      My towers have a bass flex port, I wonder if using these as a stand would cause issues 😅 that is a wonderful idea if not

    Awesome review sir!
    I was part of the early access program for the 12s.
    This was the first sub I've owned that gave emotional bass 😊
    Not to mention that at low level listening it doesn't miss any bass notes 😮
    I absolutely love your story about having it in your living room and saying that's going to keep the kids up 😂

    Good review......All of this is true. I've had mine for a week now and am using the high pass crossover (built-in) to feed dual MK1 Speedwoofer 10S's. Best of both worlds. In a small room like mine the bass is intense....clean...and FAST.

      @@Smellslikegelfling It's a filter where you set a frequency cutoff. I too have dual 10S's and am getting a 12S and was planning to set the 12S to 40hz and below and the 10S's to cover 40hz and higher since the 12S does much better with the ultra low frequencies. I'm assuming he means something like that

    I've had my 12S for about a month and it's the best 12 inch subwoofer ive have ever listened to. I too got an early one.

    Sound like a strong room shaker on a budget. Reminds me a little of my old HSU VTF-3 MK4, also with a huge cabinet and 12” woofer.

    Please consider comparing the Starke Sound SW15= sealed 15inch, @ $899, ( 14Hz to 240Hz ), 475RMS/950Burst, lighter and smaller in dimensions vs this RSL speedwoofer 12s.

      Audioholics measured that starke sub and it is not at all hitting 14hz -3db.... from what I can gather, it looks to be down -6/-7db at 19hz.

      I'm also very interested in this comparison. Currently have the Starke sealed 10" and so happy with it for my office setup.

    $800 for a legit sub 20hz sub with a 500 watt amp is incredible. I wonder if these sync well as a dual sub. This can really be a big game changer. This might even compare to the SVS SB-2000 Pro which is $900. I'd love to get an apples to apples comparison between those two.

      Yes, you can use two 12s subs or more, as well as use with Speedwoofer 10s

      I have heard from at least 2 other legit reviewers that the 12s is comparable to the pb3000. the 12s would smoke a sb 2000 and probably smoke the pb 2000 pro.

    Love mine it’s the best sub I’ve had to date this is a serious sub for little money in the under 800 there is nothing that can touch it and even better than some higher priced subs as well .

    i have a logitech z906 i want to add this to that system by using a rca signal split from my tv to 2 left signals and two right signals with one left and right going to the z906 input and the other ones going to this sub would that work?

    Looking at Aperion for HT speakers would this be a better option for two of these vs the aperion 15" theatrus woofer?

      My guess would be 2 is better than one. But could depend on size of your room, placement, and speakers matched.

      @@ecoustics room size is 27' by 14' was thinking 2 in the front in the front corners with 3 tiers of seating. The t65 for front sound stage. TC65 for the surround and height channels. Amp and receiver to power everything but the subs in a 13.1 surround in auro 3d. Saw your video on it and think that is the way I am going. Wasn't sure if you could use 2 subs in that configuration or not. The setup doesn't list it in any config.

    how did the 12s compare to your pb 4000? I would guess not quite as much sound pressure and not quite as low digging, but I bet the 12s is much more musical and better sounding.

      Tough call. We haven't reviewed both together, but don't think you can wrong with either.

    Two tens would be better, more flexible and can work in stereo. Plus, you get more articulate bass, faster punch, more musical.

    how does the new klipsch rp1200sw compare to this? i can get the klipsch for 600 so id save 200 over this one. if youve tested the klipsch is this worth the extra 200?

      Haven’t tested the 1200SW personally. But they are somewhat similar on paper. But the cabinet on the Speedwoofer 12S is so large that it REALLY helps reach those deep lows. If you have Klipsch loudspeakers, stick with a Klipsch 1200SW. If not, I think it’s worth the extra $200 for the Speedwoofer. 🎉

    Subwoofer has great performance, I’ve had mine for 18 months and I’ve had to get RSL to replace two amps. I’m going to give mine away, not even worth the hassle of trying to sell it.

    Sounds like a winner. But it would have been great if you would list the SPL at sub 20hz . That's where it matters. Lots of good subs can hit 15hz but with little impact. I want 2 of these subs but need real world specs. What say you ?

      Well, at 2:25 you can pause to your heart's content to see the graph again. It gives you a good indicator on where the frequency response lies even with sub 20 Hz frequencies. 👍

      It looks like SPL starts to fall off below 20hz but still 100dB at 10hz. Based on what I've seen 2 of these would absolutely rock your world. Expectations for this thing were sky high and every single review I've seen so far has been absolutely glowing.

      Not an easy answer. Depends on type of bass you’re happy with and size of room. 12S will definitely go lower, but you’ll have a smaller sweet spot of good bass with just one sub.

      I’d probably still go with 2 12S’s since they are equivalent to the PB line of SVS subs. Now 2 PB-3000’s would be a different story, no question, but that would also cost a lot more.

    I'm very tempted, but the driver doesn't quite look like a 12". More like an 11" with a thicker foam surround. I'm wondering if a true 15" would be able to output clean bass with less effort in a similar sized enclosure, especially in a larger room.

      That’s possible. You’d definitely need a lot more power to move a 15” woofer at the same speed. But who knows…maybe RSL is already in the process of making a 15” Speedwoofer! 🤷‍♂️🤘

    7 RSL Speedwoofer 12s or 2 SVS PB-16s?
    Well... that's a no-brainer. Heck, go down to 6 Speedwoofers and get a MiniDSP Flex 8. Use the free MSO after getting them all situated and you're set in most any room that's still under the umbrella of "small room acoustics". Likely have even better transients in this setup than dual JTR RS2s.

      7 Speedwoofers would be incredible! Some of our team was at CEDIA Expo last week and they had a million theater system demonstration with 24 subwoofers!
