@@misshoneynevercame4832 don't think that'll be a problem - people have been moving away from so many small villages in the north for many many years, think it's wonderful that some are finally starting to appreciate something else than big cities again. :) Brings life back to the small towns.

@@misshoneynevercame4832 That can be a problem. Where I live the "new comers" very seldom make friends with the locals. They get houses, land and so on and they complain about hunters, the forest industry and other things that they think is not as they would like it to be. They who come here chase a dream they have about a more simple and natural life. They want to live in harmony with nature and so on. And there is nothing wrong with that of course but these newcomers who move here to find peace and immerse themselves in nature have to respect that many of us who has lived here in northern Sweden for generations just live ordinary lives. Northern Sweden is not a fairytale world. Just another part of this world, with good and bad, high and low, and very ordinary humans most of us. Not forest fairies living of berries and dreams.

It’s so wonderful that you have found your piece and so amazing to see that people are moving out of the cities
People gets sick to live in boxes, many together in big cities where nobody seems to care for each other. I live in Denmark and we moved out of the city and got and old farmhouse. I have a boy at 11 years and he have never had it better and he is outside all the time. We absolutely love to live her and live from the food we grow ourselves.

I moved up to my cottage in the north of Sweden 20 years ago. I have been through it all, tough times and easy times.
But as I am born in Sweden, it is all just home, so I like to watch it all with someone else's eyes, someone who just came here.

Is your cottage connected to the electric grid and does your cottage have running tap water? Were you originally from Stockholm before you moved up north? Do you have a big problem with mosquitos in the summer?

Amazingly beautiful...! I lived in Southern Sweden many years ago. I loved living there, so many wonderful traditions. I eventually had to go home to California. I think of Sweden often. You have inspired me...maybe I'll move back some day. Have a Wonderful life and thanks for the beautiful video ❤

I have listened to your vlogs many times. When i do that i hear we have a lot in common. When i grew up. I had all those opportunities you found here in Sweden. My life was much simpler and easier when i was in the villige where my grandmother lived in the summers and winters. It was also easier to get friends in that village than it is in the town where i live. And we had a summerhouse, it was so isolated you could not drive to it, you had to carry everything you needed a couple of hundred meters from the nearest public road. But you could practically do everything there without anyone bothering about it. You could practically walk around outside nude a whole day (if you felt doing that) without varying that anyone would see you.
You seemed to have adapted to what many don't understand when they think you must be very lonely when you live like that. I can relate to that. And that is not being lonely. It is what is commonly called living in solitude. I can recognise that.

I can certainly understand how you get a feeling about something some place without seeing or physically touching, I am travelling at the moment and do sometimes get a little anxious, strange places, until you arrive at your destination, so when I got the notification about your video I decided to watch it, with the time difference it is early morning in Australia, but after watching I was a bit more relaxed. Love the parallels to my own life history! Visited northern BC and North West Territories twice before leaving Germany as a young man and making Canada my new home in 1988. The landscape is quite similar here in our coastal mountains. You have to be a "Jack of all Trades" to live in these remote wilderness areas and you appear to be quite a homemaker too. Liked your herbal shelf, much more organized than mine and how you filmed the typical chores like chimney inspection. Seen your saddle in the shed and since I have horses too wonder how difficult it is to keep them up there. My take is you are well north of Avidsjaur, some of your footage looks like Lapland north of Lulea. Anyways very professional filming and post-production, keep up the good work and you both stay warm during the approaching winter.

Really nice seeing "my" Northern Sweden being pictured so bright and welcoming. I seen many ask about making a living up here, and apart from things mentioned - we have really good reception and mobile broadband, not to mention that a lot of smaller villages even have broadband dug to them. So working from home as a programmer, content creator, music etc. works brilliantly.

I’ve been longing to go here or somewhere in the north for some time. My family were German immigrants and I traced some of them back to Norway as well. I’ve been day dreaming and desiring to go there. I hope to make it someday. Fernweh has become my new goal!

@@angelastewart1450 If you mean sweden house prices can be very different from region to region, in places near big towns with a good jobmarket they can be very costly and if you find something cheap its usually in a place with few jobs or it needs a lot of renovation. On the other hand we have good internet pretty much anywhere so good possibility to work from home if that is an option. Good luck anyway.

Wow, these are really fantastic scenes. 😍 I really enjoy every single second of your video. I also dared to take this step myself, to feel like the only person in the world. My everyday life in the north is a bit different than in the mega metropolises. Unfortunately that stressed me to death at some point in the city and I was eaten away by all the stressed energies around me.

Ik kwam gisteren pas bij jouw kanaal terecht, maar wauw I love it! Ben zelf ook helemaal gefascineerd door Zweden en Hemnet is mijn favoriete site. Afgelopen zomer ben ik met mijn zelfgebouwde van helemaal naar het noorden gereden. Helaas wil mijn man voorlopig nog niet verhuizen en ik zou ook niet zo goed weten wat ik daar voor werk zou moeten gaan doen, dus ik hou het voorlopig nog bij de vakanties! Ik ga je zeker volgen! :)

Beautiful video! I would say though that come winter while it may be a simple life it has its challenges. I think whenever you leave most modern convinces behind it can be though. Having to relearn survival techniques our ancestors knew and taught their children is an added challenge too. :)
