Nice review for IMT and all possible doubts are very well explained . Slight correction that there are absolutely no jerks felt in the DCT version of Hyundai Venue .

This technolgy is so good for someone who is a 'manual head' but due to age, knees going out of warranty, traffic etc have to opt for automatic. I for one drive an automatic for daily journey but crave badly for manual on weekend trips outside city. If finances permitted I would keep an automatic for city and manual for highways. But guess imt is best of both worlds!

For a car without hill hold.
Can you apply a bit of acceleration while holding the brake and then release brake to avoid roll back?
Something like a heel toe method in manual.
Or is handbrake necessary?

11:02 koi jaankr nhi chalata half clutch pe majboori hoti hai kyuki jb speed first gear ki creep speed se bhi kum ho tb half clutch pe chalana majboori hai...Half clutch ka issue toh ayega hi chahe kuch bhi hojaye....kyuki jb bumper to bumper traffic mae speed 8kmph se kum hogi let's say 3-4kmph tb clutch first gear mae fully realsed nhi rehpayga us wajh se half clutch pe chalne ki wajh se clutch burn hoga hi hoga....imt mae bhi...aisi hi dual clutch overheat hojate hai traffic mae uski wajh bhi yahi hai....jitna traffic mae chalaoge utna jldi clutch burn hoga

iMT or Clutchless Manual Transmission (CMT) makes best sence for Cars above 7.5-8 Lac Ex-showroom like Sub-Compact SUVs , Sub-Compact Sedans , Premium Hatchbacks for e.g. Altroz didn't get an AMT bcoz Tata Motors thaught AMT doesn't suit the Premium Appeal of Altroz, so CMT in Altroz would have been Perfect VFM solution in XT & XZ trims.

Only one question, in a flooded road when water is at waist length then how to drive thorough in 2nd gear ( half clutch), since IMTs don't have manual clutch, anybody can answer

Why I am asking this is like in ertiga xl6 there is hybrid battery below the passenger side seat, this if fails in warranty period will cost you NIL, but out of warranty it cost @47000 approx. And thats not peanuts.

Can you tell, sometimes on steep slopes after engaging the 1st gear you have to rev hard for the car to pick up, is iMT able to do that? In words of drag racers, can you launch an iMT? or the car will always take control of the rev, depending on flat surface/incline.

Hi,
I have purchased KIA Seltos HTK IMT Diesel, it was delivered 3 weeks back.
Existing IMT Users, Anyone faced issues with creep/crawl functionality in first gear in IMT gearbox,
when I am stuck at traffic signals, and roads has small slopes like 5 degrees or 10 degrees, then in first gear, the creep/crawl functionality does not work as expected, my car rolls backwards slightly and I have to manually press accelerator ASAP to avoid further rollback. On fully plain road, creep/crawl in first gear works without rollback, but feels underpowered. But if there is very very small slope like 5 to 10 degrees , crawl does not work as expected.
Same thing happens for reverse gear, if there is 5-10 degrees slope, car moves forward, and i have to press accelerator ASAP to avoid movement ahead.
FYI , in my opinion this is not Hill assist issue, hill assist feature working fine on steep slopes in hilly roads, mall ramps. The car holds for 2-3 seconds and enough time to move ahead without rollback.
