Hahahaha! 😂😂😂 Maaan, it's ironic how the praise and excitement this newfound (theoretic) lore is getting is only testament to how crap the storytelling and in-game story itself were. Made me dislike the game even more. 😒
This makes Ardyn and Ifrit's characters even more tragic. We all thought Ifrit was only in this to destroy humanity and worked with Ardyn to achieve that. But no. They had a common goal. They both wanted revenge for how they were wronged. Ifrit because of the other Astral Gods killing Eos(Ardyn's mother) and Ardyn because his kingdom, his birthright was stolen from him by his own brother and had everyone turn against him which caused his daemon energy to influence and feed his anger and spite even more. Ardyn and Ifrit were both dealt a very bad hand and got fucked over by the gods and humanity.
the first video was cool but in this one i think you are wrong,we know in ff13 vs ardyn was not related to the king family but was one of the messenger of chaos, the dark crystal so it could be a left over of this old plot...
It should be noted that SE wanted the playerbase to figure things out on their own though, and that is exactly what we have done, they are already making changes to the story mind you, plus the DLC additions, but overall SE got what they wanted, the players talking and discussing about the lore :)
When I first saw the rock of ravatogh i was so sure there would be something about ifrit and hoped there would be a ifrit boss fight before the timeskip and then later a second one (the one that actual happens) and i was so destroyed when there was "nothing" and after i finished the story i came back to it and was so confused over the looks of the volcano and now i finally understand why because its ifrits horn! Please Square give us backstory cutscenes!!!!!!
In Greek mythology when Zeus wanted to punish Aphrodite he had Eros make her fall in love with Prince Anchises. She birthed Aeneas, founder of Rome, from that union. There is record of goddesses being shamed for sleeping with mortal men (despite gods doing so with mortal women). I still believe Ifrit is Eos brother. That is why he would go into the Underworld for her.
Brian MacLeod Aeneas is the forefather of the twins. The twins were born in Latinum, the city Aeneas founded with refugee Trojans. After Romulus and Remus were exposed to die as infants they weren't taken back into the city proper. Hence why the twins had to build their own neighboring city which would later grow so large it would engulf Latinum and become one big megapolis. That is why the Romans spoke Latin and not Roman.
Holy crap, this is amazing. Why couldnt some of this stuff be more fleshed out in the game. Having said that, I do think games are at their best when they allow the player to dig a little deeper in the lore if they are interested. I dont think a company should ever give everything away in the main story, but leave bread crumbs for the fanbase to figure out for themselves. Pitioss Dungeon is actually a masterpiece of a dungeon. I have never seen a dungeon so well made that tells an entire story.
Fake Name I am doing that in a story I am writing for my animation project. I am a professional animator. If I did that, than people will talk about how incomplete the story is. I love it when team Ico dose that way with Ico and SOTC.
I honestly wish they had a few more cut scenes inside the secret dungeon. I love lore but even designing lore story is not an easy job, no one does it better than dark souls developers. final fantasy 15 is a great game with a great story but the story is entirely untold which is a bummer for me.
I think this "bread crumbs" tactic paid out in the end. It is really time/cost consuming to make cinematics and such while leaving bits and pieces everywhere involves the community to put the pieces together for the clear picture.
ChryI these are not breadcrumbs this is the entire bakery that for some reason they failed to properly present it to the player and then we have poor pez and 1000 of fans hammering their dicks as hard as they can to squeeze as much as we can to fill the gap this game left in our hearts.
I love the idea of The Rock of Rav being the corpses of Eos and Ifrit, it really compliments how the Astrals are being killed yet still able to be summoned still connected to the World, they're reborn (sort of). Great stuff, glad you shared someone else's thoughts, if you didn't then I more than likely never would have known about them.
Yep, and now It totally fits. I knew I liked the wibes I was getting from the story of XV. There was something truly marvelous buried in its framework.
and it also in a sense clarifies the whole thing about the theme in vs XIII where the lucis family was actually evil even if they themselves don't know it.
Literally finished FFxv Royal edition last night and cannot stop watching your videos - been watching them all day. thank you so much for putting everything into context for me
Mind-blowing. I'm speechless. Just look at the english lyrics of 'Somnus' and the Latin meaning of the name 'Ardyn' hat his surname 'Lucis Caelum'. It all makes sense! Thanks Pez for mind-blowing me with all your amazing videos!
Your videos have made me see this game in a whole new light. I liked this game before, but this depth to the story I felt it was missing has made me love it. You sir have just earned yourself another subscriber.
I was just talking about this with my friends today. This would of been an amazing story.. if square had just gone ahead and told it outright, and not with DLC, movies, alternate games, and whatever
It has been a while since you blew my mind this wide open Pez!!! 0_o Goddam I wish this had been far more fleshed out in the game, it would have been even darker and sadder than it already was. Could have been truly EPIC
This changes everything, I knew there was a reason I loved this version of Ifirit. Such a tragic story, literally can't believe how masterfully they hid that Eos Wing/Ifirit Horn in plain sight. We need an episode Ardyn!
OMG Thank you so much for your videos! I spent days and days all alone trying to comprehend FFXV lore and thanks to you I understand it all now! There're still things to discuss about Ardyn's true name (the speech in french is a little different) but wow, amazing work, you blew my mind away! I was litterally crying by the end of your video! Love this game and Ardyn so much!
Absolutely! They could even make it a story that align the same time line as XV told from Ardyn's persepective. All while adding in his back story through playable flashbacks and stuff like that... I can dream.
Matthew Mellott I need to see more about ardyn, noctis father, ingis, and lady Luna. I also hope they would do ff15-2 and ff15-3, at least make good use of the engine and story lore they have.
Pez you're freaking insane... and I LOVE IT!!! XD I wish all of these story details were more overt in the game itself though. I hope Square puts this much thought into the story of Final Fantasy 16, but represent it visually in the game. Keep up the videos buddy!
I love this so much. I may have had more enjoyment from the many XV theories you've made both before and after release. These are soooo good. Thanks again mate. I'm gonna need to go pick up the brain bits off the floor now. 😘
i am completely mind blown how on earth do you come up with these theories and actually prove it to be correct while they give you mere scraps to go on
This whole video completely changed my view on the story line and I actually believe that it's really what happened. I truly appreciate all your theories though because they show that square didn't give up on us and they gave us a really deep story 😭😭
I've been watching some of you theory video and maaaaaan !!! Amazing analysing work !! I guess I don't understand every single word you say 'cause it's not my native language but for what I understand, it's mindblowing ! Subscribed ! I've always thought that really few things in the FF saga was left to chance. It's just a shame they're SUCH A HUGE part untold in FFXV
who the hell dares to give you a dislike?? look.. even your theories weren´t correct they match, and I strongly believe you are completely right. I´ll like you to know that i never see american/english youtubers and you are the first one i´m seeing. Even my english is quite good, i just get mad cause i don´t understand everything you say, and i´ll love to hear your theories in my mother thongue. I´ve been watching many videos you´ve made and i have to say that You are such a great investigator, keep like this and doing this kind of videos, they are the personified quallyty. Here you have a new fan and suscriptor, thanks for your videos.
also I dont know if you guys caught it but the first half of the mountain is fiery and full of lava while the other side when you go to the summit, there is life there in the giant bird eggs you see. So on eos's body or side of the mountain there is life which to me represents her, and the fire on the other side represents ifrit
I just figured out today he's(ardyn) in ff, advent children and a few other scenes in games.idk about the backstory until now. a fallen summon or a grim reaper of sorts
This is great! Although I'm not sure Genji necessarily means twins. This might tie into Gladio's DLC coming up, but let me mention something that popped up in my mind. For any Japanese person or Japanese history buff, the word Genji will remind them of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, the tragic hero of 13th century Japan, younger brother of Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first Shogun of the Kamakura era (really, the first Shogun ever). Genji refers to anybody from the Minamoto family line. Historically, Gilgamesh (since FFV, if I remember correctly) has often had the Genji armor series in the Final Fantasy series (that had Gilgamesh appear in any form). I may be mistaken about this part, but as far as I can remember, this seems to be the case. Gilgamesh seems to be modeled after Benkei, the warrior monk, who was Yoshitsune's faithful follower/bodyguard. We know that FFXV's Gilgamesh is the first Lucian king's "Shield" (at least in the Japanese trailer). Both Benkei and Yoshitsune eventually are killed by Yoritomo, as the younger brother became so popular among the people, and was also a favorite of the Emperor. I feel this is another hint towards the theory that Ardyn and Izunia were twins (or at least brothers), where Ardyn was likely the younger brother, who commanded respect and loved by the people. Izunia gets jealous, and wipes him out from history, and becomes King. It's also reminiscent of the Cain and Abel story. I don't know. Thoughts?
Man, I love your videos. These theories and all the evidence around are super mind blowing. The way you explain them and get so excited about it makes it really fun to listen to. :D Also, my first born for an Ardyn DLC! Hell, I'd even settle for a complete game. Just make it happen.
While with many games I enjoy their stories and then after additional play through I pick up more things and see deeper story, I have to say Bravo. This seems exceptionally legit to me and adds so much more depth and meaning to the story. I really hope they decide to add content to explain this for those who cannot connect the dots as easy nor really wish to hunt for it. I didn't finish final dungeon but I saw the symbolism and knew there was some extremely deep meaning to it, I could also see that specific characters were involved I just didn't have lines connecting them. So thank you for finding the deeper meaning and explaining it to us. Thanks to all those who had a hand in it. It is really cool sometimes to see people(artists, writers, and designers) that create something so deep and so massive that it takes vast amounts of digging or exceptional attention to detail for it to be brought out to light.
That's why I am strongly opinionated about Izunia being Ardyn's son rather than his twin. I think his twin started the Fleuret bloodline and was probably a woman, since the Fleurets are a female dominated line.
Only the Caelums and Fleurets out of every other human have the divine powers of taming, summoning and subduing the gods, healing the starscourge and also wield royal arms since her trident is one, and we also get royal arms from the Fleuret queens like the Star of the Rogue, hence why I think Ardyn's twin is a woman and started that line. Even Pez mentions the star there.
It all makes sense now and wow Ardyn got screwed even harder than I imagined. He wasn't denied a kingdom he was denied his own mother's heart by his brother, the gods and the people he saved. He was even denied death and any form of salvation. The saddest part is he was probably the one that resembled Eos the most. Argh damn square if only they could have had Ardyn become a parody of Eos in the end becoming a god of dusk through the star scourge bringing to light the pain they gave to Eos that carried over to her descendants
When you asked why only thirteen lucii made me think of the armiger weapons and how each is tied to one of the lucii I also remember at the start of the game they make reference to some being "lost" or possibly destroyed. Maybe there is a life link between the spirit and the weapon. One other thing about ardyn ever since I beat the story and with ignis dlc I think ardyn pulled an orphan and made himself a warrior strong enough to kill him. Maybe his vengence could only be complete with his own death as well. The final trace of their gifts being wiped away.
Honestly Noctis and Ardyn are two sides to the same coin. Both were puppets to the gods, both sacrificed but for what? Ardyn thought his ability to take in the scrouge was a good thing he thought it helped that he would be the one to bare the darkness but then the gods denied him his right they deemed him unfit even though he used this power for good. They tore ardyn in two by making him believe what he was doing was wrong when he believed in his heart him being able to take in the scourge was good. I mean in that instances id be mad as hell too considering he was given the gift of healing only to be told using it was a sin in a way. My question is what would e happened if Noctis had the same ability as Ardyn to take the scourge out of someone, would they then condemn him to the same fate as ardyn? Would the cycle then reset and again they must choose another? Episode ardyn added a lot of detail to ardyns story making him a really tragic character. A victim of gods using their power to control the world. From birth Ardyn and Noctis’ stories were written with no other outcome...
Where can I find the sung version of "Terra" you used at the end? Also, I want to take a minute to thank you. You have cleared so much up and made FFXV a more complete and clear story for me than what Square did. Strong work.
Crazy side theory: What if the Flueret family line are descendants of Ardyn, being healers and Ardyn jumped the shark either forcing Noctis to become a "True" king knowing if he didn't defeat Noct, that the power would claim Noct and destroy him. He did this to stop a possible child of Noct and Luna to be the true "True" king, being born of both families and having the powers of both. A being to powerful for Arden to contend with, while stopping the mending of family his action sundered.
''and also he changed his hair..THAT is so deep!'' well hair styles are really important after all haha. Thanks for explaining everything man I never would have come up with all those theories myself :o
It's interesting when you talk about the messengers because in the illustration, all the characters bowing down have wings (Even Gentiana and the doggos) which you don't see physically as part of them in the game. So When you can see that the Nidir character is also bowing, he has wings too so it totally makes sense he is a messenger as well because he is the same as Gentiana+Pups).
I agree, I want a dlc on ardyn's back story, I wanna see the supposed betrayal that befell him. I wanna see how he transforms himself from Ardyn Lucis Caelum to Ardyn Izunia.
Haha cheers peasant through these vids I am back in love with ff15! I believe the free story dlc(a little with ignis too) will drop all this as we gotta wait ages for it.
I always thought that when you met Bahamut in the Crystal it was actually Izunia possessed by Bahamut rather than Nadir because in the Cosmogony book Bahamut is seen only with wings, but when you meet him in the Crystal his wings are swords and that they can fly around and teleport just like the Armiger weapons, something that would've been documented in the Cosmogony book but wasn't. Now one can argue that Bahamut granted the powers of the Armiger weapons to the Lucis, but in the recent update where Shiva tells Noctis about the great war of old we see that one picture where the other astrals are fighting against Ifrit, we see what looks like a dragon with a flare coming out of it's mouth, and what Bahamut's signature attack? Mega-Flare. So that dragon is actually Bahamut's true form, but I believe that the Lucis bloodline was founded when the Great War of Old was still happening rather than afterwards, and Bahamut possessed Izunia to fight Ifrit in his true form, the game did state that Bahamut was supposedly the one who killed Ifrit during the Great War of Old, but I believe he needed the power of the Armiger which he didn't have. Sounds crazy right? Bahamut can't kill Ifrit? Well Ifrit is a astral made of fire and Bahamut's attack Mega-Flare is a giant explosion of fire, even though in the games his attack is "Non-elemental", but a flare is still something that's hot and burning, which wouldn't effect Ifrit at all. So Bahamut possessed Izunia to grant himself the powers of the Armiger to fight against Ifrit and kill him. The Rock of Ravatough is Ifrit's grave after all and those tendrils that are coming out of the mountain is Ifrit's missing horn, which we don't see during the fight against him, his horn got cut off by Bahamut during the war, so when Noctis cuts off Ifrit's horn again, it's really a wink and a nod to when Bahamut, who was and still is possessing Izunia, slayed Ifrit during the great war of old and cutting off his horn. When Ardyn said "You'll never guess who's name Izunia was." he said WAS, meaning whoever was Izunia is no longer Izunia, he's Bahamut now.
just discovered your channel! binge watches three or four videos now amd I'm losing my mind! I'm developing such a deeper appreciation for the game now! and a great appreciation for the work you do to flesh out these theory videos. I'm way too stupid to do this in depth research. hopefully some more dlc will tell us more. btw, can anyone tell me where that footage of Noctis in the dessert is from? i don't remember seeing that anywhere
First off, gotta say sorry I've missed a couple lifestreams, had to make a trip for a few days and was busy. Now, after I've spent most of the day cleaning my exploded brain off the walls thanks to this vid, I have to say you keep doing better and better vids Pez. Bloody beautiful! This is the coolest backstory stuff ever, and definitely enhances how I look at 15 so much. Will never look at Ardyn the same way, nor the Rock of Ravatogh the same way. My question is this: does what you present about Ardyn in this video finally push him to your no. 1 villain, or is he still behind Caius on your list? Side note: perhaps we could see some of these developments of Ardyn's character in the Ignis dlc, maybe he explains his side of things briefly.
I love the whole theory surrounding Pitioss and Ifrit and Eos, and I truly admire your dedication in making these long ass videos about them but there's something I haven't seen you address (unless I missed it, in which case I apologise): If Ardyn really was the first king of Lucis, then how come he had the healing powers of the oracle if the oracle was chosen separately from the king? If he was just a king, he would have the crystal's magic but he couldn't also have been known as a healer, which we know he was which is why I think that Ardyn was the child of a king/oracle marriage who inherited both lines, rather than Eos' child. In that regard Perona77's version of the theory makes more sense, meaning that the children Eos gave birth to weren't Ardyn and Izunia, but the ancestors of the Lucis Caelum's and the Fleuret's respectively. Personally, I think it'd also be nicer lore-wise since it would put the story of Ifrit long before Ardyn's birth, giving Ifrit time to seethe and truly become as bitter as he could be towards the astrals and humanity itself. (Also Noctis wouldn't be 1/113th astral... He'd be 1/2^114 astral sorry but it kept irking me throughout the beginning of the video^^")
Mate. The single wing on Ardyns arm can also be a reference to him being the child of Eos. Eos has only one wing in the murals and the home screen, so it explains as to why Ardyn would have one wing.
The theory I have between Prompto and Ignis's dlc is that Prompto will either take place during the time period he fell off the train or immediately after Noctis is put inside the crystal. And I honestly think Ignis's dlc is after the whole story of Noctis dying. Which it might be around his dlc that this portion of it will be revealed. It'd be cool if he has a dream of his injury and then the dlc starts. It's just a theory but that's how I hope his will start.
i am not really sure if it's mentioned in the video or comments but, regarding nyx, his name means night in ancient greek, making death at dawn by eos even more relevant i think
I have stayed up way to long watching these videos, but it’s so worth it. My brain slightly can not handle this amount of mind blown-ness though lol. Also I need a game just dedicated to Ardyn because there is a lot going on there.
I love how they ended FFXV with such deeper stories yet to be unfolded. It gives the fans to think theories behind it while connecting it to the other final fantasy universe which is nice.
I would love to have more backstory added to FFXV all about Ardyn! That's something I would go crazy over haha! By the way.... This theory... Mind = Blown!!
I know this is 5 years later and probably won't get seen, but the game covers the lucii thing when talking about the tombs. They acknowledge that there are 114 rulers, counting Noctis, but only some tombs are still known to exist. The rest are completely lost to history. Noctis needs the weapon of the former ruler to be able to summon them.
My mind is completely blown. This is too good to be true. I kinda like the way it's "told" through the Pittioss dungeon, it'd take a bit of all its mystery if it were told by cutscenes or a voice directly explaining everything. As encrypted as it is, it's kinda cool. Although I wouldn't complain if there was at least SOMETHING (an item, a warning entrance in Pittioss, whatever) connecting everything told here in the game. I was also thinking about the main theme, Somnus, whose lyrics are pretty interesting. It mentions a god who's asleep, and whose children started a fire. I wouldn't mind if this god was Eos and her children Ardyn and his brother Izunia. Like, everything started when these twins were born, the story actually starts with them. How many things are hidden, is amazing. Some ice-berg Hemingway theory right here... or just bad story-telling.
My take: The players become the scholars. It's like digging up scriptures and decoding clues in the social media/information age. Pretty clever. Most people I suspect want to be told an intricate yet fulfilled story in a FF, straight through dialogue and events unfolding. A lot of things from both FFVI and FFVII echo to me in XV; things from two very deep and symbolic tales. Ardyn is very much like Kefka in terms of position and agenda, as well as psychological disposition. He's also like Sephiroth, in terms of what he inherits from his "mother;" a being who was confined by the ancients, whom would wreak vengeance in the form of an all-corrupting scourge. This very scourge was utilized by mad scientists of "magitek" to engineer abominable bioweapons and supersoldiers, alluding Hojo's experiments and Emperor Gesthal's Esper-leeching to Vestreal's practices. Ardyn presented the scourge to the Emperor as a weapon to claim all, literally absorbing life into its legion. When Sephiroth stabbed Aerith in Altessia, the "black materia" awakened, allowing the scourge to expand and fall upon the crystal. The parallel to FFVII stops about there, but it lightly illustrates Eos being Jenova, or a false Mother of the Earth. A lot of these points also tie parallels between Noctis and Cloud, but there's a lot and they're pretty obvious. So even if the story got lazy for whatever direction shifts, it's fun to think that the history of Eos is there as something for the player to experience, but only if they wander into Hell and begin to ponder the origins of Eos. You see The Titan statue in the ruins, his head's shattered by a meteor cast by the Beast. You venture in, wanting to know more. You see the statue of the woman. You experience vertigo, you go deeper and deeper wanting to know more about this place as much as you want to complete it. Then, you stumble upon these theories and the findings of your peers. I guess that's what it's supposed to feel like when theologists' findings correlate and mythos are transcribed. Makes me fee like Sephiroth, when he descended down the staircase of madness, into the sanctum of forbidden knowledge lol. Maybe Pitioss is a similar allusion to the player traveling into it, to seek the hellish truth of the world. The statue of Eos could be similar to Jenova's chamber. Everything to do with the scourged world is buried there. It just had to be dug through. Then the player emerges with the psychological scarring of the dungeon, and it's time to dawn your Black hood and wreak havoc upon the world with your "brothers." Hmm.
SquareEnix Employee: "Tabata sir! How do we complete the story we didn't finish?"
Tabata: "I don't know. Just wait for some guy on youtube to do it for us."
is it sad that i can actually believe that he would say that? lol
Hahahaha! 😂😂😂 Maaan, it's ironic how the praise and excitement this newfound (theoretic) lore is getting is only testament to how crap the storytelling and in-game story itself were. Made me dislike the game even more. 😒
Alessandro Moosa
Same. Personally I like the game, but the more I think about it, the more I can't deny how bad it is.
Writing something and implementing it into the game are two different things.
I'm certain people understand the difference between a story and plot implementation. Oh wait, nevermind. I guess there's all strokes of life..FML~
This makes Ardyn and Ifrit's characters even more tragic. We all thought Ifrit was only in this to destroy humanity and worked with Ardyn to achieve that. But no. They had a common goal. ☝🏽👏🏽
this does however add a lo of depth to the story i like it
I hope Square decides to add in these story details into the game. It would've made the game way better than what it is now.
kysandrien It wont be enough
Except you'll have to pay for it.
the first video was cool but in this one i think you are wrong,we know in ff13 vs ardyn was not related to the king family but was one of the messenger of chaos, the dark crystal so it could be a left over of this old plot...
They probably will in the new cutscenes we'll get.

FF15-2: Ardyn's story. Make it happen Square.
Thatssomegoodpie Animations Make it happened and take my money.
Thatssomegoodpie Animations no Ardyn SUCKS
Thatssomegoodpie Animations but free
Instead of calling it FF15-2, call it FF Versus XV
Id reather it was released as an animation film, such as kingsglaive. I thought it was a masterpiece of digital graphics animation.

Holy crap I don't have a mind left!
Sue Lightning mine blew up the last video!

The story and lore of FFXV is so damn good. Love all the breadcrumbs they left.
ChryI these are not breadcrumbs this is the entire bakery that for some reason they failed to properly present it to the player and then we have poor pez and 1000 of fans hammering their dicks as hard as they can to squeeze as much as we can to fill the gap this game left in our hearts.
+fleeplayTV Here's a W for you, sir. You speak too much truth.
the ending blew my mind! please do a that hour long video
I love the idea of The Rock of Rav being the corpses of Eos and Ifrit, it really compliments how the Astrals are being killed yet still able to be summoned still connected to the World, they're reborn (sort of). For a long time.... every time I fly past that mountain questioning its structure... I was staring at ifrit and eos's body....
wtf is life
i was lost after 00:01
Some of the questions were actually answered in the game so i was confused why people asked this shit.
What was the song?
These theory vids are the best thing EVER! I've watched them repeatedly and worked a lot of what's been shown into a FFXV fanfic I'm writing :D
Sees length of the video. Damn, Pez is on a roll. Time to boil up some tea.
I'M SO EXCITED THAT YOU DID THIS
In the end they really did mean the whole "There is no good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
Yep, and now It totally fits. I knew I liked the wibes I was getting from the story of XV. There was something truly marvelous buried in its framework.
and it also in a sense clarifies the whole thing about the theme in vs XIII where the lucis family was actually evil even if they themselves don't know it.
It puts a smile on my face hearing you so happy puting the puzzle pieces together
Literally finished FFxv Royal edition last night and cannot stop watching your videos - been watching them all day. thank you so much for putting everything into context for me
Mind Blown @29:32 love how you really get into it, can really hear it through your voice hahaha. subbed!
Square Enix should just hire you.
I thought that too but then, we wouldn't get all this fun!
This would of been an amazing story.. if square had just gone ahead and told it outright, and not with DLC, movies, alternate games, and whatever
yes!! so excited to watch this, it makes me love XV even more. Thanks for making the video to go along with the reddit threads!
god damn!!! I'll Cry... that was again a great Video. The more I learn about the "hidden" story the more emotional i get. keep it up
A cutscene would have done wonders for that dungeon, the overall atmosphere and scenery was pretty chilling, in a good way.
Love this game and Ardyn so much!
i think we need an episode ardyn tbh
Welp episode ardyn is coming
DLC Pez? Nah I've been praying for an Ardyn based prequel
Matthew Mellott ffxv type 0!
and they have enough story to make one if they really wanted.
Don’t call it ff15-2 or ff15-3. How about FF Versus XV?
Thankyou Final Fantasy Peasant for making a video about explaining this incredible story. I am actually mindblown!
Pez you're freaking insane... and I LOVE IT!!! XD
I wish all of these story details were more overt in the game itself though. I hope Square puts this much thought into the story of Final Fantasy 16, but represent it visually in the game. Keep up the videos buddy!
Awesome video Pez!!! I read the whole article and I'm loving this theory. Keep up the great work!
Quality work sir, very comprehensive. I don't like anyone's videos, but you sir, got a like and a subscribe.
I love this so much. I may have had more enjoyment from the many XV theories you've made both before and after release. These are soooo good. Thanks again mate. I'm gonna need to go pick up the brain bits off the floor now. 😘
i am completely mind blown how on earth do you come up with these theories and actually prove it to be correct while they give you mere scraps to go on
AMAZING vid peas. Its sad to think alot of people will not read the post or watch this and they will talk badly about ffXV's story and lore.
Your story on the first video has blown my mind completely, u left me looking slack jawed
I love how passionate you get telling us about the story. Gives a like!
I love how passionate he is in creating his videos and when he speaks. ^^ Very admirable. :)
Ardyn is incredible, I love seeing these theories about his backstory, keep it going and maybe we can hope for a dlc, thanks Pes!
You made me like Ardyn more then the game did, great videos man, love listening. A ardyn dlc would be awesome
I just want Ardyn to be playable he's my favorite character from 15
I just figured out today he's(ardyn) in ff, advent children and a few other scenes in games.idk about the backstory until now. a fallen summon or a grim reaper of sorts
@@upsidediy3945 you got links? I'm interested in seeing this :D
wow that was a great video pez. can't wait for more story dlc for this game. 😄
Each time you post a theory video, I'm like 😱 🙌 😻 👏🏻
Keep up KUPOOOOOOO.
I find it funny I found your channel and these videos a day after I watched Kingsglaive.
It's amazing how you noticed all this stuffs. I'd play the game 3 or 4 time, and am doubtful I'd notice all these hidden message(s). Good job Pez!
Peasant and Perona77, you are all incredible! Thank you for these amazing videos and information!
This is BLEW my mind out of the water!!!! I wish square enix would have flushed out the story more like this with cutscenes. Love the video, Pez!!!
damn your theories are mind blowingits unbelievable how much sense all of this makes
It is really cool sometimes to see people(artists, writers, and designers) that create something so deep and so massive that it takes vast amounts of digging or exceptional attention to detail for it to be brought out to light.
what if the flouret family came from one of the twins but didnt inherit the immortality?
monkeyswag57 YO PEZ READ THAT PERSON'S COMMENT
monkeyswag57 Yea didn't the Trident of the Oracle say belong to the Oracles blood line.
MIND=BLOWN
Once again Pez you delivered an amazing video!!
KUDOS!!!
What if, the meteor that killed the Dinosaurs haven't never hit earth than Ultima Ifrit had never been or born. 😑
Charon's ferry and the underworld theory certainly explains ffxv's fixation on coins.
and you find oracle ascension coin in pitios too
In the meantime, at Square Enix headquarters: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFU peasant! why didn't we think of this!!
Watching this two years later is crazy how correct you was
Where can I find the sung version of "Terra" you used at the end?
Also, I want to take a minute to thank you. You have cleared so much up and made FFXV a more complete and clear story for me than what Square did. Strong work.
Charles Wilkins do you know the intro song?
This is fabulous. I really love how excited you are that you were right. It's great to see some of these theories proven right
It's interesting when you talk about the messengers because in the illustration, all the characters bowing down have wings (Even Gentiana and the doggos) which you don't see physically as part of them in the game.
The guy in the picture is ardyn. In the final battle I remember him say "finally a king..." and "this is a battle of kings."
Ive been watching your all morning and I have been shown a new world with new eyes! I subbed so quick! i am totally sharing this! mind = blown
I love the whole theory surrounding Pitioss and Ifrit and Eos, and I truly admire your dedication in making these long ass videos about them but there's something I haven't seen you address (unless I missed it, in which case I apologise):
If Ardyn really was the first king of Lucis, then how come he had the healing powers of the oracle if the oracle was chosen separately from the king?
WHAT IS THAT SONG AT THE END?!?! IT'S *SO* GOOD
such a deep story which is why I appreciate how much work was put into 15 even though some parts of the game felt incomplete.
Just beat the game glad I found this video! Now is there one of you doing a story-time by reading the reddit post for us :)
I have stayed up way to long watching these videos, but it’s so worth it. My brain slightly can not handle this amount of mind blown-ness though lol.
Also I need a game just dedicated to Ardyn because there is a lot going on there.
Well that gives a new meaning to the logo. Luna and Noctis becomes Eos and Ifrit (with Ifrit sat on the throne, like in the end battle)
Mind = Blown!!
you are the best. thank you for solving this out. you simply made final fantasy 15 great again in my heart. thanks to you
For Eos's sake,I'm not the only one who have thought so deep on all this, dude, now I can finally rest well, for knowing my speculations have been true
M-I-N-D-B-L-O-W-N. Thanks Pez. I'm off to reddit to read the book of a post.
HEY PEZ!!!!! You're awesome dude! All I wanted to say :P
I was following along like "this is cool, it makes sense" then I hit 12:20 "Noctis is Terra" and almost spit my drink out. Really fun video.
My take:
The players become the scholars.
Then the player emerges with the psychological scarring of the dungeon, and it's time to dawn your Black hood and wreak havoc upon the world with your "brothers."
Hmm.
I love you so much for these videos Peasant you're the GOAT 😭
