Thanks Tom, excellent review.
Tom, I really enjoy your reviews. Thank you
Thanks Dave, i'm glad you do 👍🍕
That was both informative and entertaining. Great ;)
Thanks! 🙏
Great review. You are spot on when you said about the stone missing, I would imagine most people buying this would be expecting to cook on it that day. Seems like it was returned before, maybe because of the missing stone. Looks like a good beginner oven though.
Yeah I was shocked to see! But guess it’s just a one off, because it’s supposed to come with one! Luckily I had a spare in the garage!! Always be dem ready….. oh hang on?!? Wrong job 😁
Tom, you did a good review for a very basic oven.
Good review Tom, I hope you managed to get another stone back from the shop! Those flames were indeed kicking off 😂🔥
Haha yeah lucky I bought it out from the shelter!
Thankfully worked amazingly for me, been eying up the ooni for a while but just don’t have the expendable cash for one. Took a gamble on this from link in description and super impressed. Hopefully get the karu one day to move to real wood burning.
Brilliant video 👌
Thanks!
Very helpful video. Only stumbled on this after buying Lidl's budget wood fired pizza oven today, for **£72**.
At a 1/4 of the price of an Ooni, I had to give it a shot.
I would love to see you review one to see what you think. Its the 'Grill Meister Portable Outdoor Pizza Oven'.
Hi Bob, I've been and bought one today 👍 so i'll be testing it out this afternoon! What are your first impressions?
I have the same but branded “Blaze box” my Son has the same but branded “Von hause” or something like that. Door works fine on ours, came with pizza stone. There should be a vented chimney cap. It’s double walled . Only cost £79 at Robert Dyas which I feel is very good value. Cooks great pizza that’s all I want.
Thanks for watching!
Nice video thanks, roughly how many KG of wood pellets do you get through each time you use it?
Good question, but it's really hard to answer as it really depends on how many pizzas you're cooking and the amount of time you leave between pizzas. If you use the recommendation that 10KG of pellets should last around 8-12 hours of cooking that should give you an indication
Good review. Although I’d definitely not recommend it for someone getting into the craft. Your a seasoned pro and struggled so a new person would really really struggle. Could be a good garden oven or smoker though!
It definitely wouldn't be my first choice of oven, and you're right it could really put someone off trying to cook pizzas for the first time! Thanks for watching 👍🍕
I want to ask if you are familiar with Salter brand wood fired ovens
Thanks for the comment but unfortunately no, I’ve never used one before
I’ll stick with ooni 😊
Yeah I already bought my ooni, and I’m really happy with it. I’ve been substituting date nights out for romantic pizza nights and already justified my purchase, now I’m just having fun with cheap delicious pizzas.😊
Me too! 😎
@@TomVoyageuk hey Tom, would it be possible for you to do a video on how you get and process your firewood? Right now I'm just using lump and I toss I na handful of chips which works well for 2 pizzas but I wanted to know if there was a cheaper or better way.
@@ziolan8970 Hi, please can I ask if you’re based in the Uk? I know a place that supplies wood cut to length for use in pizza ovens, and it works really well!
Other than that I just try to source hardwood from any trees being cut down locally, chop it up and let it dry out for 12 months
I would since you already paid for it ....
Probably as you said, a return sans the stone.
lucky i had a spare one!
That's a return item. How can it not come with a pizza stone?
Crazy isn't it, i was more annoyed about not being able to film my video! lucky i had a spare!
Identical in every way to my bighorn pizza oven.
Thanks for watching
Pizzer oven?
What do you mean?
Is this James martins long lost brother or am I tripping out 🤔🤣
Haha it’s not the first time someone has said that, must be a Yorkshire thing!
450 cencigrades is hot...
It certainly is!
Excellent
