- Hello, dear friends 💙
Here are pieces of my days in May here in the North of Finland.
We are here still waiting for the summer to come. This spring has felt like an eternity. But there are signs in the air, it will come soon, I know.
I hope you are doing well, lots of love and light to your days ✨💛

I'm a nature lover and creative soul living far North of Finland.I create photographs, videos, and music, inspired by this Northern nature and its magic.Welcome to my world 💛
Believe it or not the exchange of goods between neighbours used to be normal and, hopefully it will catch on more. As you say it brings joy to give and receive
it is normal where i live🥰
I agree, my daughter & her husband do this when they can. It's great when both parties are happy with the trade. My son does this also. Our kids grew up on stories of helping others & exchanging/trading.
It is very normal where I live in rural Northern NY state, USA. Our whole road/small community operates this way because none of us has much money, but we DO have agricultural resources & skills that each other needs. I actually use cash very little to get the items I need in my neighborhood. AND it creates a great working community of like minded folks that actually CARE about each other. We have to. We depend on one another to make a go of it!
11:07 I have learnt crochet long long time ago and now I have started sharing my crochet knowledge to everyone through RUclips...
There is a heaven on earth. I look forward to your videos as they serve as an escape from an otherwise cruel world.
I found her channel in the Nick or time. US is a hell hole and it’s about to get worse starting 1/20/25.
Sanna, your perspective on loving a simple life with grace and enthusiasm is SO appreciated. You are a gem. Thank you for letting us peek into your life.
Sanna, you are a treasure even with soot on your nose.
Thank you from Cumbria UK - I always enjoy your videos. Hearing you talk about your not- hills and not-quite mountains was interesting. Here in Cumbria we also have those - we call them fells too. Cumbria had successive waves of Viking settlers over the years and is so geographically cut off from the rest of the country that many of the old Viking words are still in use.
Lovely old house!
I like the old stoves and fireplaces.
My first house was 100 years old when we bought it and we enjoyed it for almost 40 years.
It’s fun to renovate, upgrade, redo and decorate, especially an older house with antiques and heirlooms.
Watching your Nordic life brings a real sense of calm. I love that you get to exchange with neighbours and share life’s bounties. Thank you for sharing.
Sanna, thank you for reminding us of the beauty of a simpler life. I really love seeing the knitted sweaters you wear in all your podcasts! Hugs , ClaudiaSJI
As someone who grew up in the northern wilderness of Ontario, Canada, I understand the “waiting.” Waiting for that first longer day. Waiting for the lake to form puddles and then turn into candle ice that tinkles in the waves.
Waiting for the breeze that fills your lungs with fresh air rather than freezing your nostrils shut. 😂
That waiting has taught me gratitude for small things and the seasons as I now live farther south but still right on the 49th parallel.
Your videos are beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your life of patience.
Sanna thank you for the reminder of slow and simple living. 🦋
We have fells in the Lake District in the North of England. But the Northern part of the British Isles, including Ireland, has a strong Nordic influence even 1000 years later. Thank you for sharing your lovely everyday life with us! 💗
hello from northern Idaho! how beautiful everything is there, i love your country. and your apron and knits and dogs and garden…everything! many blessings dear
Thankyou Sanna, for another, beautiful, uplifting and wonderful video!!!!! ❤🦋🐾🐾🦋❤️
Greetings from Alaska, USA. May in Finland looks much like ours.
Your videos are lovely.
Ciao Sanna sei una donna con tanti talenti ti ammiro molto come il tuo viso così pulito e gioioso e l entusiasmo che metti in ogni cosa che fai nel bellissimo paese dove vivi grazie grazie grazie ❤❤❤
I love watching your videos.. I live in California USA and always wondered what life would be like where you live. For me it seems like a simpler life but I now see how much hard work you put into living and keeping your home functioning every day.. Keep up the great videos..
What a wonderful view of the village in the beginning. A shape of a beautiful tree. I will call it Yggdrasil
Shanna, thank you for your wonderful videos. God bless you!
I live in Alaska and my great-grandparents are from Norway and Scotland. It’s very fun to see the similarities between Nordic life and Alaska life. We have similar seasons and winters can feel very long. I’m happy your videos make it a bit more romantic.
I learned how to grow a vegetable garden after we moved to the country side (in Denmark). This is our third growing season and looking so much forward to harvesting :)
9:12 Papu's reaction at the "murdered sheep"...LOL! Priceless! 😂🤣
When I lived in New Hampshire, I lived there basically by myself during the winter my mother and father were in Florida for the winter and I stayed at the farm by myself. I cook a lot baked a lot and I travel 30 miles to go to my job. I had a big woodstove in the kitchen and by the time I get home which is around two in the morning it was it was colder in the house than it was outside so it took me about an hour to get to still go out and get it warmed up and then she and I have lots of similar where she lives alone because her husband is away and I just looked at by myself I didn’t have any husband or wife at that time, so just by myself.
Greetings from Naples, Florida
Your good and sweet heart shines through everything you do❤
Hello from Connecticut, in the United States. I love your videos. So glad Spring season is starting for you in Finland. ❤

Cold day in Iowa today. Staying inside with a hot cup of coffee watching this episode. This is meditative for me. Thank you!
Loved your video and example of hard work and friendship by exchanging things with your neighbor. Hi from El Salvador Central America
"Plants can form a significant Space of Love for a person if there are many of them. If they are different and a person communicates with them, touches them with Love. All together they can create a significant Space of Love for a person, beneficially influencing the Soul and healing the body." Anastasia "Ringing Cedars of Russia"
What a beautiful quote, thank you for sharing this!
Sanna, Those blue eyes of yours...i can look at them all day🤩
Привет из Выборга! Мне очень понравились грядки. А еще рассада огурцов и томатов. Я тоже посадила томаты. Но огурцы еще нет. Хорошего дня!

That moment in February ❤ when I can get a bit of sun outside my door after not seeing it for 3 months. Priceless 🌸💕

Kiitos :)
I look forward to all your videos. Your life looks very peaceful and productive at the same time. You live in a beautiful place. Enjoy Nordic summer. Our summers are very hot, usually in the 30s C/90s F, so I enjoy fall, winter, and spring here most.
Greetings from Brazil!
Gift economies are wonderful .
Great episodes. I love your new apron and the pie looks delicious; makes me wish I had sourdough starter, but I’ve not had any luck with it. Thank you from Michigan, USA.
Me encanta donde vives !! i love where you live! Que envidia ! Saludos desde Galicia, Spain
Your videos are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your videos are like a breath of fresh air. Happy Spring!!❤
You seem like a pretty good cook and baker to me!
That pie looks scrumptious!
We also eat oat porridge (oatmeal) in the winter. It warms the body and soul! With raisins, walnuts, dried cranberries, honey or maple syrup, pepitas, sunflower seeds or whatever you like!
For you, probably blueberries or lingonberries.
Have you ever tried drying blueberries? I bet they would be very good! They’re very expensive here in the US.
I was recently given lots of dirty sheep wool too! To build up my raised garden bed. I was also able to help them in exchange.
Simply beautiful
Nice! Bravo!
Your country finland is like heaven on earth snow covered trees so beautiful❤❤
Greetings from South Korea
Magical as always Sanna big love to you and yours x
Another beautiful and relaxing video. Thank you Sanna❣️
So much BEAUTY💗
I Maritza from Belgium love all of your experiences there in Finland, you are amazing, pure light of love, I love and enjoy it so much ❤️ Thank you for charing all of these videos with the 🌎 🗺 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Sanna.❤
Oh wow! I noticed a tiny kitty under the woods steps, will you be keeping him? Growing herbs and vegetables in a greenhouse is a good idea, that's what Canadians who have enough land do because it gets so cold up there...
Have a beautiful day🌹 👋
Thanks, Anna, for sharing this beautiful video. I hope you 're well. Have a great day, dear friend. 🎉Bye 👋
So beautiful. Thank you, Sanna❤
Amazing video ❤
Love from India ❤

You and your husband seem like such gentle souls. I wish we could clone you. Glad you are living your dream.
I am so interested in you oven. Would you do a video on that. Like how it works, where the chimney flue is and does it work like the old Russian stove ? Thank you
How we have discovered you is truly a blessing to me. For you resonate so much what is within me and how I appreciate the beauty of your person, your simplicity of life and the rhythm you release in your embrace of Gods beautiful spirit. Thank you. Thank you.
Is anyone there l loved so much Finland 🇫🇮
Hey sanna,I like to watch your videos. Take love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩.
Your blue eyes are magical!
Terve! I love your videos. I have been in northern Finland many times. My mother was borned in Torvinen, near Sodankylä. I have to go to nothern Finland at least one moore time. I am longing for that. By the way, it's difficult to grow spinacia so far north. They needs short days. Good Luck!
wow♫ fantastic footage ♪ amazing as always ! thanx for reintroducing me to your 🍏apple cake recipe too🍎 can hardly wait to smash some of those ✌😻kiitos Sanna 🌲 pysy lämpimänä 🕯🌞
Cake looks yummy…. Would love to try something like this but we don’t prepare sourdough starter…so we will have to pass on this one…hope you enjoyed it!
Hello from Belgium, i find your lifestyle out there very interresting. So much I didn’t know and so much to learn from you. Thanks
Your dessert looked lovely & perfect with that scoop of ice cream. In the USA, that would be considered a 'cobbler', not a pie. A pie is a stiffer type of dough made with lard, butter or veg.shortening & rolled out into 2 crusts that line the baking dish with fruit filling in between. A cobbler is a dough or biscuit dough placed only over the top of the fruit filling. I don't care what you called it, it looked delicious, but thought that you might enjoy what a different culture deems a pie vs. a cobbler. BTW. an apple 'crisp' would be a dish similar, but instead of the batter over the top, an oatmeal/sugar/butter mix is poured over the top & 'crisped' up in the over. Any way you slice it, it is delish! Greetings from rural Central NY state, USA! (and we have long winters too & get very anxious for the spring!)
That opening shot was beautiful!
Your vlogs are so beautiful and inspiring thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
I have been enjoying your beautiful Finland. I live in West Virginia, USA and love seeing your beautiful snow. My grandma's family- Juutilainen came from Finland and I know she would have loved seeing these videos. Thank you for sharing this part of your life.

You and your neighbor giving to each other is so beautiful
