The Bible says that the colors of God and his throne are red and green, and can be seen from the North. We don't live in an area where we can see the Northern lights, but I wish we did. Very beautiful scenery in your video.
I am so happy I found you I am 75 years young and live offgrid in the north of Alberta Canada thank you for sharing your love of nature and your life in the north i love it 🥰 💜
This is one of my favorite videos. I love the life you've embraced. I'm so happy you've found your dream home. And that Papu can enjoy her old age by the warm fire. You and Esa look so happy. I am from Thunder Bay,Canada a lot of Finnish people moved in the early 20th century. We have winter that goes on till at least the end of April. Sometimes the leaves don't show up till the end of May. I would love to visit Northern Finland some day. It is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL Thanks for all your videos
You countrymen did a great service during the Winter War and the Continuation War. Excellent rifleman culture in Finland. We owe you a debt of gratitude to your Greatest Generation. Thank you!
What a beautiful and insightful life. You embrace nature with the frozen temperatures and darkness with open arms. I think most of us would struggle to thrive in the setting having become too dependent on electronics and conveniences. Your sense of awe is inspiring. Watching you from northeast USA.
I just discovered your beautiful podcasts a few days ago. I am mesmerized by them. I have to watch a few episodes every night!💕 I love all the Nordic lands and people. I love winter. I have lived in Maine USA all my life. I’m 72. And I have two adult children and 5 grandchildren. I love to knit. Your beautiful knitwear is what initially drew me to your podcast. What gorgeous sweaters socks and mittens you make! I was delighted to discover that you show lots of wonderful footage of all the nature that is alli around you. Your house is so warm and cozy and beautiful. The lighted stars in your windows, and the candles, the wood stoves, the sauna. I am fascinated with everything about your way of life. You warm my heart and warm my evenings! Esa is a lovely man and I am happy for you two that you are together. I love your dogs! God bless you and may you always find joy. Your way of life is so beautiful. Our world needs more of.all the good things upon which you build and live your life. Peace and good health to you and your family!♥️🙏🧦🧶❄️ Love Katie
Bonjour Sanna. Bien amicalement.
You're the next big thing Sanna! You are truly amazing and you're showing the beauty of Finland. I've had the pleasure to visit Finland many of times since my girlfriend is Finnish, one day I hope to move to the northern part of Finland and live my best life! :) Thank you for being you, keep making these amazing videos! Greetings from the UK
Even in pure snowy white, the land retains a beauty all of its own, dotted with the remenants of trees that enliven the background giving depth to a painless experience of life in Finland. Cheers Sanna - you and yours have a great Christmas and New Year !!
Absolutely stunning. Not sure why but I cried big heavy tears throughout the entire video. You are the real deal. A genuine, humble and beautiful, inside and out, winter fairy! You remind me to look for beauty in the farthest reaches and right under my nose. Thank you. I am in Colorado and LOVE our winters!! I am a snow person, for sure! Never too cold of a day to go out in it, for me anyway! I am out every morning from 7-9 no matter the season. Just got to have the right gear and it is possible! Even on the below zero days. They have become some of my favorite days, as I am often the only one outside. Thank you for sharing your life.
Greetings from Michigan USA. I found your videos earlier today and love them. They are all so peaceful. I am so grateful for this peace since life for me has been chaotic for me these past few months. Thank you for sharing your peace with us.
It's so refreshing to see someone who appreciates winter and the cold! I love winter so much! There's so much beauty in the snow and ice, and even the long nights. Your videos make me wish I lived even farther north. Finland is beautiful!
“The next big thing” is undoubtedly a compliment but in this dysfunctional world the next big thing is soon to be not the next big thing replaced by a new visual vanity. The message of this vlog is timeless and would be as relevant in 1933 as 2023.
Greetings from a warm Texas in December. I am jealous of your cold which makes me feel alive. Your videos are intensely moving - a motivating melancholy. Very good words to live by - Rarely is anything black and white. We all need to have compassion. Cheers!
Thank you for your video! It is really calming to watch 🥰 I myself moved to Sweden recently and get to enjoy the snow and northern lights and darkness too. I feel so grateful for what this world has to offer
Not sure why this video made me so emotional. The ending has such a beautiful message that is easy for us to forget -- even in darkness, there is still light. The light is there regardless if you choose to see it or not. What a beautiful message, thank you for your peaceful videos
Absolutely beautiful! Memories from my earlier life: the sound of frozen snow is still the same, the colors are as I remember, kind of otherworldly. Beautiful energy.
Hello, it's beautiful where you are. I really like winter and winter landscapes. I believe that the world is more beautiful in winter, even though it is cold and unfavorable. Greetings from Poland! P.S. Sorry for the grammar - I'm writing through a translator...
Paljon kiitoksia from southern Brazil. Mä rakastan Suomi! Last year my family and I drove trhuoug Finland,on december, from Riihimäki to Rovaniemi and back to Helsinki. Your countrie is realy gorgeous! .
Your videos are so beautiful, thank you for creating them! They bring me so much joy! In 18 days from now, I will be in Inari, Finland for the first time after wanting to go to since I was small. I grew up having saunas twice a week at my Grandparents. I’ve inherited a lifelong deep love & respect for nature & will treat the nature of Northern Finland as a member of my family. 💙🇫🇮❄️Andi from the Pacific Northwest of Washington State, US.
Hello, Sanna! I just discovered your channel! I'm delighted to see all the beautiful landscapes that surround you. I live on a beautiful island in Portugal, Terceira/Açores. Around here, we only have snow on some mountains above two thousand meters. Our temperature is mild, we have lots of sunshine in the summer and we're very rich in gastronomy! I love to knit and I enjoyed watching the episode where you showed the beautiful knitted items to give away. A big hug from the middle of the Atlantic!
Watching you in the nature center with the benches and paintings reminds me of church in south central Alaska. Outside the foyer to the church is a sign warning visitors to remove their crampons so not to damage the wooden floor.
Another stunning and beautiful glimpse into your life. I love the peace, beauty and simplicity of everything. I am sure it is hard at times, but your joy in your life shines like a million stars! Thank you for sharing and bringing your beauty to us.
Hi from Nova Scotia Canada where we have no snow and are expecting a wind and rain storm tomorrow. My husband and I have retired (7 yrs ago) to a small cottage on the bank of a river. Finland reminds me very much of Winnipeg, Manitoba. My husband and I enjoy you videos and your photos of the northern lights are exquisite. And your knitting is extraordinary!
Your way of life sounds amazing. Such a brave decision to move in such a place. Thank you for your nice words, and all the best to you and your family ❤
I can’t help it, but skiing with your beautiful elkhound brings back memories of my elkhound that I hiked with and spent many hours with. After he was gone we never got another dog. Beautiful pictures and arrangement on the wall. Papa is the sweetest little dog.
Greetings from Minnesota, another place famous for cold winters. But, not so much this year, we haven't had enough snow to cover the grass. I really like your videos.
Simply breathtaking. I love that your older dog is getting pampered. I also have an older dog who doesn’t see so well these days but love him just as much. Stay warm out there from sunny New Orleans.
I so love that big living room , it has space to let your mind relax and wonder , the wood is so comforting and warm . The winter is so similar to this cold place where lots of Finns came to , northern Minnesota . Have a beautiful Christmas time ... Skyval ❤️
Hi Sanna so lovely to see you again , I really hope your channel does well I think it will , as I said in your last video I went to Lapland in 2013 and fell in love with Finland 🇫🇮 I went with my lovely mum she was 84 years old 🥰 today is 8 years ago since I lost her , I have been back many times since and hope to go again in February . Thanks again love Jackie in England 🏴 xxx
Beautiful country !! I live in the country as well in Ontario Canada and our house was built in 1848 😊😊.Our village has 400 people but it's still peaceful and quiet
My house is from 1947, and after my first winter I understood the importance of removing snow from the roof. I've had a smaller section of the house built in newer times, and the people who did it wasn't really carpenters by trade. That means if it get too much snow, it will start leaking in the split where the old section meet the new. That's why I've gotten a snowrake now so it's going to be a bit easier, because the first year I just went up on the roof with a shovel, and it takes more time and energy to do it this way. I've also gotten myself a heatpump this winter, because I had to buy wood and the advantages just felt less and less also because the main woodstove has some issues with it. As a financial and practical solution I figured a heatpump would be the best route for me, and already I know it actually cost less to use and having a more even temperature inside is very welcomed in my eyes. It is a lot of work keeping a fire going, and personally I felt it became a bit too much with the overly hot temperatures that were also super dry. I became tired much easier so I feel it would be better to just occasionally use the woodstove. I'm sure it would be different if I had a stove without issues and if I had trees I could chop down for wood, so for me personally it just became more of a financial thing given it would easily cost the same to purchase a new woodstove compared to a heatpump and then I would still have to buy wood. Got to do something to keep costs down so I can live more for less. 2nd winter here now and I still have no snow blower, so that's next years project. Shoveling by hand all winter has its ups and downs lol. I understand why all the farmers have all the machinery because it does help a lot.
I’ve been reflecting on what I like so much about your videos. And it is very much about your ability to make the mundane sacred. It makes my small simple life feel more special.
Only just found you! Love the expression in the music, quite hauntingly beautiful. It’s amazing but seeing snow and cold through someone else’s eyes is quite insightful. You have a naturalness in your presenting skills that is very infectious. So glad I’ve found you❤
Hi, I am so happy to hear that more people are watching you, it's amazing where you live and we need to see it 😊 I have a question, is it true that you can only see the northern lights with a camera/video? How did anybody know where to look to find them if you can't see them with the naked eye? 🤔 it's intriguing 😅 I would love to go one day to Finland and play in the snow and capture those lovely silent landscapes. I hope your dog is feeling better from her massage, she's very cute. Have a lovely Christmas ❤
That is not true. You can most definitely see the northern lights with a naked eye, too. These that I showed in this video were more beautiful in nature since the gentle, magical movement is so hard to catch on camera. Maybe if the auroras are really small, the are only visible with a camera. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time, too, all the best to you 🥰❤
What a lovely place to live and a gorgeous house. I am not surprised you love it so. A few years ago, we took our five grandchildren to Finland to visit Santa. It was so magical: we fell in love with it. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. A Christmas one perhaps? Love from England 🇬🇧
Thank you again Sanna, for sharing another video. You may in fact live in a very remote area of Finland and even the world, but there is no denying its isolated beauty, serenity and simplicity. I am awed and envious. Here's wishing you and your husband a warm and joyous Christmas; an even more prosperous, happy and healthy New Year! Hyvaa joulua ja onnellista uutta vuotta!
Hi from Southern California, USA! I love watching your videos - such beauty and peace in them! Been watching at least one a day since I found them. In each one, the music is so beautiful and I wondered where it came from. But I bet this is the music you create yourselves! Such amazing creativity you have ❤
What a beautiful place, so calm and serene.. I love watching your videos..in your part of the world. I live in America, and we get 4 seasons, I Love that..
Lovely video, Sanna! I love snow & winter too - my favorite season. Greetings from the Pacific Northwest region of the US! I grew up in a different part of the country where we had a lot more snow than I currently have. I miss it very much and love to see videos like yours.
So beautiful! I make RUclips videos in a similar spirit as you and I think the winters are one of my favorite times of year although I have always wished to live somewhere where we have such deep winters like your land - so much beauty to capture. So glad to have come across your channel- it feels like finding a kindred spirit friend! Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours 💙💙💙
Hi Sanna, just discovered your videos. I love them: so calming and relaxing after a day of work! You want to know how we found your channel. I look at videos from Jonna Jinton and Daniel Erik, and then you popped up! I love the snow, must be cold living above the arctic circle, but also very beautiful!! I'm looking at a lot of videos from you now. There's a lot i haven't seen yet. Love your beautiful farmhouse and you are getting married! I understand it's emotional to talk about, i shed a tear because of the way you told it, so happy for you both 🧡 Lots of love from the Netherlands 🥰
Greetings from Norway 👋🇧🇻 Just saw you on my feed and so glad I did. Very beautiful and amazing views . Reminds me so much of our cabin in Jøssund. We call it our little piece of heaven. 🥰 Thank you for sharing a lovely video and look forward to more! God Jul fra Norge! ✨🎄
Hello Sanna, i found your channel quite by accident when looking for something else. You have me hooked on your simple life and your need to live outside of cities. I live in southern new zealand, we are also blessed with not having to travel so far to be walking in the forests and being able to drink real water from rivers. We live with five months of winter, then three months of something else that`s slightly warmer, then four months of long sunshine and green trees, some might call this summer. Both of you enjoy your days and find peace in each other. Kind regards.P S love that you can feel the souls that have lived in your old house.
Your videos are such a joy to watch, Sanna! They bring me back to one of my happiest memories of waking up in the middle of a snowy full moon night when I was young and going on a walk with my little Sheltie. There is something so peaceful and magical about the snow!
Hallo , my name is Nazime. I just descovered your videos 2 days ago. And unbeliavblely i start to watch all of your videos . And of course follow you. And you just lightening my day in 2 days. Thank for your beautiful.heart ❤❤❤
Hello Sanna! Thank you for the wonderful video. I is quite a depressive winter in Stockholm this year - many weeks without sunshine. To watch your great pictures is refreshing and giving me better mood. Thank you❣
I am a new subscriber and I am mesmerized by the beautiful nature that surrounds you. Your videos are beautiful, peaceful and serene. My heart melts at Papu! I have had Shelties all my life. They are pure, unconditional love. Bless your family…. an appreciative viewer from CA .💕
Awwwwww, kaipaan Suomea ❤ My husband is from the north of Finland we live in Germany now and it’s been a while I have seen your beautiful country in the winter. Kiitos for your great video. Feels so much like home.
I just found your channel and love your lifestyle. We live in Maine, USA and appreciate your cold weather! Your bread making and knitting skills are inspiring. Gorgeous photos too. Such talent! Thank you for sharing your videos!
Hi Sanna we are enjoying watching your videos We live in Canada but my wife was born near Eno, Finland. She lived many of the experiences you portray in your videos. We travelled to Finland and lived there for over a year. I loved it . Keep making videos. it brings back many wonderful memories.
Hi Sanna! We don't get snow where I live often, so I'm glad to have found your channel. I can get my snowy, wintery, cozy sweater weather fix. The winter landscape where you are is breathtaking, dream-like, and full of magic! 😊❄🌲
How beautiful the sky you see there and all the snow and how cold it must be! The skiing looks so fun and good exercise! What a nice massage Papu received, how very lovely and 13! Thank you for a lovely video! 🤍
Thank you so much for your videos and sharing your Nordic life. We have a sheltie too. Papu is so beautiful and has a lovely home with lots of love. Love your videos and am a new subscriber. Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays.
Hi Sanna. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I have only recently discovered your channel and am really enjoying watching your adventures in the ice and snow from a hot and stormy Australia 😌
Your video is gorgeous. The land, snow and the environment of nature in its purest form. I’m imagining my grandparents living as you do but without the snow mobile etc. My grandfather was born in Petalax Finland in 1898. My grandmother also but not sure exactly where. So peaceful, there is just to much stress where I live in the US. My son is a wonderful photographer and does it for the enjoyment he gets from it. So strange to me that you said the sunset is the same time as the sunrise. So interesting. ❤
You inspire me so much to be more mindful of everything that brings blessings to me. We live in Minnesota, and have just experienced a blizzard since Friday. Today, Sunday it was frigid cold, but sunny. We do not have so much or such beauty as you, but there is still beauty when we receive it. I love your videos and appreciate so much your perspective. Bless you and yours in this beautiful life!
Greetings from Kentucky USA. Thank you for another beautiful video from Finland and sharing your daily activities. My brother-in-law made some business trips to Helsinki and speaks fondly of the Finnish people and the good times they had on snow mobiles during the weekends.
Thank you Sanna from Alberta, Canada. You remind me to embrace the beauty of winter. My daughter and I went on a sleigh ride at Lake Louise in the mountains recently. It was a beautiful, frozen day, much like yours. What a wonderful world we share!
The reason i like to watch your videos is it completely relaxes me after a hard day mentally.
The Bible says that the colors of God and his throne are red and green, and can be seen from the North. We don't live in an area where we can see the Northern lights, but I wish we did.
Very beautiful scenery in your video.
I've also heard something like "The Light comes from North". Not sure if connected?
I came for the knitting and stayed for the beauty. Sanna, your world is amazing !! ❄❄❄
Your feelings are like a poet. In every thumbnails there is a sign of sadness which only and feel the man who loves the nature and its beauty.
I am so happy I found you I am 75 years young and live offgrid in the north of Alberta Canada
thank you for sharing your love of nature and your life in the north
i love it 🥰 💜
This is one of my favorite videos. I love the life you've embraced. I'm so happy you've found your dream home. And that Papu can enjoy her old age by the warm fire. You and Esa look so happy.

"In your darkest times, there's still light there." Such beautiful truth in those words.
Your videos are so so so lovely and comforting

Thank you, those are really good advice ☺💙
I'm so glad I came across your channel! Thank you so much for your beautiful videos!
Thank you ❤
I’ve been reflecting on what I like so much about your videos.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time, too, all the best to you 🥰❤
Estou adorando os vídeos! Coloca legenda. Um abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷
Wow, that must have been an amazing trip. Santa is leaving from here in a few days to meet you there in England 😘
Thank you so much ❤ I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time and a lot of love for the new year 💛
Hi from Southern California, USA!

Lovely video, Sanna! I love snow & winter too - my favorite season. Greetings from the Pacific Northwest region of the US! I grew up in a different part of the country where we had a lot more snow than I currently have. I miss it very much and love to see videos like yours.
Wow, hello to the other side of the world 😍 I'm glad to offer you the snow you miss through my videos 💙
Hello, kindred spirit ☺💙 Lots of love and gentleness to your corner of the world ❤
Gewoon prachtig! En vooral een prachtig leven!!! Geniet ervan...😘
Hello, there 💙I love Norway and have been there several times. Thank you for your nice words and all the best to a beautiful country ❤

My GREAT grandparents were from Oslo Norway. This video gives me a good feel of their home and the life they lived. Thank You so much. ☺
I'm happy to offer you the snow you miss ☺❄
How beautiful the sky you see there and all the snow and how cold it must be! The skiing looks so fun and good exercise! What a nice massage Papu received, how very lovely and 13! Thank you for a lovely video! 🤍
Thank you ☺❤❤
Thank you so much for your videos and sharing your Nordic life.
Wow, I don't remember what hot feels like 😂 You are most welcome here on my channel, I'm glad you found your way here ❤
Your video is gorgeous. ❤
Wow, we may be far relatives, then 😁 All the best to you and your family ❤
You inspire me so much to be more mindful of everything that brings blessings to me. We live in Minnesota, and have just experienced a blizzard since Friday. Today, Sunday it was frigid cold, but sunny. We do not have so much or such beauty as you, but there is still beauty when we receive it. I love your videos and appreciate so much your perspective. Bless you and yours in this beautiful life!
Greetings from Northwest Arkansas in the USA ❤ Your world is so beautiful. Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing it
Thank you ❤
Greetings from Kentucky USA. Thank you for another beautiful video from Finland and sharing your daily activities. My brother-in-law made some business trips to Helsinki and speaks fondly of the Finnish people and the good times they had on snow mobiles during the weekends.
I’m in Minnesota , USA & we are having a very mild winter. No snow yet 🥺😭 Your videos are helping me get through this brown , dreary time here.
I'm sending you cold, snowy breezes there 💨❄
Thank you Sanna from Alberta, Canada. You remind me to embrace the beauty of winter. My daughter and I went on a sleigh ride at Lake Louise in the mountains recently. It was a beautiful, frozen day, much like yours. What a wonderful world we share!
