⁴ᴷ MTA NYCT Manhattan Buses: Michael J. Quill Roster Exchange (M60 SBS/M66 & 2017 LFSA/2019 XD40's)

Michael J. Quill Bus Depots top level, the roof, has been scheduled for repairs for quite some time, and it wasn't until April 2nd 2023 when the M60 SBS' and M66's operations were transferred into 2 different depots, those being Mother Clara Hale bus depot for the M60 SBS, and Manhattanville bus depot for the M66. While these moves meant buses still had a relatively easy path to get to the route from those depots, the depots themselves do not have the same fleet roster as MJQ, so in order to keep a sense of normality for these routes and to empty out the space to make MJQ itself less crowded whilst the roof is undergoing the repairs it needs. This meant for 20 2019 XD40's to be moved from MJQ temporarily to Manhattanville, thus being the only fleet in MV to be just diesel powered. This would also mean, while not exclusive to the M66, these buses can deviate from running on the M66 to become widespread fleet around MV's routes, and therefore running XD40's around parts of Manhattan they had previously not ever been around before. XDE40's from MV are also able to operate once again on the M66 as well, after leaving MJQ during the swap between MJQ and MV. Not just these things, but 24 2017 LFSA SmartBuses were also transferred from MJQ to Mother Clara Hale for the M60 SBS, not only to keep LFSA's on the route, but also to keep luggage racks available for M60 riders going to LaGuardia Airport. However, this also means that MCH can run LFSA's on the M15 SBS again, after years of not having this type of bus on said route, since MCH's SBS roster consists of purely 2017/2019 XD60's for the M15 SBS, which also now leak onto the M60 SBS. #mtabus

I knew I wasn’t Buggin when I saw the m60 buses with MCH decals I just thought they swapped because it would be easier to house them at MCH since the 60 runs through Harlem and the upper west side
