    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  Год назад

      Yeah I should’ve gone into that more I just lose my train of thought easy lol. Biggest tip would be to work on dipping the hand drag how you’re comfortable, and as you get more comfortable make sure your right arm is extended so you can get your left hand farther back without having to dip the bike as far back. Also probably squeeze your legs together to hold on to the bike better. I’m not even sure if I do that but I feel like I probably do. Try to stay as centered as possible because it’s really easy to lose balance and fall to the side if you go really far back with it. And also try to come into it with some speed but try to dip slowly don’t fly back into the hand drag super fast.

    Thank you for this lesson, it was super helpful, especially for a beginner such as myself. I'm doing one foot down drags and sometimes when I clutch it up quickly I hit the rear brake and the clutch because it wants to stall if I don't. You touched on this a bit in terms of dipping back and needing speed, but what about when you just clutch up and you haven't built up any speed? Am I giving it too much throttle to get it up, or am I not reducing the throttle quickly enough? So confused!
    Thanks for any thoughts

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  Год назад +2

      When I started I was also using the clutch to avoid stalling. It’s not exactly a bad thing, it just makes continuing the wheelie require a little more skill, which might be hard in the beginning. I would work on bringing it up a little slower so you can pick up some speed on the way up if you’re starting from a dead stop. Or you can do the clutch up kind of fast but you’ll need to work on hitting the brake a little earlier, just enough to slow down how fast it’s coming up, but not enough to knock the wheelie down

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  Год назад +3

      You’re probably giving it too much gas. If you give it way too much gas it won’t really matter how soon you let off the throttle, when it rises really fast it will keep going up even when you’re off the throttle. That’s what tricks people into thinking they’re dipping when they’re really just floating in to balance point for the first time. Try to experiment with doing clutch ups with a smaller initial rev but then giving more gas after the launch, almost like you’re boosting yourself into a power wheelie if that makes sense. Starts small and work your way up until you find a good point where the clutch up just gives you a small boost, and the 1st gear torque brings you up the rest of the way, that way you get to stay in control of how fast or slow you approach balance point or dipping. Eventually you’ll just learn by feel how much to give it to just come straight up to balance point. That’s what I do, but sometimes it comes up too much and you just have to catch it early with foot brake and then get back on the throttle before it drops too much. Hope this helps!

      Came here for this thread lol just looped yesterday 🫣 I’ve been getting to the point of tapping the rear brake just enough to slow the rise of the front wheel and not bring it down. Well, I never let off the throttle after tapping the rear brake and when I released the brake I looped pretty good! I feel like I’ve never really saw a tutorial or wheelie “ guide “ talk about throttle control/brake PRESSURE for new guys ( and girls ). This is something that’s confusing to me and I’m still trying to workout myself. Going to give you a follow on IG.

      Just stiffer springs. I also like using 1 finger clutches since I have a hand brake but I don’t think it’s necessary on most bikes. Having an easy pull lever is nice though on some bikes with stuff levers. If you want to check them out you can get an ez pull 1 finger lever on amazon for like $25. Here’s a link. If you get one, just know there’s 3 holes in the bottom for your clutch cable. The one farthest to the front will make it really hard to pull, and the one in the back, which would be the closest to the bars will make it easy to pull.

    The trillion dollar question... Who the 'F' did you get to build your R7 tank? Tang, Dicks... nobody is responding to emails or dm's. I got 2 tanks to build and can't find anyone anymore since Graveyard stopped building tanks.

      Dicks customs but yeah he doesn’t respond for shit lol. He’d respond one day and then ghost for 2 or 3 for like a month and a half. It was miserable. Kept thinking every time would be the time where he’d finally take off with my money and I’d never see my rank again since I know some other people have got screwed but luckily I finally got it

    How do you steer ? I keep going left or right . Tried low psi no difference. When the control is all over the place stop the throttle and that sometimes makes me fall over on the side . Very frustrating. I can leg drag wheelie forever by the way but anytime I try regular wheelie control is so bad I bring it down instantly.

      You just have to keep trying till you get it. It’s just a new form of balance you have to get your body to learn. I can tell you it’s mainly in the hips but only seat time will really help you

    Why is the engine light blinking?

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  Год назад

      It’s the abs light. I took the abs fuse out because I can’t stoppie the bike with abs. It also prevents the rear wheel from locking which is needed for foot brake wheelies incase you need to brake hard
