This is my favourite interview so far. Loved every second of this
How does Stephen Merchant not got a mention here?
Because Gervais' ego is out of control.
Why is he obligated to mention him? Get Merchant on the show and he can talk about himself
@@ColmPadraig why is someone obligated to talk about their team mate? Ok then
He did...
Because he's a skinny helmet
This was the best interview I've watched in years, I normally get bored and leave the room, but this was something else. Totally brilliant! 👌👏
You couldn’t ask for a better guest. This show continues to impress!
One of my favorite episode. Keano and Gervais ..... spectacular combination
Roy and Ricky need there own podcast😂🤙
Their.
@@WalterWhiteJPThe spelling and grammar police, the most hated people on the internet 😂
@@bentitchener5965 Cool.
@@bentitchener5965 no need to get offended so quickly.
@@Komorebineeded Eh? Do you know the definition of offended? 🤔 Not entirely sure you do 😂
How good is this show, it never seems to disappoint.
You guys operate like an ensemble cast that's really a team of good friends. Thanks for the laughs. 🙌
Keane laughing is mad. 😅 funny as hell, proper giggle. KEANOOO
The best group ever. So happy that Ricky now loves football too.
Kind of bothers me that Stephen Merchant wasn’t mentioned once. The XFM, Office and Extras were a 2-man job.
Gervais is a narcissist, he always takes credit for the office and extras like he wrote it himself. Just look at how bad shows like After Life and Derek are when Ricky is writing by himself to see the impact of Merchant
Oh he’s ‘avin a go
Ian asked about him yeah, but only after Ricky hadn't mentioned him at all. Apparently his contribution was gaining access to a camera crew. 🙄
@@ripbennyharvey6324 what a hater
@@ripbennyharvey6324 A lot of people enjoyed After Life and Derek, myself included.
so nice to see celebrities sitting, chatting and laughing about general things that most can relate to. Really feels wholesome. good stuff :)
Ricky and Sacha being on the 11 oclock show is mad if you think about how successful they both were. Just listened to old vids of Bob mortimer pranking Ian Lee (11 oclock show host). Bob would be a great guest
Learning English with Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington is absolute comedy gold.
Back, sack and crack wax 😂😂😂😂
This has happened to you hasn’t it?
The Chinese
Tea bag alright?
55:45 Ricky do you like football? "I do! I love it now. I went off it for about 30 years! Then I watched Sunderland 'til I die". lol
The best episode this year, it made my Friday fantastic, thank you everyone.
Oh my goodness. Keano and Gervais, my two idols in the same room. Like old pals. It's like a weird dream. Fantastic ep.
Ricky Gervais is refreshingly laid back for a man with such responsibility
he muses before he answers
“A chilled out entertainer”
responsibility? for what?
@@ostrichman Resposible for some of the best, but also some of the worst, TV of the last 25 years.
@@ostrichman It's a quote from The Office.
Roy must be thinking: "This guy is stealing my best bits"
He thought he was going to be able to skim through without acknowledging Smerchant or Karl, until Wrighty brought them up 😂
IKR! What’s his problem?!
sorry to be an asshole here but roy and ricky gervais couldn't be more different in my eyes. Roy always mention the "good lads" around him for his successes, and even "the manager" X), ricky gervais didn't mention Stephen Merchant until Ian brought him up.
Yup. Chalk and cheese.
Good pick up!
Apology accepted .
one of the first things he mentions is having a good team around him
@@hairsstandonendbut he means his background team; people he can tell what to do. Notice how he didn’t give any real spotlight to other characters in his shows in this interview. Office was all about his character. Wrighty set him up with After Life about how good the cast was and he spent the whole time turning that round to talk about how he wrote all the characters for those actors & then went on to just talk about his own character’s motivation.
The reason Office & Extras worked was because Stephen wrote actually characters to surround Ricky’s narcissism. He can never acknowledge that kind of equality, whereas Keane always does.
Glad to see we're still getting on Ex Man United players. Ricky was an outstanding Midfielder for us. Happy to see him on, with his former teammates. Snubbing the England call up so he could let the young Lampard go was humility and shithousery from the lad. Big up Gervais.
😂😂
Better than Harry Hill or Paul Merton?
Nevile: "Is milk vegan?"
Ian: "Oh, he's done you again, Ricky, he's done you again!"
Gary "what are those things in Gremlins called"
He was using his fables.
Loved this episode. Ricky Gervais is a funny guy and seems so down to earth. Overlap keep them coming
THERE GOES RICKY GERVAIS, I MUST REMEMBER TO THANK HIM!
Roy & Ricky should do an episode of Room 101 together…would probably be about 3 hours long though! 😂
1:55 Roy: "gary, this is not angry. Theres more levels" 😂😂😂 guarantee that's true 😂😂😂😂
AFTERLIFE IS LEGENDARY! Love it man. ❤
