    My dad used to make amazing, detailed model cars like this. He died 12 years ago and this video brought me comfort. Seeing the parts, tools and work made me think of him. Additionally I watched this with my 3 year old and he thinks you’re my dad (I told him his grandpa loved to make model cars). He loves watching these and will say “what’s grandpa doing now? Why is he using that tape?” I hope it’s okay that I let him believe he is watching grandpa in action. ❤
    Thanks for the content!

    What's the worst mistake you ever did building a model car kit? I was actually rebuilding a model I purchased from eBay and I spent a lot of time on the body. I used break fluid to take the paint off the body and I sanded all the imperfections away primed it and did a lot more sanding and I had this body almost perfect. Then I had some solution I use to wash away any grime and dust so I started spraying it on the body and then I noticed the fibers from the cloth started sticking to the body and the next thing I know the car literally started melting away and I opened the solution I had and I forgot I was using some of my wife's nail polish on another project. There was nothing I could do but to watch it melt in slow motion. Lesson learned. Beautiful build by the way on the mustang do you sell any of your builds you do on your channel?

    Привет, спасибо за крутой видосик. Nice work bro. Слушай сделай тачку с LED светом, есть такие прозрачные трубочки как стекловолокно, дырочки сверлишь на приборке и их выводишь, круто получается как будто кнопочки светятся. Спидометр печатаешь на бумаге и за ним диод вставляешь вот тебе и подсветка. Хехехе будет ещё интереснее думаю

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel

    Curious about how your thoughts on metallic paints in scale. Colours are great across range, but grain size? It stands out for me that metallic paints don't translate as well and can look more toy'ish. Do pearl finishes over flat colours solve that? Or are we at the limit?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  3 года назад +1

      Paint scale is relative. No flake size is the same. Even on 1:1 cars. Its hard to scale it down.
      No i don’t always agree with the “flake size”. But i do take it for granted a little bit. As the colors still look amazing, and have the look i’m after.
      Pearls have a smaller “flake”. But also give an entirely different finish and look.

    Impressive work sir, I'm doing a blue Corvette GS 1996 and when I removed the masking tape I noticed a little blue blurred spot on the white strip. Would you paint it white over the blue spot using a very fine brush or would you use acetone instead?Thanks!

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  3 года назад +1

      Since i don’t know what paint you use. Acetone is not something i suggest. Maybe sand it down and spray some more paint on? Or if its simply straight white. Sand it. And clearcoat over it

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel

      Depends on the primer you use. The temperature in the room, how thick you spray etc etc. I usualy let it dry for an hour or so.
