Wait until you need tech support. It's all online! You just have to hope they have your issue listed. Probably NOT!
We have had our LR3 for 1.5 years now and after 6-8 months we've had nothing but issues. It is a good concept, but there are a lot of bugs to be worked out. They did send us a new motor but this one has issues, too. The company seems like they want to help me, but now they send me videos and question me how I am using it! This is A LOT for something that isn't working properly after only 8 months.

Im so upset with them all they want to do is keep sending links even though i have tried everything they asked and my cat is still with no cat litter. I would have never gotten this thing if i knew it would have this many issues its crazy its not like they are $100 😢

The Litter-Robot 3 Open Air is the same as the Litter-Robot 3. We just shortened the name a little bit. 😊 The Litter-Robot 3 comes in two different models - one with WiFi capabilities and one without. The Litter-Robot 3 Connect is the model depicted in this video. It is WiFi compatible and can be used with our AutoPets Connect App.
I love my Litter-Robot so much I just ordered two more ❤️

Just got mine a few days ago. What are the "cycle" and "empty" buttons for? What does it mean that the blue is on, vs. blinking?
Hi there! The "Cycle" button allows you to start a cleaning cycle manually at any time. A timer will count down once your cat exits and a cleaning cycle will automatically begin, but if you need to start a cycle at any other time, the "Cycle" button is there! For Connect models, the Whisker App also has a "Start Cycle" option.
The "Empty" button is mainly used when you are ready to deep clean your Litter-Robot (we suggest deep cleaning every few months at least!) or when you want to completely change out the litter. When you press "Empty," all of the litter in the globe will cycle into the waste drawer below.
The blue light on means that the Litter-Robot is ready for use! It means it is not currently cycling or counting down a timer. A blinking blue light indicates that the waste drawer is full and needs to be emptied. I hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any other questions at 877-250-7729.
Hey what is the best litter to use to keep the poo off of the sides? (On the inside)
We tend to find the best results from an unscented, standard-weight clay clumping litter, such as Litterbox.com. 😺
This was one of (many) issues I have as well. The company suggested I buy a product called Litter Care. It is a non-stick spray coating. It works pretty well. However my cat uses the same spot to pee and no matter how much I spray it still sticks.
Litter-Robot I have a question regarding what clumping cat litter is compatible with the Litter Robot would Purina Tidy Cats Multi Cat Clumping Litter be compatible with the Litter Robot ?
The Litter-Robot works well with most clumping or scoopable litters. Litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen will also work. We tend to find the best results from an unscented, standard-weight clay clumping litter.
Does it work work with clumping woods grains?
Plant-based litters tend to form looser clumps than alternatives. This can cause condensation in the waste drawer, which causes more odor and corrosion of nearby components. If you use a plant-based litter, we recommend changing the bag and cleaning more frequently.
Do you have to set it up to cycle? Mine will not cycle until I press the cycle button. So I come home from work, it's full of poo, so I hit cycle. Seems to defeat the purpose.

Is the PetSafe Crystal litter something that will work with LR?

Just arrived and now not sure if I can use Naturally Fresh Walnut Shell Cat Litter-It is hard clumping?
Hi Trudy! We tend to find the best results from an unscented, standard-weight clay clumping litter. However, Litter beads and crystals that are small enough to pass through the screen will also work.
Just got ours. No instructions included. There is a big blue light on the roof that is constantly on. Any way to turn it off?

Is this litter robot will work large cats like Maine Coon?
Hi there! Litter-Robot has no upper weight limit. It can depend on the cat, but there are many 25+ lb cats using the Litter-Robot 3 and 4 comfortably.
Nothing here about the odor absorption bead packs (which were included) or the carbon filter (which instructions say was included but was not).

My house is all carpet .will it work on carpet or will i need hard flooring
We suggest avoiding soft, uneven, or unstable flooring. This can affect the way the sensors work on your unit. Some customers in the past have used low-pile rugs in carpeted houses or a flat surface like a sheet of cardboard.

You guys have a really customer service. It has been a month that my machine has stopped working. I tried calling, phone support is unavailable until further noticed. I opened 3 tickets, never responded back. This unit was very expensive, I expected someone to help assist resolve my issue versus than videos.
And yes, I tried all videos and the unit is still not working.

I am desperate! I have problems with the blue light flashing, tried everything I could. The first couple of times it helped, no it does work. The website doe’s make easier to contact support, you feel alone and betrayed. I have an old model working properly, the LR 3 is an improved version which is not working properly. Can anybody help me? I tried to clean the sensor, and I also cleaned the metal things which tend to get dirty. Nothing helped.

My problem is during the first cycle it dumps all the litter into the litter bin below.

Congratulations on a lifetime of idling blue blinking dots that never cycle properly. I’m leaving on a trip tomorrow and my pregnant friend is going to be feeding and taking care of my cats. It’s important she doesn’t touch or deal with cat litter. Every time I am out of town, the LR3 never works. I would like my expensive cat litter box to work, especially since it’s only under warranty until January of next year 😢

My daughter just bought a used one of market place and can't setup an account. It say failed to register. The serial number and name are invalid or currently in use. The previous owner is in Thailand and can't be reached. Customer service was no help at all she was so excited to get this unit and now she is very disappointed. Buyer beware.

Does it work with prettylitter?
We recommend using a standard weight clay clumping litter for the best results. Pretty Litter will work but may require a longer cycle timer or more deep cleans. Feel free to send us a DM for more info!

Non stop issues with this robot. Now the yellow light won’t stop blinking no matter what I do.
So my machine has been giving me many problems... Sometimes like today it is flashing yellow/red cycling/timing and there is no litter for cats, the square hole is there pretty messed up for the cats looking for their toilet. This is so frustrating, that I cant go to work and expect the bot to have litter but a hole going right into the poop drawer! This thing costs a lot for that!

Would this work if your cat has thick liquid poop every time?
Hi Don! As always, we recommend using a high-quality clay clumping litter-especially if your cat is prone to diarrhea. You can also increase the amount of time (from 7 minutes to 15) between when your cat uses the Litter-Robot and a cleaning cycle begins. That usually does the trick!

Tbh I was hoping it was unassembled. It's just SLIGHTLY too wide to go through the door to the cat room (walk in closet catified which is why it has the smaller door)
Is it still too wide of you take the bonnet off and remove the globe? And then just reassemble once in the room?
I have watched videos, chatted with supposedly live actual human beings, and waited forever for someone on the phone. Until this point I have not received any help with my particular problem. Let's just say I am not happy.

Not even a year old and it won’t cycle back after dumping waste!!! Flashing yellow and red light, motor cycles for two seconds, stops, then returns to where it messed up . Never buying one again and currently trying to get some kind of warranty replacement

This is a scam. there is no warranty and no technical support. They didn't fix my robot still in warranty
