Tip, when testing ammo, you need at least 20 rounds down the bore before shooting a group. If switching types but sticking with the same brand, like Lapua, no need to refoul the bore, but when switching brands, you must shoot at least 20 rounds again before shooting a group. What you are seeing are false results. One brand either shooting worse or better than the brand just before because you still have that other brands lead and lube in the bore. We all did this growing up, but there is more science behind it now.
Thanks for the comment but I've never found this myself, eg. when using lapua ammo and then shooting CCI I found that the first 2 CCI shots are accurate, they like the Lapua Lube, then they start at the 3rd shot to get Inaccurate once the Lapua lube is gone. You can perform your own test then video it for us to show your results. Plus this wasn't really an ammo test but a display of how good this gun can be with the right ammo. I've shot 10's of thousands of rounds through my 22's and I stand with the results of this video
They sure are. Not much will keep up with my MK1 FVT, except for the MKII FVT I traded for the CZ457 American. The MKI FVT cost $199 on clearance. That rifle ran the dreaded easter egg challenge, that some guys were having issues with. The cool thing about those rifles, is they come with Target sights, if you like shooting irons, like we do. Win win...
Would be interesting to see how consistent the X-ACT would be with a larger sample size compared to some “more accurate” rifles with higher price points.
For rimfire I prefer thin crosshairs with a small center dot x50 power, zoomed out to 50 zoom so I can see my heartbeat movement though the scope movement. For rimfire I love my Sightron Siii 10x50. For centerfire I use Delta Stryker 5x50 DLS-3 reticle and Kahles 1050 with MOAK reticle I always buy the .125 moa adjustment scopes
Hello again, just a couple more questions, do you prefer first or second focal plane? And is there a reason why you didn’t choose a fixed power scope? Thanks
@@edwardburrowes4243 Have no preference as I shoot fixed target distances. No Fixed power scopes, for Flexibility when mirage doesn't allow 50X Ive shot 1000 yards on as low as 12x power with bad mirage.
😂😅 Yup! Get your wallet out, brother! I have to do the same for my Budget Ruger 10/22 ... Center-X for me. Did you have it sitting with your precision rifles, and now it thinks it's a CZ? 😂😅 Thanks for sharing!! 👍
Yes 2 shots for each clears the old wax off the inside well enough in my research. I actually have those shots on the sighter target in the video if you watched it. What have you found? As this video is about the rifle more than it is about the ammo I personally found no point in wasting ammo on further seasoning as it really wasnt the reason for the video. Good ammo your gun likes should show you results pretty quickly just like the x act did for this gun.

wow love the test, I have not seen any exact in 3 years.
I've got 2 bricks more but the newer packaging. When my pusher gets some in I jump on it LOL 😎
@@thegunslinger4570 It has not been seen here in the states for a LONG TIME.
Bare bones Mk II's are amazing, too bad there isn't a larger aftermarket for them!
They are incredible for the money.

Of course it's gonna like the most expensive ammo on earth 😂

It does LOL
@thegunslinger4570 😅🤣😂
Same here man! 🤣
Did you season the barrel between ammo?

@ I tend to find best groups when shooting different ammo that it takes 10-15 shots to properly season the barrel, especially with cheaper rifles.
