    I have 3 rescue cats and I found CLUMP AND SEAL to be amazing product. It really makes cleaning the litter box much easier, quicker and helps keep odors low. The downside is that it is one of the most expensive litter materials one can buy per pound....but I have not found a product cheaper that works as well as this Arm and Hammer product personally.

    I have 2 cats. Missy a 2 year old and Greyson a 10+ year old. Greyson came with a Litter Robot. I am so Grateful for this product. At various times in my life I had owned plus 20 cats and sure needed one! I didn't even need instructions to assemble it. It's that easy to figure out!! Thank You for inventing the Litter Bot. Missy is transfized by the thing!!!

    I'm on the cusp of adding one of the Litter Robots. My cats already use two Omega Paws rolling boxes, which are definitely better than scooping all the time, but going to an automated box will be easier for me, and them, I think. I've been automating a lot of my home, lately, and managing switches and lighting have worked so well, I'm looking forward to managing this task, as well.
    For dirty jobs, they make disposable plastic sleeves to keep your arm from contacting the rim of things like the LR3, if you wanted that type of thing.

    • @ExpansiveReviews
      @ExpansiveReviews  2 месяца назад +1

      The omega paws are pretty nifty and don’t break the bank like these little robot but the automation is really convenient. Thanks for the disposable sleeve tip!

    We put a liner in the base. Just a dollar tree liner for cat litter boxes. Then we use the Kirkland transparent bin bags for medium cans and that is enough to catch all the litter and it’s what we replace weekly. There’s never spillage but incase there is, we have the liner in place for protection.

    Thanks for this, I’ve had the original 3 for… it has to be at least 10 years old??? It’s had its issues from time to time but recently something is wrong with it nearly every day and now it won’t even complete a cycle, forever stuck on red. I have to manually spin it back around. I’ve done all the troubleshooting I can that’s fixed it in the past and other online resources suggest it may finally just be dead beyond repair. I hate how expensive the 4 is but considering the one I have lasted a decade… Probably worth the investment. Sigh!! Anyway, appreciate the help in deciding!

    • @ExpansiveReviews
      @ExpansiveReviews  28 дней назад

      Stick with the 3 . I'm in the process of trying to return my liter robot 4 in exchange for a 3. My other litter robot 3 has been flawless.. .. the 4 has major urine issues where the urine gets underneath the globe and into the crevices and totally stinks.. I cannot stand it anymore..... It's just a very terrible design. It's no wonder why they added the splash shield as an afterthought...... But it has been totally ineffective for me. I'm done with this machine.

    Nice review! I’m glad to know about the guard in the front. My guy loves to pee right inside the front of the Bot 3. I had the same problem with the litter Bot 3…finding a clump in the middle of the freshly cycled litter. After my cat would pee (not poop) the bot would cycle, but there would be a clump stuck to the bottom of the liner. As it rotated through the cleaning cycle, the clump of litter would stick to the liner and was now on the “ceiling” of the inside..hanging but not falling off…and the liner would be hanging down too. The clump would then fall onto the newly sifted litter, winding up right in the middle, on top of the freshly cleaned litter bed. I found that decreasing the time setting between the cat exiting and the bot cleaning helped a bit. Less time for the clump to dry and adhere. I have to say that this only started happening after I had my Litter Robot 3 for almost 2 1/2 years. I think, as you may have said, the liner becomes more porous over time, absorbs liquids and stays wet longer…leading to “danglers.” I’ve bought the litter bot 4 and am settling it up now. I was thinking of replacing the old liner in the 3 but that seems like quite a project. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If anyone else has had this problem and replaced a liner, could they please share if it made a difference with the litter sticking? I want to keep both of the litter Bots as I’m going to be getting another cat soon. Ty!

    • @ExpansiveReviews
      @ExpansiveReviews  2 месяца назад +2

      That’s totally what was happening! Thanks for helping me solve that mystery! I haven’t replaced a liner so I don’t know what goes into that but litter robot has a video showing how to do it. It looks like a little bit of work but I think it’s worth it! Good luck, you got this! 🍀

    Once the company changed the app to Whiskers my robot has done nothing but malfunction. Msgs and emails are of no use other than return the base for reconditioning for $180 and if for some reason it’s not repaired they charge a $75 fee to dispose of it. Two years were good then nothing but problems. For this price I would hope to get at least five or six years.

I had to take it off when I was trying to empty the globe because it collected so much. I also had a lot of issues. I returned it, but I’m thinking about purchasing a litter robot 4. I bought a Litter Robot 4 in Sept ‘23, and found it is an amazing product. I did my research in reading reviews, on all makes, pro/cons and found that the litter robot 4 was the best, even though it’s a bit pricey. I just received a second Litter Robot 4 and set it up, and I am very satisfied. I do have an issue with connecting the 2nd to the app, it’s set up, but not finding it. So, I am not able to monitor which cat goes in and out. Anyone have any answers, would be helpful. We love it, I still have two litter boxes in the catio, but it cuts down on daily cat box duty

      I use cheap Amazon 10 gallon bags in two litter robot 4s. They are longer than optimum but easy to install with my method. They easily slip over the back of the drawer and I use 3 bendy foam curlers to secure the bag neatly and securely. Use a 5/8” to wedge the top of drawstring bag into front lip groove of the waste drawer. It’s a nice snug fit. Use 1/2 inch rollovers immediately adjacent to each end of the fatter roller. Form the rollers to fit by folder down an into pseudo question mar shape to match the groove as it travels down, under and up on bottom of waste drawer. Position the bag a bit to have it congorn ti inner surface of the drawer and slide the drawer back in. When full remove the tray and then the curlers and just roll the top to the back of the tray and lift. The litter naturall falls to the bag bottom- I spin the bag and knot it by you can use the drawstring if you prefer. Reinstall the new bag and the rollers ( the small ones will not require much effort now that they in the right shape to fit. Tuck them all snugly and slip the drawer back into your robot 4. Occasionally I notice small perforations from sliding in and out but generally they are of no consequence once you knot the bag ( below where they normally occur).
      Ps I see the name Besli on my bag box but it’s just one of generic Amazon brands They seem to be sturdy enough for this purpose. I have 9 cats, two robot 4s in use a couple of manuals as backups. I also have 4 retired robot 3s sitting in the garage.
      I still have to messy with the robots periodically but infinitely better than the robot 3 -our cats found ways to spray pee through the back-and they had many other major flaws corrected by the 4s. Still require some effort and ingenuity ocasiinally but best system yet and cheap to use after initial expense. I had my own custom insert to use small almost free bags but it was no where near as convenient or quick to maintain the 3s.
