distances and maybe even see through them. Think like a basin that would be in other fantasy novels.

Part of me wonders if this goes back to the library in winterfell burning the day the assassin came for bran. At least in symbolism. I know we are pretty much confirmed the cats paw was sent by joff at this point. But the library burning always bothered me when the starks had what was probably one of the last remaining fragments of unnatural history. But Tyrion took it with him to the wall. He said he was reading about dragons to Jon. Seems convenient is all.

Hey...how's this: everything happens just as you said, but from burning Hightower tower comes a real dragon (assuming it's hidden beneath the fused stone fortress or somewhere).
Euron has a dragon horn and then he can control it. So in a way it'll be GoT season 8, where Dany and Jon fight the Night King (Euron) who also has his own dragon now.

What if Euron's ritual dooms Iron Islands instead of Oldtown? Could Damon II also has dreams of turning into a dragon/hatching dragons because during his time in Westeros, his supporters try to steal dragon eggs because of the dreams he had 🤔

Do you think that there is also something holy underneath the tower. Just because it is on a place called battle isle which people have forgotten the actual battle. Could there be fallen magical items that could be used in war like horns and dragons under the high tower.
I recommend watching part II for the explanation of the battle that took place and my mazemaker video on a deeper dive on the topic of the purpose and origin of the maze at the base of the hightower. Basically the battle that took place that gave the island its name was most likely the battle that brought the OG Azor Ahai down. And his spirit is most likely trapped within the base.

The ritual Euron is doing is probably the same one that the Valyrians used to become dragonriders in the first place. It really highlights how depraved they Valyrians were, if they built an entire civilisation based around that barbaric ritual.
That’s what I’ve always thought. They were literally the worst kind of people imaginable.

Honestly I think the Valyrians were just tools to breed dragons at first and they just kinda had the powers fall into their laps.

I don't see Sam dying in the Oldtown attack, but I think there are hints he will make it out. I seem to remember a passage where he thinks about sending gilley to horn hill if things go bad. Maybe its more wishful thinking of Sam making it out unscathed.
It's not really difficult to make fire green, you just need to add some copper. The maesters would no doubt be aware of this, so I think it's a stretch to say the green fire has to be wildfire. Wildfire would be an utterly unhinged way to make the flame green when safer and easier options are readily available
The "baleful green" description is used twice to describe the wildfire during the battle of the blackwater. Also, the Alchemist guid who makes the substance is centralized in Oltown The faceless man posing as pate refers to himself as "The Alchemist" and one of the only Lovecraft stories to have reference to a rusted iron hinge opening a door is a short story called "The Alchemist" about a long dead sorcerer who didn't really die and found the secret to live forever. I'll probably do a video about it eventually.
At the same time though it's exactly the kind of nutty shit I'd expect from Martin's characters.
