First drag race supra going sideways was amazing and well controlled, but last the way supra flew off soon he changed to 3rd gear was something else

We all love to see a 1000+hp supra, but they're track queen's and anybody with a ounce of sense would agree, I've always thought that 600/800hp is that sweet spot for a street Supra

It's a German Sierra with some additional plastic, and a not so good yb engine. 520hp and it's marginally faster on the strip than a factory stock Nissan Pulsar GTI-R with less than half the power.
Ford have always been shite, and always will, and need other companies and manufacturers to design and build their cars for them.

Absolute madness! Both of these drivers are savages. Crazy shifts and launches. These old school races are the most exciting ones because driver skill is required.
There really is no loser here because these are two legends, and if you consider that Sierra weighs 1.200kg and with a driver everything is 1.330kg at least, then the race is super 🔥🔥🔥🙂👍👍👍

That 1st standing quarter race had me laughing omg how he launched that Cossie and the concentration getting those shifts right 😂 Brilliant old school battle. I loved it and both superb cars, but i would love a Cossie to cruise around in on sunny days ❤

Phew, i have a JDM car myself but on this one id take the Cossie. Much more effort in the build, so far at least, and the supras kinda get old by now.

I spoke with owner about this, he said he tried but it didn't work, so stayed throughout mid boost 490hp on the last race

The Sierra Cosworth was my dream car when I was a kid in the 80s. Still has the same effect on me now!
It’s the extra torque of the 3.0 ltr 2j compared to 2ltr 4 pot cossie that ultimately won the races

Always loved Fords. Dad drove a 1.2 fiesta in the 80s the onto an Escort 1.3 then best day ever, pulled up to the house is a White and black trim red lined Orion 16i Ghia. Loved getting lifts in that baby. Moved on to mondeo then over to SUV but we still love Fords in our family.
That drive around from the Supra on the 3rd drag was epic 🔥

Supra's like these are the best imo. 500-600bhp is perfect. I think after 600 they seem less usable. I'd love to get mine to 500ish. That RS500 is absolutely beautiful though!

Dont forget .. The Supra MKIV came out (93->02) when the Sierra (86>-92) *already was 1 Year out of Production* . There is a complete Generation between them. The MA70 MKIII should have been there. This would be at least Time Correct. But even the MKIII Supra had a Inline 6 and the Sierra an Inline 4. Anyway Sierra fought superbly and is the forgotten Hero. Supra MKIV is the Cult Movie Car with an Epic Engine. That was forseable like the Astra Gasoline vs Golf TDI Race. 6 Cyl simply produce more Torque from down low where the 4 Cyl has to Rev to Fullsend from the Start.. to afterwards crash down on his missing Torque.
