    It’s crazy how so many people have mastered the wheelie.

    Looks like you got some skills my guy. Would like to hear your thoughts on highway wheelies. Back in the day we always looked at the highway as the safest place to rip long wheelies.

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  9 месяцев назад +1

      If you have foot brake on lock it’s fine but the highway definitely isn’t the place to learn or progress. I started off on the highway like most people and now that I’ve got it down I’ve started doing highway wheelies again, but for people trying to improve the lot is really the best place

    Love the video brother❤ my favorite series ❤ fast wheelie are boring love practicing the slow wheelies now on my smaller bikes for now 😂🎉❤
    I used to dip my daytona 675r and used to carry the wheelie longer but never knew about dipping past the balance point
    When the bike is weightless is it at balance point or past balance point?
    I can wheelie way better after practicing to clutch up to balance point and practicing foot brake for muscle memory. ❤
    Thank you once again brother ❤ need more videos on this series and maybe featuring your friends for more tips 😂

      @jar7d  11 месяцев назад +1

      If it’s weightless and you’re on the throttle it’s balance point, if it weightless and you’re off the throttle and the bike is slowing down without the front end coming down it’s behind balance point

    I think the word your looking for is muscle memory and yes it's crucial to being able to control a wheelie. If your have the brake down then when you go to these big rides and they say "anyone that can't control a wheelie then this ride isn't the place to learn" you won't be in that category anymore.

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  11 месяцев назад

      Usually I say muscle memory but I chose not to because it’s really more than that. Foot brake should be your automatic reflex just like when the doctor taps your knee in a check up. Muscle memory is kind of more like the feel for how much brake you should give, but being a reflex is a reaction to foot brake based on where the bike is at

    hey jar7d i seen alot of brasilian guys do a "swerve" wheelie start, they do it alot with small cc bikes that don't have alot of power but also with bigger bikes at higher speeds i think it helps the bike getting up with more ease than just doing a clutch up, do you have any idea on how to do it and eventually make a tutorial about it

    Could you make a video now about body position during wheelie and what psi to run in rear for best balance of riding/wheelies?

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  11 месяцев назад +2

      That’s a good idea. For the most part body position is just however you’re comfortable and a good psi is around 20-25. I will say though, if you’re having issues wobbling side to side, sitting close to the gas tank can help vs sitting way in the back of your seat

    Do you have your ecu tuned for less engine brake? Or is it idled up for less engine brake? Just wondering because my fz07 has soo much engine brake that i have to stay on the throttle even after balance point while also using the brake. Its kind of annoying having so much engine brake.

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  11 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t run higher idle and I don’t have a tune. If you can’t let off the throttle and still be dipping you’re just not far enough back. My bike has a 54 tooth sprocket so I most likely have more engine brake than you, you’ll just have to go higher or maybe try a higher gear

    im still cant wheelie bro..

  • @gingerale5815
    @gingerale5815 7 месяцев назад

    Bro, if they try to follow you they will loop their bikes.. they need to work on brake control and that's it.. if your bike hits 23mph put the front down. Just work on pulling it up almost from a stand still and going as slow as you can to 20 mph. In fact you should practice riding in a straight line as slow as you can using rear brake only before trying to wheelie. Try to balance bike at stall point. That will teach you side to side balance and back brake control. Master wheeling slow to a stall speed where you can hop off and walk with the bike at 12. That's the foundation to all other wheelies.

    • @jar7d
      @jar7d  7 месяцев назад

      Yea bro seems like you completely missed the first 2 minutes where I said if you don’t know brake control to just work on popping up and immediately footbraking. This video isn’t about learning footbrake to avoid looping it’s about the precision with it to actually control the bike and the way you dip to control speed in a pack or set the 12 bar down nice for a scrape. And this is for any bike, what you’re recommending is basically only useful for a grom. Anyone who wants to learn with only a difficult bike like a stock 600 or liter bike is not gonna pop from a dead stop. And anyone too short to really get both feet on the ground is gonna drop their bike slamming it down at a dead stop. And the way I teach about popping it up and immediately foot braking wouldn’t make anyone loop as long as they actually hit the foot brake like I tell them to. They would loop the same from a dead stop too if they get spooked and don’t hit the brake, the only difference is they’d probably get less hurt.

    • @gingerale5815
      @gingerale5815 7 месяцев назад

      @@jar7dhitting the brake to catch the bike is more advanced. They should start off with pressure already on the back brake, and pull up slow. The idea is get comfortable with the bike at 12 when it's going slow. You dont want to experience the 12 o clock feeling while going fast for the first time because people panic. You should be able to pop clutch and park bike on its tail withing a couple feet before doing faster wheelies. You started the video right but they should just keep practicing at slow speed first.

    • @nr1pimme
      @nr1pimme 10 месяцев назад

      @@jar7d But what's the reasoning behind that, it would still let you brake so wouldn't it just be safer to not lock up the rear? Or will the brake not work at all because of the ABS-sensor?
