That'll be a very sturdy bench. It should last a lifetime, a great thing to pass down to your kids or grandchildren.

You need a mortising chisel drill bit David. Looks like you're almost finished!

Great bench Dave - I agree, when I built mine it transformed the way I worked and made everything easier and a pleasure to do. Keep up the great work and keep safe. - Dave

Hi Dave- I watched all of the bench build videos, I’m in process of building same bench now, and I loved your work. Detailed and informative. Loved the jigs for getting exact results. My router is going to get a lot of use in the next few weeks.
My daughter has taken to playing the guitar. Just got her first electric one this Christmas. It would be a huge challenge for me to make one but started watching your guitar videos and might be on the list for future project. You are what hakes RUclips awesome! I like the size of your legs. My Benchcrafted plan has them being only about 3.5”. I’ve varied so much that their plan is almost completely useless. I think workbench’s are like tractors in that they can’t be too heavy👍.

David, What hardware will you fit to the base legs to help you level your bench with uneven floor surfaces?

Hi Rudy, the bench will be very heavy like 250-300 lbs. so it shouldn’t move around much. If there is a high spot in the floor I will cut a shim under one leg to stop any wobble and it should be pretty stable. Thanks for watching!

I will have to check to be sure but I believe the top of the table is 34” off the floor.
