You are just simply delightful and you have a dear soul. You are young but show great wisdom. You remind this young Great Grandma of the simple but so very important values in life. Bless you always.
When I was young (+-20 years), I thought there was a path of my own, but then came bysy years (studies, own family, children, Works, etc). Now I have again time and need to find my own path, way of thinking and way of living. I Will go to this world step by step. And it is exciting.
Dear Sanna, I enjoy your way of videos very much. I am 67 years old and live in a small village in the alps. I always struggle with the cold but your work gave me more acceptance and thankfulness for the beauty in nature. Even when its cold and windy. Today we have the first snow, and I feel more tension in my muscels...but I drink warm tea and have time for a walk and meditation. 😊 thank you so much for your soft way ❤
Hello Sanna, I regularly watch all of your videos and today I finally have to send you a long overdue compliment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us share in your life. The videos warm my heart and soul. When I was younger, your life was my dream, which unfortunately never came true. That's why I enjoy all of your videos and live my unfulfilled dream. Thank you very much Sanna.
Hello Sanna.. I live in the tropical country of Philippines..I am glad & grateful you share your life in Finland. It is as if I am there. Take care always.
I came across it while looking at nature videos on RUclips. The beginning of the video made me feel like I was listening to a book. As nature, the springs of the Black Sea region of Turkey came to my mind. Small villages, people living in peace with nature. Frankly, as long as you respect nature, nature gives you what you want. It becomes more beautiful when we try to understand and love it instead of destroying it. Thank you. Greetings from Turkey, to the people beautified by nature
Another lovely video, Sanna, thank you. You speak very movingly about your life in a remote, peaceful place. For me, your videos are a good reminder of the importance of being aware of what I'm spending my time doing (and I am very much older than you, so I need the occasional reminder!). Thank you so much for your channel.
Contentment is *everything*. It is absolutely the key to happiness. It takes years for most people to understand that. I think your community sounds wonderful. x
Sanna, it sounds like you make a healthy distinction between your personal goals and that of the community. Nothing wrong with that!!! It’s great you have discovered this about yourself at such a young age! 😊
I can understand why you feel like you do. It seems the world has gone mad in the pursuit of money and power. You and your friends were quite right to decide to keep your village and community just as it is. Sounds lovely! Incidentally, your bread looks amazing! 🇬🇧
The world did not go mad , you finally started to realize that THIS IS THE WORLD …. My suggestion to you is to familiarize yourself with cognitive biases … you can also read “The laws of human nature” by Greene , the “Prince” by Machiavelli and “Republic” by Plato… You created the world in your head based on the fairy tales and movies , and now you see that the real world can not fit in to the model you have created in your head and you feel pain … Like I mentioned before read on the subject of cognitive biases …

While everyone else was enjoying the sunlight and warmer temperatures, I was either sleeping or crying. The sudden increase in light affected me very deeply. I'm now in my 50s and I live in Florida, so I don't have that problem anymore! I enjoy watching your videos and remembering what I love about Finland.
Here in Kolkata, we just went through a 20 day heatwave of temperatures above 42 degrees. It was crazy. There's no spring here. It's winter, straight to summer. We just wait for the monsoon rains to bring us relief 🙏🏽
Thank you for showing us how to be content. Enjoy small things in our own lives and be grateful. This is the source of happiness coming from. Now, I understand why people of Finland is the happiest people in the world 😄❤️
I love your approach to life. Simplicity makes our life so beautiful. You said we should be content with what we get from life.We should learn when to stop. Even flowers stop blooming at a certain point. This is the lesson of Mother Nature.I appreciate the philosophy behind this observation.

The bread looks wonderful and you can tell how much care you put into…which is probably what makes it taste delicious. Have a wonderful day and may spring come soon 😊
You are very right about your reflection because it is important to be an individual in a relationship as well simply because we all are one. We all have personal preferences, and we are all different. It's just as important to spend time alone as it is to spend time together and it's healthy for both in which ever relationship really even friendships as well. When we spend time with ourself that effort will benefit the one's we care about because selfcare equals how full our own cup is to share with others. Nobody can just keep giving, because then the cup will become empty, and that will affect others. So, spend time with yourself as well. You are doing something right.
You are an amazing knitter. Your sweaters are beautiful. The sourdough bread looks delicious. I am glad you love where you live. You have so much snow.
I love that you and your people in the village decided to keep things the way they are and most of all that " they" are letting you do that. Hopefully the money and power people will leave you alone in the future and let you live your life the way you choose to. Love your videos and your beautiful country.
Yes, where I live in La Alpujarra in Spain a village called Soportújar has let itself be suddenly trashed by mass tourism & it’s money only for a few & it has totally changed the traditional way of life.

Thank you, Sanna. I look forward to your calm videos. I understand exactly about your village; I feel the same way. We live in the country for a reason. Many years ago we lived in big cities, around the world, thankful for what all we were able to see, do and learn, but it is not for me anymore. I love the quiet peaceful simple life. Our little town nearby is trying to grow, more people are coming in and businesses are growing. I find myself staying away from it all as much as possible.

Thank you for sharing your life. It means a great deal to me. I grew up in the South of America and moved to the Mid-Atlantic coast of America years ago. Then, several years back I moved to Maine and lived alone for two years and can so much put myself in your shoes as you describe your feelings, experiences and philosophy. It took the better part of those two years in Maine with similar weather and seasonal patterns to your Finland to acclimate physically and mentally and my soul. It brought about a connection to nature and patience for change of seasons and along with this an appreciation of quiet simple things and joy in the smallest things that went unnoticed in the hurry blurry of the other places. I began to really enjoy being alone with myself and comfortable within myself really experiencing with appreciation of the world and people around me. Thanks, again. You are a blessing. Here's to a happy Spring.
Your videos give me such a sense of peace. I just found your channel. Reminds me of growing up as a child in Northern Indiana USA. Snow for 8 months and summertime we grew everything we ate and canned it for the winter. Such a peaceful life. I live in Florida for 40 years and I feel the same way about the city as you do.
У нас тоже сегодня снег и ветер. Мы вообще рядом живём, за полярным кругом, только в разных странах. Как будто почувствовала запах этого домашнего хлеба. ❤️
I am an 83 year old lady living in Oregon, USA. I am 1/2 Finnish on my mother’s side. I have three hand woven rugs similar to the one I noticed on your stair in this video. My grandmother, who immigrated from Finland , manually wove those rugs over 150 years ago in her basement in Ely, Minnesota. They were given to me by my mother and I still use them in my home. I will pass them on to my daughters when I no longer need them. I think the rugs will last for another 50 to 100 years.
hi. my name is Leah Backman. I see you live in Ely , Mn. I live close in Chisholm , Mn. I was always told that my fathers parents were all Swedish but were born and lived and immigrated from Finland. I did a DNA test for fun. imagine to my surprise it came back that I too am half Finnish. my grandparents were indeed Finnish. take care
How enchanting these out-of-the-away places feel! I have never been physically in the world of snow and ice, having lived all my life in the perpetual summer of the equator, in Africa, but I find myself, many times invited by its allure and I do watch videos of that world very much. I love how well preserved they keep the environment.
Much wisdom coming from you and your village! There is no need to change, and in fact, it could turn into a nightmare. Cling to your quiet wonderful life! By the way, I make my sourdough the same way you do -- wheat and rye and we are from Georgia USA.
I totally agree to find happiness in the small things like a beautiful night sky 🌌 an Autumn 🍂 leaf, the first snowfall ❄️ Nature gives us so much. As for living a simpler life it would be good for us all and communicating with real people. Well done Sanna. Best wishes Karen 🧡🍁🤎🍂

Dear Sanna, thank you for showing us how to bake your wonderful bread! I can’t wait to try it. Your knitting is absolutely exquisite- how lucky is your fiance to have the beautiful jersey you have knitted. It is early summertime here where I live and we had s lovely summer storm last night. It is early Sunday morning, so quiet and I have just been for a long walk. The door is open and all the little birds seem to be popping by to shyly say good morning. My Son and his beautiful wife with their tiny daughter returned to Holland last night, I’ll miss them. I wish you comfort in your amazing Norway, enjoy your knitting and bread and lovely coffee. It’s so good to know that winter does’nt last forever.....

Snow for 8 months and summertime we grew everything we ate and canned it for the winter. Such a peaceful life. I live in Florida for 40 years and I feel the same way about the city as you do.
its still winter!!!!!! we're melting here!!
It's so wonderful to bump into your mellow, calming channel!
Thank you so much for again bringing me down, helping me calm my mind and accepting the being in between ❤
У нас тоже сегодня снег и ветер. Мы вообще рядом живём, за полярным кругом, только в разных странах. Как будто почувствовала запах этого домашнего хлеба. ❤️
This video was perfect for fika. It made me happy when you sat down for your coffee break, it felt so complete. Kiitos 🌼
I did a DNA test for fun. imagine to my surprise it came back that I too am half Finnish. my grandparents were indeed Finnish. take care
Found a Gem from Finland. Keep growing. Finland, your small village and you, are beautiful ❤.
And of course our peace is within us. Thankyou for what you do.
I love the idea of a library bus! It sounds like so much fun! 😊 📚
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts. I really enjoy watching your videos and learn about Northern Finland through your eyes ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your special video. It is so lovely to hear of your wonderful simple life.
The library bus that's good 😊
My Scandinavian genes draw me back to the homeland. You are so blessed Sanna to live where you do.
Sanna, dank je wel voor de mooie video's, wat een prachtige natuur.
Wow! Library bus is something fantastic! I adore books and Libraries and I've never heard of such buses!❤
How enchanting these out-of-the-away places feel! I have never been physically in the world of snow and ice, having lived all my life in the perpetual summer of the equator, in Africa, but I find myself, many times invited by its allure and I do watch videos of that world very much. I love how well preserved they keep the environment.
Thank you for sharing beautiful Finland 🤍💙🤍!!
Blessings to you and your family!!♥️
The time of chaos is the hardest but the most important-what profound wisdom.
Much wisdom coming from you and your village! There is no need to change, and in fact, it could turn into a nightmare. Cling to your quiet wonderful life! By the way, I make my sourdough the same way you do -- wheat and rye and we are from Georgia USA.
C'est une vie magnifique oui j'adore beaucoup ❤
I totally agree to find happiness in the small things like a beautiful night sky 🌌 an Autumn 🍂 leaf, the first snowfall ❄️ Nature gives us so much. As for living a simpler life it would be good for us all and communicating with real people. Well done Sanna. Best wishes Karen 🧡🍁🤎🍂
Respect from Inkeri! ))))
Hi Sanna and hello from Florida 🌴🌺 This beautiful video just showed up on my RUclips feed and Im so happy it did. I love watching how people live in different countries 😊 I've subscribed and will be enjoying more of your videos from now on. 🥰
Thank you...a lovely and inspirational video. I loved it. And then Rover--rolling in the snow. Brought a smile to my face!
You speak so well that we understand each and every word of you. Thanks for your vlogs. I love NORDIC countries.
When I was a little girl we had the “book mobile” stop in our neighborhood. It was my absolute favorite monthly event! I love that you have the same thing! New books to read are such a great comfort.
Bread looks geeat!
I like your way of life, congratulations!
Such a great idea to make a video about knitting! I will enjoy it, your sweaters look so beautiful with their Nordic colorwork!❤
Just wonderful Sanna, thank you ❤️
