Not really ironic. He was self-aware enough to realize back then that he was probably a huge mess or still had so many things to work on, that if there was anyone who would suffer or bear the brunt of his "irresponsibility," it would be him and him alone, no one else.
The artist on the bench was responsible concerning becoming a parent and unselfish because, as he said, he knew he could wreck children’s lives . . . So many people think they can fill an empty heart by having children, then their children grow up without love. If one becomes a parent because of an abundance of love as those born from a man and a woman in love, they can also go on to find love. I really like this man’s lack of bitterness and awareness of his Grandmother’s wisdom and love. I hope young people will watch this and learn from it, rather than have his regrets in their 50s. 1John chapter 4 is a very clear description of what love is and where to find it. Find it while you’re young. God is love. Seek him early Read your Bible. Don’t wait and have regrets. “Dear Friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves, has been born of God, whoever does not love, does not know God because God is love. “ The best part of this chapter is John the Baptist’s next statement! Hurry go find a Bible and find the key to a love-filled life ❤
I love how the advice is so varied and contradictory from person to person. One person says don't focus on money, the next says money is important. Goes to show how there's no clear path, you have to find your own happiness based on your own circumstances!
Tristan, I honestly think this is the best vlog you have made. So far superior to the fashion videos. This is meaningful and interesting material. Well done.
As a private duty nurse for the elderly I thoroughly enjoyed this. We can learn SO MUCH from our elder’s. Treat them with love , respect, & dignity and always help when help is needed. Many of them are lonely and just want to be acknowledged & listened to and you did that in this video. ❤
This was really a goodie! I kept looking at one of the guys interviewed thinking he looked so familiar. Finally realized that he was my history professor from Columbia back in the '80s!
I’m 55, my spouse is 59…First, as for relationships, listen, love, and be 100% honest with each other, and NEVER go to bed angry…fighting (within reason) is a healthy way to express your differences, but never let it get in the way of the love you share (we’ll be married 36 years this December…yeah, we started very early). Secondly, in life?…..Learn how to say no to people who want to take advantage of you, because the truth is, if somebody truly loves you, they won’t take advantage of you. Those who want to use you don’t care about you, only about what they can get from you. I learned that the hard way!….and learn how to say yes to your own desires, and happiness, otherwise you’ll end up angry, bitter, and filled with regrets. Don’t allow others to dictate who and what you want to be, and listen to your instincts!
You know what I appreciate most - the fact that these people take time out of their days to enlighten us all on how to hopefully live a more fulfilling life through their past experiences.
I love the honesty and candidness of these people! Older people have a lot of wisdom to share with younger people, so I’m glad this interview was conducted! Thank you to the interviewer and everyone who participated!
Excellent advice from senior people the man who said get a dog have a god sense of humour gave the best advice For younger and older people now im 72 when people ask would you ever get married again i say no id get another Dog i have a brother whos favorite words are I Do hes been Married 4 times 😊😊😊😊
I am now 76, so maybe almost qualify :)> Roads not taken, chances missed. Never being able to find a woman to love and having a family with. My Mom dying when I was seven years old and my Dad's poor choice in finding me a mentally ill stepmother who seriously abused me for several years. Taking 30 years to get over a speach inpediment my stepmother caused. In adult life, choosing the wrong friend who stole over a decade of time and money from me. I regret the evil government people who stole everything I owned about age fifty. Leaving my home region in New England to work the rest of my life all the way across the country in San Diego, abandoning extended family. I had to go where the job was. The only bright thing in my life is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ I found in my late 20's. As in the poem "footsteps," he has walked beside me for almost 50 years and has carried me through tough times. Maranatha, Lewis
“Oh how sweet it is to be given a love without end. Just to know and live in Your goodness Jesus, my savior and friend”. Soon we will inherit our eternal family Lewis, ❤
Tristan, I've been watching you from your beginning and I'm old enough to be your mom. This is my favorite video you've made. And I LOVE clothes, so that's saying a lot, lol. I'm so proud of you for trying new things and for sticking with your RUclips goal! You are very special! Keep going!!!!!
Im 57 and my advice is do that scary shit , take huuuuuge risks , fuck everything, tell the truth always. Fucking buy it never say "oh can i afford that"
I just stumbled onto your video channel this morning and I just loved this one! Thank you for creating these, I've subscribed! Love the sweater logo, btw!
in my Mid-40's now and just came to the realization that it's OK to have regrets. In fact, it's actually a really GOOD thing to be able to reflect upon them. At the same time you've recognized them, you shouldn't dwell on them. Your path must aim forward. 'Water under the bridge' is a great cliche'
Def see a different side and perspective of your vision I think. Shows growth and maturity while always keeping it fresh for those of us in your audience. Thanks and good luck
Nearly 30, don't know what the hell is happening.. lost interest in pretty much everything.. never been in a relationship,to be honest never want to be.. scared to death because of all the things happening in this mean materialistic world, always loved privacy now i believe why that's best thing that ever happened, keeping things to myself-minding my own business, being misunderstood for fiesty and rambunctious to someone quiet reserved, yeah life happens in a pretty unpredictable pace and ways
TRISTAN! What an amazing episode, ALL Inclusive! NO AGE limit is the way to go, I just knew the guy with the red bandana smoked weed, he's just so chill.....Aging is definitely not for Sissies your body slows down and your mind speeds up......The thing is to have no regrets...🤗🌹
70 worked hard doing what God asks us to do, relaxed now Not afraid about any thing, enjoy life , appreciate God s creations Live as simple as i can Nnot afriad from death but scared from sickness
I am now on my early 60s, married for 17 years. We knew we never wanted kids, and do not regret it in the slightest. Many would take exception to this sentiment, but I am sure I would hate it.
Unsolicited advice: really enjoyed all the sincerity in the interviews as well as all the "characters." But what makes your fashion vlogs stand out from the rest is your personality and the banter you have with your audience as well as the people you interview. I'd like to see a little more of that in your new stuff. End of unsolicited advice.
My biggest regret is not eating more when I was younger. I used to be able to eat 100 chicken wings. A whole large pizza. A bucket of chicken. Now, two plates of food. And I’m full.
Wow! A young person actually listening to older people. I never thought I would see the day, especially when older people are cast aside like useless waste by the youth of today. One thing older people require from the young is respect. A huge part of Japanese culture.
Great interviews! You are an excellent news host. Try doing a talk show like red table (off air) or like a morning talk show or late night etc… you know what to do…
I'm 54. Choosing God has been the best decision of my life. I agree. Follow your passion, no matter what, but be practical about necessities. I agree. Get married, have children. Marry later, if necessary, but stay married. Laugh. Not everything's about money! or surviving. Don't trade your life for food on the table. God will provide with your faith. Be a waiter and do what you want as a career, like the artist. Listen to God in your career and everything. Eye-opening interview!
Financial: Have no debt, live below your means, save/invest for years. Move from saving to spending. Social: Attend all Reunions, invite neighbors over, and church friends are the best. Family: Children/grands are a blessing. Plan big activities with them. Physical: Get activity every day. Don’t overeat (brush teeth right after eating). A dog helps. Mental: Keep reading/learning. EG: Hillsdale College has excellent free short classes on line.
I think the BIGGEST point is, $ counts in older ages. One side is a safe home to live in. The other… the worst of places to live in. And eating crap food.
The key to a good marriage: not thinking the grass is greener.
So real 😭❤️❤️
My ex is experiencing that now. I stayed alone.
"Have a good scream sit down and have dinner" 😂
The guy that said he was irresponsible made a very responsible decision by recognising he wasn't mature enough to have kids. Ironic.
yeah btw. nice catch.
yes! Good for him for being honest with himself.
Not really ironic.
He was self-aware enough to realize back then that he was probably a huge mess or still had so many things to work on, that if there was anyone who would suffer or bear the brunt of his "irresponsibility," it would be him and him alone, no one else.

I agree
God is becoming more and more important to me. I'm a non-traditional missionary!

Have a good scream, sit down and have dinner😂😂😂. Love it!
I won't be able to sit down and have dinner if I got screamed at, but whatever worked for him LOL

I'm 72, moved out of the toxic U.S. 12yrs ago, in great health, no pills, couldn't be happier! And no, I'm not rich!
That's great! Health is real wealth.

Thailand or Philippines
