  • This is a tribute to the MTA's first ever mass-produced articulated buses, the New Flyer D60HFs. These buses entered service in the Bronx in 1996, and with their high capacity, quickly became a mainstay of the busy routes of the Bronx and Manhattan. Between 1996 and 2003, the MTA ordered over 500 of these buses, and until 2010 they were the only articulated buses in NYC. As of March 31, 2019, only four D60HF buses remain in service, all out of Kingsbridge Depot (which is also the first depot to receive them back in 1996). It is now time to say goodbye to these revolutionary buses and thank them for over two decades of service.
All photos and videos in this montage were taken by me. The song used is "Words" by Boyzone (originally written by the Bee Gees).

Beautiful. Just plain beautiful. Mixing a sad song with a beautiful fleet that's never gonna be forgotten. Splendour is truly yours.
