    Oh man i believe this Pedal might produce some awesome sounds, but dude... always using maximum gain and letting those bees sting your ears isn't the best representation of this pedal.

      That seriously depends on your genre. Im dumbfounded that alternative fusion and even jazz players use distortion and than complain about its aggressive brutal tone

    It would have been nice to hear it without the OD maxed out. Id personally use some OD for sure but just not that much. With the OD at say.... 10am to 2pm you could use it for any genre of bass playing. Just a thought.

    I think this pedal would be so much cooler (and more versiltile) if it was just the signal splitting thing and had an fx loop. Like, you could put a b7k or an AO on the high side and maybe an other pre or eq pedal on the low. You could really go wild and do your own thing then

    Hey Trey. Great demo. Are you using 9v power adapter? I hear 12v is the sweet spot as 18v may be a bit much headroom. I have this pedal with 9v and I've got a little fizz in the underlying mix on multiple basses.

    I definitely think of the microtubes as more of an "always on" preamp/eq. Sounds great, but not as a distortion boost so much. That's why I went with the Duality. The microtubes in front of that would be killer though.

    • @ThrashingBasskill
      @ThrashingBasskill 5 лет назад

      @@reefersutherland4265 I don't understand why you would lose your compression, since the high and low signal are split and don't interact with each other. Or am I wrong?

    Am I the only one that doesn't like the sound of this pedal? I'm set on distortion, because I run two amps; a bass amp for clean bass and some clean mids and a guitar amp for mids and treble that I can distort when I want to, plus any guitar distortion pedal (HM-2!) that I want in the guitar amp line. I understand that many people don't have the back muscles to lug around two amps, so a pedal is preferable... But this pedal reminds me of a cheap radio I owned which distorted when put on 10.

      Yeah man. The demo is very well done and I dig the Kiesel. But yeah, this is yet another video where the bass' natural character is lost and ends up sounding the same at high gain as any other bass through it. Not much booty on the low end either. At this point this Darkglass offering probably isn't for me. I do love the ole AO so its all good

      The pedal isn’t the problem, if you check out Jacob Umansky’s demo of this pedal you’ll hear a drastic difference. It’s the fact that he’s equalizing a bass like it’s a fucking guitar that makes this sound like hot garbage.
