Johnny: I just discovered your channel as I am thinking about getting the new Mac Studio and I want a good display. This Mac Studio would be primarily for music production using Logic Pro. I currently have an old iMac 27 that I can no longer upgrade, so it appears I will be forced to buy a Mac Studio. Would you know if the Dell 38 would work well with the Mac Studio? Is there anything I should know before buying one? Thanks for posting your video and I look forward to learning more from your channel. Cheers.

@@justawaste I got the Dell U3821 (they upgraded the U3818) for around $1,175 directly from Dell. I called a friend who actually writes articles for computer magazines and is an Apple expert, and he told me that would be the best way to go. The Dell have a better power supply and much better support and quality than the LG, which really surprised me. I ordered it on a Wednesday and had it delivered to my house two days later. It is really quite an awesome monitor. I think you will be pleased if you get it; I certainly was. Now, I just have to wait until June 23-30 to get the Mac Studio that I ordered (do NOT believe the Apple website if it tells you that you can get the Mac Studio within a week. It is a total lie. The Mac Studios come from China and there are big Supply Chain problems). Good luck with your decision. Cheers.

I used to own a retail computer shop every time we had to do a warranty, LG fucked us round on every return it annoyed me so much I no longer sold them and to this day I won't buy an LG monitor or tv, i went to buy a 75 inch tv for my bedroom, the reseller blew that much air up my arse i got into an argument with him as he had no clue about the technologies and warranty problems and build quality, I shot him down and turned around and went to another company and purchased a different brand and never had a problem I've had it 5 years now, I wouldn't buy an LG anything if it was the only brand on the planet only 1 other product with worse warranty was Asus but won't get in to that at another time.

For me 34" is the sweet spot in terms of physical screen size. That's pretty much the furthest I can look at the edge of the screen without turning my head.
At 1440p, the pixel density of the 34" is pretty much the same as the 38" at 1600p anyway.

@@zaaap0 There's not that big difference that I would ever care about. I went through this nonsense already back in 2012, buying 120hz monitor as I bought in the hype, and was greatly disappointed... Turned out I much preferred quality 60hz IPS panel instead (back then TN was the only thing that did 120hz, and better quality IPS monitors were limited to 60hz). I currently have 144hz ultrawide and I honestly don't care whatsoever whether its on 144hz or 60hz. Not to mention 60hz monitors generally consume less power, so there's that too.
