Really appreciate that CA, and always appreciate your videos and they have helped me on so many of my own when it comes to understanding certain steel capabilities. Keep it up my friend!
This knife is a grail of mine. I never spend over $100 on knife, unless it’s got something special to justify the price point. I’ll never get a sebenza or benchmade because i don’t see any added functionality in another frame lock with better materials. But this knife just doesn’t “have” something special, it’s just is special.
there’s plenty of reasons to buy a knife over $100, mainly because you get MUCH better and more useful design’s because they can afford to spend more money on machining and grinding. you also get massive upgrades in performance, at $100 the best you can get is maybe some s35vn or s30v, whereas even just jumping to $120 you can get something like k390 from spyderco which is one of the highest edge retention steels available and is also fairly tough for a high vanadium steel
@@acid6urns that’s great and all, but it doesn’t really matter to me. Yeah you could get a “better” steel, that has “better edge retention, but weather it’s 9cr13MoV or s35vn it’ll still get sharp, it’s not that much of a hassle to go and hone the edge a little more often.
Their prowess at what? Getting other people to design their knives and other people to manufacture their knives? Their prowess at commissioning work from talented people and putting their logo on it? 😂
Not a big CRKT but I do admit this blade has been on my radar for awhile something I would have definitely picked up when collecting was a bigger part of my life.
Weird to see you reviewing this now. Its been out for quite some time. I really like it. Would be cool to get it reground hollow, and to get the first inch of the false edge on top sharpened.
Appreciate your review. At first look I really liked it. However, when I began pondering it's functionality and how I might use this I had to uncheck the box. Good aesthetic though!
I know you love Lionsteel, so I suggest you to get and review the KC-01. This is going to become legendary. There are only 300 made. If you can’t find it, I am going to send you mine. I am curious to see your take on it
Oh it’s a bad ass knife that’s for sure. I’ve got one in my pocket right now. I love every bit of it. Awesome knife thanks for the video. Have a great day.🤘🏻🇺🇸☘️⚡️⚡️
Really like the style of this. Looks like something Doc Holiday would have carried as his gentleman folder. For when his gentleman poker games went sideways.
I saw some people posting these when they first came out, and it seemed like it wasn’t uncommon for the grind to be uneven. So the dagger point was not symmetrical, and it looked awful. Kinda soured me on checking one out myself at the time. Hopefully they got on Hogue about that and newer batches won’t have that problem. But it’s a cool knife and if I ever come across it for a good bit cheaper on sale or something, I might be interested.
Looks Awesome , but I'm just not a Dagger Guy , mabe a Fixed Blade if I was in the Military , A good Bowie would piece just as good if not better and have a lot more functionality than a Dagger , Just My Opinion though..... 👍🖖
I like it but that price is way to much, I understand materials etc but thats not the cost for real...that much magnacut would only cost like $20 or so...ya around $20 (which is probably high when considering volume purchasing). So cost for that knife CANNOT be anywhere near that $225 price, wait till you see how many of these companies close over the next year or so due to plummeting sales....
So companies should sell at cost of materials and lose money running the other aspects of a business? What world do you come from? sounds like a great place!
That knife is damn tempting but knowing me there would eventually be some stitches involved. But I've shied away from folders after almost shortening my index finger with a cold steel xl vaquerro, nicked the bone but got lucky and missed the tendon. A dagger thats a decent slicer and magnacut to top it off though... I do like your term knife enthusiast, it's much better than what my late wife used to call me, over obsessed knife nut. Going to start using that phrase.
@@tboneaja The vaquerro only had one edge, my clumsy self still managed it. I know that I would end up fidgeting with it and things happen. Still very tempted to get one though.
G'day Aaron, I do think any sort of "stabber" should have a guard ..... for the most obvious of reasons ; ) Besides, I reckon that would make it even more attractive than it already is. Btw; as a common point of reference, my Buck 110 weighs 6 point something oz from memory, so its lighter than that. Ultimately, I'm with ya mate, fantastic to see a folding dagger so well made and with plenty of utility. I'd whack it on my study desk, not that I get many letters these days, but when I do, that'd be the ultimate in decadence ; ) Also, I'm usually of the "bigger is better" crowd, but I really dig the Savvy design as a more nimble, maybe top pocket carry, option. Cheers Duke.
Too bad this would easily be considered a “gravity knife”, which makes it illegal for many places. Especially since there is no other opening method other than gravity & centrifugal force.
It hits the marks for knife snobs. I can never justify over 200 for a folder. Magnacut equals 200+ which isn't compelling at all when you can get 3v fixed blades cheaper.
I don’t know what CRKT is doing with this. Made in the USA in Magnacut and there’s no marketing for it. The ones at SHOT show weren’t even marked as magnacut. They’re really underselling this knife
what’s to stop wet hands/handle + stabbing hard surface = cut fingers?
A thing of beauty and functionality! Love this knife!
It’s really nice!!
Beautiful piece of artwork. Right in my wheelhouse
Nice!!!
Good luck to Canadian distributors... Gonna be hard to argue that isn't a centrifugal knife
gravity knife for sure
yeap. 0 chance of this being legal up here
Move to the us
Still killin it after all these years Aaron, proof you can still make it even as a heritage channel if you keep things dynamic

The fact that it's made in the U.S.A. makes the higher price point worth it!
Totally and I am very impressed with the fit and finish
It took me from December 15th until April to get this knife due to back order. It was beyond worth the wait. I'm in love with it.
Glad you’re really enjoying it. I do feel like it’s definitely a winner if you’re into the style.
the name is fitting, definitely a display of crkt's prowess, really glad to see them and Kershaw getting with the times
I am with you!

Be nice to sharpen that back up and make it double edged 👍🏼 blade looks as if it sits far enough inside it wouldn’t be an issue I think
Not a big CRKT but I do admit this blade has been on my radar for awhile something I would have definitely picked up when collecting was a bigger part of my life.
I think this is the best usa crkt yet and it is at a good price. I might have to get one. Thanks for the video!
Totally! Its looks and functionality is really nice
Man I really want one of those!
Here for the show...
Nice! Thanks for watching, what do you think about this one?
@@gideonstactical I dig it big time. She is a winner!
Make it 2 for the show.
made in the USA good price for materials ...I'll get one soon.....now can I get a 6 inch version?
why does only cold steel make big folders ?

Yelp better late than never

Excellent review.
Thank you kindly!
I love crkt knives
Cool blade CRKT has there. Interesting design without thumb stud. Thanks for sharing Aaron. Take care my friend. 🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
the price is surprisingly low for a 4-inch slab of MagnaCut in such a nice design.
Ya I am impressed for sure
Looks good 👍 ,cool it's made in USA!
Ooooh that FIRE 🔥
Beautiful, but no hand guard.
Its cool and all but id have to kick my own ass if i spent $200+ on a CRKT.
It’s made by hogue
There’s nothing from CRKT except by money on marketing and production. Designed by Onion, made by Hogue… Bench will cost 450 with same materials 😁
7:50 Here for the sound effects.🧐👍
Yes!!
Really like the style of this. Looks like something Doc Holiday would have carried as his gentleman folder. For when his gentleman poker games went sideways.
💯
I love it! But I live in California! That fits the criminal code definition of a gravity knife! Dammit!
Seems there quality control has gotten better saw few reviews where stated uneven grinds but yours looks mint. Need a good outlaw knife 🔪
Ya! I want them to succeed in this area
I saw some people posting these when they first came out, and it seemed like it wasn’t uncommon for the grind to be uneven. So the dagger point was not symmetrical, and it looked awful. Kinda soured me on checking one out myself at the time.

Ya, mine was fine and is from the second batch!
would this be legal in florida? i think its super cool but i dont want any trouble
In-between on the looks of it but it a good size for me great vid bro
Right on! 👍
Beautiful knife!
It’s not too bad for utility obviously wider broader grind are gonna be better, but if you like the styling, I was surprised by the performance.
U clearly have no idea...

Mine loosened up, after several openings. Still love it. I’ll tighten it up.
Made by hogue for crkt…..and you said it after I posted my comment lol 😂 good looking knife
Yep 👍 exactly
California would consider it a gravity knife. I'm getting one
Hahah! Yes get it just to stick it to them
@@gideonstactical owning it's not the bird to them. Carrying it is

Haha also a good way to phrase it!
It’s only sharp on one edge the other side is faux..

Very cool knife
I don’t carry that style of knife. Nothing against it , but if I did I would never get one with a false edge . That would be an automatic no go .
well you can still make the false edge sharp
RED DEAD REDEMPTION RAHHHHHHHH🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Anybody EDCing this in CALI ??? Lmk.. I want one.
It’s cool but too heavy for me
I have one, super nice.
I love it!
$200 it better fkn be...
FIRS…you know what never mind.
😂 u did the right thing

Or the cross bar but I understand what you are saying
California: this fork is a weapon of mass destruction... 🤪 I'm Gavin Nonsense
They need to make a fixed blade version of this.
That would be awesome!
Fixed, 2 more inches and more shaping in the handle
Ive never seen this in stock anyway 🤣
Check the links they were instock yesterday 👍
It hits the marks for knife snobs. I can never justify over 200 for a folder. Magnacut equals 200+ which isn't compelling at all when you can get 3v fixed blades cheaper.

Nice aesthetics, but I will have to pass. I have several other knives that I need to address.
Totally get that
Should be an assited cross bar.
That would be wild!
Lately I click for the pic but seconds after scrolling the comments I disregard the vid. These days I'd rather use my money for..
MAJOR PASS.
Sorry but a oldwest edc knife can’t have modern grip material
🤨 and the magna cut? He aren't even trying to be historically accurate here...
That in an auto would make a great self defense carry. But ya not really a edc work knife
It’s not an auto. It’s a gravity knife.
@dfgerherbduh3102 wow you are really stupid, read my comment again. I didn't say it was an auto, and it's not a gravity knife either,
