Ive been researching for a while as I'm stuck between buying the alpha or alpha s. Many people complained that the alpha s actually sounds worse than the original alpha's. What would you suggest?
i think the alpha better tuned in the sense of sounding more natural than the alpha s, but if you like more bass than the alpha s is better. The alpha s has bigger pads that can be more comfy and angled drivers that are better for playing fps.
Hey im just wondering if its possible to plug the 3.5mm jack directly into my pc's motherboard or do i need a splitter cable to split the 3.5mm cable into a mic cable and a audio cable?
i never tried the mix, but i think its the same headphone, but the MIX is the hyperx cloud alpha with bluetooth wireless. If you don't need bluetooth you can save alot of money with normal cloud alpha
@@ryanhostudio in my country, the difference is about 50 bucks, so it's not critical. what bothers me about cloud alpha s is that if you use them without an incoming audio card with a pc adapter, then most likely the interlocutors will hear the sound from my headphones (a common alpha problem), I do not exclude that this may be the case with mix, but at least I have not seen such reviews about mix

Hey I just ordered it, but I’m worried the 7.1 surround sound wont work with the Xbox series x because it doesn’t work with usb and it would only be able to use the aux cable, does it still work
wow I didn't know the driver on the alpha s is angled.. btw if you use the velour pad the sound will be more bright on the treble area and the bass is thinner

I used for a year alpha s and they were good, then they broke. Now I have this indecision cause i read cloud 2 are better than alpha s. hi the cloud alpha s is better than cloud ii. I would go for either another cloud alpha s, i’ve been testing the drop pc38x and that’s a better option if you like open back headphones. I generally like headphones over iem but truthear crinacle is fine option
Hello, did you try using the alpha S amp card with the og alpha? If so does it sound better or worse with it. I have 6 year old cloud 2 amp card on my og alpha and I was thinking if I should buy the alpha S amp card separately.
I have tried the alpha s amp with OG alpha and it does sound pretty good. I don’t know how the original one sounded. What you could try is comparing plugging headphone to your motherboard vs cloud 2 amp card and see if you hear a difference

Using the alpha for 3 years now... Boys get a alpha if you can afford, it's such an all time goat, while being fun with the bass for music and also clear in shooter games. But if you can afford an alpha s just go for it because it is the alpha but also with a bit more and also a bit more bass. You can change so you will find YOUR sound. I'm going to buy the alpha s soon if there's an offer. Remember these headsets are about 100$/€. For this price the performance is amazing.

My Alpha S sounds very low when plugged into that 7.1 usb dac adaptor.. i couldn't hear proper footsteps while playing valorant.. it's very irritating.. any fix for this.. i already updated firmware version... Is there any way to increase sound in game??
make sure everything is plugged in all the way, than try turning up the volume on the usb dac all the way, the volume on PC, as well as volume in game. Or maybe your dongle dac is broken than just plug headphone into pc?
@@ryanhostudio bro I've checked all settings in game volume to high..pc vol high.. soundcard tooo.. everything is set high but Volume is too low ..very very Bad impression on its first usage.. am in total disappointment .. my Razer Kraken 2019 model was way better till now

hi, I also have this problem.. and I realized that the hyperx cloud alpha s usb soundcard has low power amplifier.. you can try installing a software APO equilizer.. and increase the pre amp in the software.. by doing that you can get more volume plus you can equilized your alpha s to your liking.. however if you have money.. just buy cheap usb dac like jcally jm 6 that cost less than 10$ or if you want more power you can try jcally jm20 (the max volume on this dac can make you deaf) cost less than 20$.. so yeah.. hyperx soundcard is suck.. but I still like the headphone..

the hd58x sounds better for sure. I would take the epos h6 pro over both if that helps (its good at gaming and good for music too). The Hyperx Cloud Alpha s is better for fps games though than the HD58x

Just got the red og ones and didn’t realize their not surround sound. Best Buy has these a ones for 94.99 I paid 55 at GameStop. Idk if I should just keep or return them I really don’t need 2 but I want the s ones. Unfortunately Best Buy don’t have the nice blue ones only all blacked out which are nice too
surround sound is bogus marketing anyways so your not missing out. I would just keep S ones Funny thing about color was i wanted the black ones, but only the blue ones were on sale so i got that…guess it depends on persons tastes

i miss alpha S I have logitech g prox atm I love the mic but miss the sound of hyperx alpha S gave me more footsptes in games but the mic aws awfull I had constantly people complaining mic was super low compare to logitech use blue voice mic but sound even with multiple adjustment options is just meh so kinda mic vs sounds option

50$ in my walmart for the s. At first I thought they were like the lamest but I did research and their the most expensive everywhere so idk why my Walmart had them for that price but I said fuckit and bought one.. better than the regular cloud core 1 and black shark v2x for sure

I just bought the alpha s since my g pro wireless dongle broke somehow. I'm torn on how awful these sound. It's like the levels from highs to lows don't know how to stay the same. Some highs are loud. Some are low vice versa. I had cloud 2s for over 4 years. Loved em so much that when one broke I replaced it with the same pair. The logitechs were good. Found directional footsteps were mediocre, I'm stuck. Sick of spending money to be let down .

Don't worry about it the 7.1 feature sounds like crap you'll never use it, but the headphones themselves are ok I use them mainly for the mic.

1. yes 2. yes bass ports are physical adjustment on headset that add a lot more bass 3. i don’t think so i assume you plug into remote via 3.5mm
