Having full quarter inch drive compatibility; therefore, access to a wide variety of bits is a huge plus. There’s pliers as well, but you mentioned that distinction.

I use the smaller (70mm long) M3, which is brilliant. I believe the socket is magnetised (it is on mine) and the M3 has tweezers and a toothpick and really small flat/philips screwdrivers (i.e. electronics components size) as well as regular screwdriver heads. Knife and scissors are CR13 steel, and all the tools lock. It also comes with the bit set. I carry it all the time.
I have been watching you for several years, your videos are so well done and informative. I purchased this tool and have been carrying it every day. The tool set is perfect and the scissors are next level! Only thing I wish it had were larger drivers (Phillips and flat head) Thank you

I'm happy to see that you've started looking at Roxon tools. I've had the S802 Phantom multi-tool & the original S502 Phantasy lock blade pocket knife (original aluminum handle scales instead of plastic) for nearly 2 years now. I'm still very happy with the quality & utility of both. What sold me on both was the blade trader feature of both tools. You can trade out the blades without needing a tool to do the blade switch. Roxon makes 17 replaceable blades for them. The downside is that 2 of the blades are only available on the tool itself. So, in reality, you can only buy 15 blades separately. The pocket knife comes with a drop point blade & multi-tool comes with a Tanto blade. The good news is that all 15 replacement blades are still available in sets of 3 blades for $20 to $25 each set. That's $6.67 to $8.33 per blade, which is a bargain if you want to outfit your tool with what you consider the perfect blade for your personal EDC tool. The bad news is that you don't get to choose which blades are in each set. Another upside is that the S802 Phantom multi-tool comes with the nylon sheath, the 9-piece bit set & replacement wire cutter blades. In my opinion, it's a bargain for the $50 price on Amazon. Which blades do I consider worthless? I'd have to say the steel comb & the box cutter blade. So, basically, there are 15 usable blades available for your personal preferences. (I bought all 15 of the 'sold separately' replacement blades)

I carry a Boker automatic knife I purchased half-price from BladeHQ for $40 and it has a D2 blade...and I absolutely beat on this knife daily. Love it and now I'm going to buy the Roxon tool!
I have the Olight x Roxon version, the OKS2 and I’m just so satisfied! It’s the scissors that did it for me. I use it everyday, it’s so convenient, I love it.
I have a KS2 and a Roxon S802. The S802 has a neat blade-changing system so you can put on a serrated blade, drop-point, clip-point, or utility blade holder that takes standard utility knife blades, which sold me on it. Also a bit driver and bits that work about the same as the KS2 (with more bits). The S802 is about the same size as a Leatherman Wingman or Sidekick.

I've had one for a few months now. Love it. Has a regular rotation now with my SAK Super Tinker, & Leatherman Free T4. Definitely has a place in my daily EDC. Great review. Love watching your videos.
Just got my KS2E today, and I'm with you - I love it! I think D2 steel is highly underutilized for multitool blades, since it's not an expensive premium steel like M390 or Magnacut and offers decent edge retention and slight corrosion resistance (I'll see how it holds up in the summer months in my pockets.)
This looks great. As a traditional tool guy I love D2 steel and scissors actually big enough to work is awesome. I’m ordering one to replace my leatherman sidekick for pocket carry. The leatherman will still have a place in the console of my all purpose go anywhere/everywhere jeep rubicon.
Man, first video I watched of yours...I subscribed immediately. I love multitools as well, but you gave a world of information on EDC ones in a very short time...Very impressive, no stalling or BS....just blasting knowledge.
Thanks, good review and comparison. Very helpful. I have several multitools, and have given a couple away as gifts. My favorite is my Leatherman Sidekick. The least used tool is the pliers. I use the saw and file, and the serrated knife blade more than the pliers. That's just my experience. I'll take a look at the ROXON KS2 ELITE.
Recently got a Leatherman Rebar after lots of research after being a locking folder or small fixed blade and a Victorinox guy for years. Thought maybe I could use a pair of pliers and decided to go for the big name brand, spend the money, and go from there. I love the rebar and it has worked perfectly for me even almost as a single carry item. I have been pairing it with an Izula II for when I feel like the cutting task isn't for the thin blades of the rebar. Now that I have pretty much decided I'll have to start adding more multitools that aren't Victorinox to my collection, I keep seeing Roxon pop up more and more. They really look like a valid contender for a purchase on several of their products. This one being D2 blade is a big plus. On a side note I realized I got swept up in the whole steel nerd stuff again, while I enjoy collecting and trying out the lastest trends, I almost forgot again that most people don't need a $150 plus 64hrc monster performer of a blade. Other than banging the blade into something like when I was scraping moss out of my leaf traps while cleaning my gutters the 420hc has honestly been totally satisfactory. I could have used any other tool and saved the blade but I wanted to see how bad the metal wire traps damaged the blade while scraping and picking stuff out. It really is just fine for a knife. I have used 5cr and below though and at that point it's really not that great, if it's treated and ground well enough though it should be about the same as 440a like rough ryder uses and will be alright for day to day uses. With that side note I think I am going to check out some of these cheaper options for sure.
Great review. I just got the Olight OKS2 for Father's Day. It is the Roxon KS2, but with aluminum scales. Even the pocket clip has the Roxon branding. I love this tool for EDC. If I need pliers, then I grab my Roxon S802 Phantom. These Roxon multi-tools are high value with relatively low cost.
Missing a main argument for the Powerpint too with the magnetic bit setup. Plus the option of adding a mini ratchet with it as well. The pliers and use as a bit tool are the main reasons I love my Powerpint. And Im gonna say over 90% of us carry a folder or fixed as well as far as the knife goes. Or at least a utility knife, like the Workpro. Which is by far the best for the price. So as cool as it is. And it is cool. Its still not gonna replace anything I carry just yet.
I just received mine (KS2E elite) and I am impressed. My only gripes are - Phillips screwdriver needs to be 1 size bigger (#1) and there is no flat head screw driver to turn a decent size screw (1/4" or 5/16" blade would be ideal). The bit driver is also too small but handy for eyeglasses. The star bits could be bigger as well. But I don't need the bit driver because I have a Wiha mini rachet/bit driver kit in my bag. The scissors are just what I was looking for. The D2 knife blade is the perfect compromise, the 3 tool push button release needs to make it into more multi tools. Even the (too small, too thin) saw works well enough. And I really like the very low profile glass be breaker, especially that its a captured ball bearing not a sharp point. Roxon made a really smart tool. I would actually pair this up with the SOG Powerpint for a great mini tool kit.
I have been carrying the power pint as well for about 6 months, i love this little guy, but that point about the sheers really makes me consider the KS2 now as I find myself in need of them over pliers more often. xD
This Roxon multi-tool is an interesting design. Got to love the push for more innovation in this type of tool. I bought the Rocktol 12 in 1 after seeing your review and have used it for all sorts of stuff the past two weeks. Love it, the only thing it's missing are needle nose pliers. At twenty bucks a piece, I'm thinking this is going to be this year's Christmas gift to friends and family. Thanks for another eye opening review.
Cool piece of kit. I run the Leatherman Free P4 in my EDC. It's more expensive, but it's about the same footprint in size. I never liked my Armbar (ver 1), so I upgraded to the P4. It's worth a look if you haven't checked it out before. Good vid. Thanks.
Roxon ROCKS! HA, HA! My KS2E was delivered on the same day as your KS2E review vid! It's my first Roxon product, and I am blown away with the quality, functionality and value of this smaller pocket multitool. I was looking at buying another SAK, but I wanted more edge retention from a multitool blade, and all the online kudos for the KS2E and the Roxon brand, just made it easy to try something new - I'm not disappointed at all! Great form factor and feel imo, love the grippy G-10, and you're right Aaron, the scissors are awesome and I'm definitely a fan of D2 blade steel compared to the low edge retention steels by the competition. I agree, the pocket clip is limited - it seems more like a shirt pocket clip, rather than for pants pockets??? No discomfort in the hands from the clip, though.... The bit extension is magnetic, but the contact point of the Phillips head, makes the magnetic retention weak, but it doesn't fall off easily - time will tell. The KS2E will definitely get some good (shirt) pocket time. Great review and keep up the fine work!
After using this for a couple of months the only thing I can knock it for is that the tools can sometimes be finicky to deploy. As a result, not my favorite in a pocket or on the belt for a primary multi tool. So, I built an EDC toolkit around this and a 711L mini ratchet in a Maxpedition mini. Very happy with it in that capacity.
I bought the ks2 elite. Love it. Use it all the time for work around the house. But for me, it will not replace my Victorinox ranger as my edc but it’s a great tool that I use and love.
I wish they had a version of the Roxon that had pliers. I don’t use scissors nearly as much as I need pliers. Especially considering I would also have a knife right there.
Roxon makes the best scissors in the multi tool game. Best part is they use them on a lot of different models. And theyvtrend toward 1/4" drivers which make them a lotvmore durability
Great review, Id like to try one out.. I've always been a huge fan of Leatherman but they are getting ridiculous on pricing. I like to see new innovative products & a more competitive market. Thanks A.
Convinced me. I love my Powerpint but the scissors do leave a bit to be desired. I keep a Leatherman ARC around most of the time too. This will be a nice addition to my bag. Ordered direct from Roxon.
This looks very interesting. I may have to pick one up. Would be a great tool for my job. Also, it looks like they also have a more traditional multitool that also has a D2 blade for just 5 bucks more.
pre-Covid when I was the office First Aider, I got a Nextool flagship pro, for the large shears. The scissors on this multitool look pretty usable, and being oblong and flat it doesn't look aggressive and wouldn't be out of place in an office environment.
One of the things that is hard to test for, and where the SAK has a big advantage, is the learning curve and the muscle retention of the tool itself. I can use my SAK safely, even blind drunk or half asleep. My muscles know the tool and I don't have to think about how to use it, I just *know* on a subconscious level, intuitively. I have a few pocket knives like that, too, that I just *know* without having to think about them. Not all tools will form muscle memory like that, not smoothly, not well, and some just fit that better than others. Partly it's familiarity, but not all designs age well. You can't really talk about that until you've had one for years. Everyone knows the reliability and limits of the SAKs. It's a crap shoot with other options, and not an aspect many people cover.
These other newer tools are cool, but I'm going to stick with my Victorinox. It's just classic all the way around. I personally don't care that much about single hand deployment. The blade steel is great for EDC and sharpens up nicely. The whole thing is smooth, familiar, and comfortable to use. If I need a bigger blade or better steel, I have my Benchmade with me.
@@ironman2326 Yeah, my feelings exactly. I have a couple of multitools I sometimes carry as well, which I rotate through, mostly for the pliers and shears, but with bit kits, too (but I use the bits with my SAK most times). And I also usually carry an Addamas with me.
I love everything about mine except the pocket clip. It's very stiff and hard to get latched onto certain pocket edges. Maybe it should be thicker steel with more of an entry bend?
I love the G10 panels, build quality and reserved styling of the Roxon Elite. 😍 Perfectly stylish to put on the table while out for dinner with family or at a fancy wedding. People would have no idea you were carrying a knife, saw, big scissors, bottle opener or a screwdriver until the need arises.
I just ordered the Italian Fox Vulpis with M390 steel with Titanium scales.. it's a little smaller but I think good steels are finally making it into the "SAK" market.
Thank you for an informative video. Love your video editing, etc. Not sure if this will replace my SAK explorer or the power pint. The deployment of the 3d Phillips head and the flat bit is super fast on the SAK. I work in electronics and use the mag. Glass to look at tiny labels on components. The PP won me over when I had to replace a circuit breaker on the 4th floor using the tiny flat head screwdriver. Like others have set, a bunch of us carry a “main Primary” folding knife for most cutting duties so in some ways “nullify” the knife of the Rox.
Roxon stays shutting it down. I’ve been carrying a Phantom for a while and I’m looking to get the little G10 handle/scissors combo for the myriad of blades they offer. They are exceptional.
Great video. I really enjoy the way you go about giving your open and honest opinion. I was wondering, do you think it would be possible to epoxy a small .125" x .125" round neodymium magnet inside that extension, so it doesn't fall off? Those little magnets are only $0.90 each and have 12 ounces of magnetic pulling force to them. Keep up the great work.
The $10 Maerd P6 P11 bit kit on Bezos has a 1/4" bit adapter that fits on the KS2E Phillips. That adapter has a good magnet. It also works great with the Steinwhale Stubby 1/4" double sided bit set.
G'day Aaron, I like that its a bit of a departure from the usual form factor and with good deployment features. Mind you, it's still very small. Locking tools a big +, and tweezers I often use, though the non magnetic driver would probably annoy me to the point of throwing it as far away as possible ; ) Cheers Duke.
Victorinox SuperTinker maybe a Vic Mechanic at most is all I need for a pocket multitool. I might need a bigger knife, but I never need more tools than those unless I need a whole toolbox.
Roxon taking the feedback, listening to customers, running with the feedback to make improvements and BOOM! 💥 Blowing the competition out of the water! Hopefully Roxon will sell or make a model with a better and deeper pocket clip. Maybe they could it sell it separately?
You’ve started something. A week ago you panned the Civivi utility for its poor blade mount and retention. Looking at the Roxon page I find the S502U, a simple $24 knife with replaceable blades. Further down is a $20 blade set that includes a utility blade mount. Combined $44 that should function better than the $43 Civivi and includes a Warncliffe blade in 8Cr13. I do have some concerns about that 25 year warranty. First it’s “offered” never says it’s included. Second warning is the Specifications picture that has WARRANTY 10 years printed on it. Probably worth the gamble anyway.
It's even better than that if you just want the utility blade that by itself is available for $10 so that would be $34 but there is an option to bundle the knife with the utility blade for just $30 and you still get the normal blade that comes with the knife
Really like your videos and the KS2 Elite is fantastic and has never left my pocket unless I need the 1/4 inch driver on the Rocktool. So glad you tried it out and Roxon has some really neat models to look at.
Yeah, I'm partial to the Victorinox Handyman. The softer blade steel doesn't bother me, it's an EDC just in case item, so no big deal. If I was going to be cutting stuff all day long, then it wouldn't matter what the steel was, I would either have a dedicated knife for that or a utility knife of some sort. The Handyman has pliers, although small they are very precise. Again, if I was expecting to need pliers, I would have pliers. I don't know why you need the saw to lock, what are you doing with your saw that would allow it to fold? Victorinox scissors are quite adequate. I actually like having the toothpick. As far as an EDC multitool, the SOG PowerAccess or the Victorinox Swisstool w/bit kit. For a smaller tool, I still carry the Leatherman something or other, a discontinued tool I have carried for many years that rides on my keychain next to my Vic Classic SD. The lettering is gone but the utility is not. Can't even remember what it's called.
I just love my gayle bradley 2 too much to carry a regular multi tool. It's not even the perfect knife. I hate the handle and the lock, but the blade feels like an indestructible laser beam. I have way more expensive and fancy knives but I keep coming back to that one. I keep buying multi tools though hoping I find one that I like lol
Even thin pliers, basically the scissors without being ground down, sort of like SAK pliers, might be useful with no changes to the tool. I mean why not offer two models. Sure they wouldn't be heavy duty pliers but you don't always need heavy duty pliers. Slim needle nose pliers have their place.
Do you think there is room in there somewhere to add a toothpick? I'd be interested in hearing if you think there might be scope for other modifications and/or additions too 👍
Makes you wonder why they put that tiny ruler on one of the tools rather than just along the main body itself. Also you could magnetize that bit to help.
Nope, bought this with my own money, and the affiliate links are just a small percentage that I and all content creators make if someone decides to pick one up.
Well done Aaron. Another good review. Dont think I have much use for anything but full tang fixed blades tho. Just the way I use my knife. But you always do great reviews. I've purchased many knives based on your reviews, ESSE's, and Bradfords to name a few. God bless you and your family.

Roxon has definately been my surprise multitool company. Roxon spark became my go-to because it feels so good to hold.
Man, first video I watched of yours...I subscribed immediately. I love multitools as well, but you gave a world of information on EDC ones in a very short time...Very impressive, no stalling or BS....just blasting knowledge.
Thanks for the sub! And welcome to the crew!
I have been carrying the power pint as well for about 6 months, i love this little guy, but that point about the sheers really makes me consider the KS2 now as I find myself in need of them over pliers more often. xD
I’ve been running the Leatherman FREE T4 for about a year now and I like it but I’m not in love with it. I will definitely be getting one of these.
Really appreciate it
You must have convinced a lot of people. The Roxon store is all out of them.
Ya pretty crazy
The cutters also have hidden mini tweezers in the handle as well!
Have you tried the Kershaw Selectfire. It is my favorite EDC knife so far in the below $40 range
Especially considering I would also have a knife right there.
s803 flash elite has nearly the same tools but is bigger
Ya got me with the scissors. Big enough for my big hands. Everything locks. I'll be getting two. Thanks.
Thanks A.
Totally agree 👍
Convinced me. I love my Powerpint but the scissors do leave a bit to be desired. I keep a Leatherman ARC around most of the time too. This will be a nice addition to my bag. Ordered direct from Roxon.
This looks very interesting. I may have to pick one up. Would be a great tool for my job.
Also, it looks like they also have a more traditional multitool that also has a D2 blade for just 5 bucks more.
Ya! I am going to give those a try as well
pre-Covid when I was the office First Aider, I got a Nextool flagship pro, for the large shears.
@@willcool713 I love my Mini Adamas too!😄
And now they are releasing the Flex model, which makes it fully modular between their multittool pliers as well.
I am the same, it’s nice to have the blade but not necessarily for my edc rotation.
Here’s a question to all the knife reviewers “How much caffeine are you guys on before recording one of you videos?” Or is it caffeine you are on?
Gallons haha
@@gideonstacticalnoice 👍🏻😀me too. Just finished a cup it’s 10:56 pm here 😂defo love ☕️
I think that would be doable
Roxon really nailed it with this one 🤩🤩 innovative brand and incredible value 🙌
G'day Aaron, I like that its a bit of a departure from the usual form factor and with good deployment features. Mind you, it's still very small.
Locking tools a big +, and tweezers I often use, though the non magnetic driver would probably annoy me to the point of throwing it as far away as possible ; ) Cheers Duke.
Add cobra mini from knipex and you have nice additional pliers. I have roxon m2 and those scissors are the best design
Have you had a chance to look at the Harbor Freight multi tool for 40 bucks!? Yes it’s a copycat of the Leatherman surge … but it’s 40 bucks !
Victorinox SuperTinker maybe a Vic Mechanic at most is all I need for a pocket multitool. I might need a bigger knife, but I never need more tools than those unless I need a whole toolbox.
I’m watching this on the toilet, thanks 🙏
Glad to make your crapping experience more enjoyable!
Thank you for this, Aaron. I'm definitely getting my hands on one (or more) of these!
Hope you enjoy it!
If the scissors were pliers, this would be an instant buy for me, for work use. The interchangeable bit set is something I've been looking for.
Ya hope they do that at some point
It's even better than that if you just want the utility blade that by itself is available for $10 so that would be $34 but there is an option to bundle the knife with the utility blade for just $30 and you still get the normal blade that comes with the knife
the Roxon M2 minis is by far the best multitool you will ever spend 30$ on. has all this (-the d2 blade) and more and is just an EDC guys wet dream
Looks like the perfect pocket multitool for me.
Much smaller and lighter than the examples that have pliers.
It seems the Elite/D2 version isn’t available on Amazon.
Yeah, apparently they sold out probably because of the video. Hopefully they’ll be back in stock soon.
@@gideonstactical AliExpress has ‘em 👍
I've filed back the G10 handles so that the saw and knife are easier to deploy and close
That would be a good move
I like it. For my needs, I would rather a hack saw blade than the saw it has. Nonetheless im gonna grab one. Good review.
Not seeing the KS2E D2 model on Amazon. Did it sell out?
Yes! 👍 Hope they restock soon.
I have a PP and you do not have to open them up to open the knife. I use it daily and it opens quickly with the rest closed.
Really like your videos and the KS2 Elite is fantastic and has never left my pocket unless I need the 1/4 inch driver on the Rocktool. So glad you tried it out and Roxon has some really neat models to look at.
You had me at “D2!” My favorite knives i own have D2 blades. Okay I will subscribe.
Welcome to the GT crew
Purchased the Roxon Spark on a whim to try it out a couple yrs ago. It turned out to be the one I grab most.
The power pint would be perfect. I love it but I’d rather have a saw than a serrated blade
Got mine the other day. Love it.
You forgot to mention you can swap out the blade . . . for a comb
Perfect for groomin' my groin!
Leatherman ARC with some scales or skins is 10/10 Magnacut blade and everything
I just love my gayle bradley 2 too much to carry a regular multi tool. It's not even the perfect knife. I hate the handle and the lock, but the blade feels like an indestructible laser beam. I have way more expensive and fancy knives but I keep coming back to that one. I keep buying multi tools though hoping I find one that I like lol
Aaron your costing me a fortune.. I purchased the Rocktol and I have to say is awesome. But I jumped on the KS2 elite.
Sweet, glad you like the rocktol
Are these scissors better all around than the Victorinox scissors?
I think so compared to most models
You have successfully gotten these sold out on Amazon 😅
Haha!! 😆
Can’t find them over here yet :/
I’ve seen a few of these cheap multipurpose shovels pop up.
Are they any good?
Even thin pliers, basically the scissors without being ground down, sort of like SAK pliers, might be useful with no changes to the tool.
I mean why not offer two models.
Sure they wouldn't be heavy duty pliers but you don't always need heavy duty pliers. Slim needle nose pliers have their place.
What is the best large scissor multi tool?
I linked to Amazon for the Elite and don’t see that it includes the bit set. True? Thanks!
They were sold out because of the video.
thanks for showing I would like to get it, but the link you showed doesnt come with the bit kit
You could magnetize the bit driver (Phillips tool) yourself with a strong magnet, swiping the magnet from base to tip repeatedly.
Have you been sent these for free/paid for the review as well as placing Amazon links in description?
Nope, bought this with my own money, and the affiliate links are just a small percentage that I and all content creators make if someone decides to pick one up.
Well done Aaron. Another good review. Dont think I have much use for anything but full tang fixed blades tho. Just the way I use my knife. But you always do great reviews. I've purchased many knives based on your reviews, ESSE's, and Bradfords to name a few. God bless you and your family.
You already got me looking at one of these now. 😊
You should!
A pliers changes the game once you get older and have arthritis. A Scissors and bit drivers also are so needed on the go for me.
With Harbor Freight dropping the $40 Gordon, Leatherman Wave clone... probably gonna have to go with it for the money ( lifetime warranty, *if purchased online). Cool tool though ! 👍
