      I have a Taurus 5 shot .38 snubby with a bobbed hammer basic sights but it puts 5 bullets in the same ragged hole at 10yds.
      I know they have a reputation, but it’s never done me wrong. The only thing is, the short barrel doesn’t allow for enough acceleration to reliably expand. Speer Gold dot performs though.

      @williamhalupka-yl5xv that's what got me into loving the .357 Magnum. Shooting my buddies Colt Python .357. It was his father's service revolver in the late 70's early 80's. Immediately after that camp trip of target shooting, I went to the local gun store to find a Colt Python. Then found out they were really hard to find. So I purchased a Ruger GP100 and 3" SP101 both. 357.

      I never could afford a Python way back when... 30 years later the price was out of hand at like $5k so when I retired my guys gave me a mint 1969 6 inch blue python. To say that they solved the 'what to get the guy..." would be an understatement All I have done to the gun is put a NOS patridge front sight and some nice wood grips that look similar but have some slight finger grooves and fit my hand better.

    10:00 makes perfect sense, that raging judge is chambered to accept a 410 which is much longer than 454. So you have more wasted powder burn escaping while the bullet makes the jump from the cylinder to the forcing cone of the barrel.

      Yes its heavy and I like it heavy , makes 45colt feel like .22
      Unfortunately you can never shoot a 460 without ear pro, the sound is like nothing I've experienced, crazy loud even with double ear protection. The shockwave tapping your nose is nuts too.
      Also ruins shooting plates as it blows holes through it, something to keep in mind at a friend's place using metal targets

    OH WOW!!!! Been a REALLY long time since we saw a Super Red Hawk! last time i remember seeing one was in your archive when you cracked the handle in your Super Red Hawk Alaskan! You said you were gonna get it repaired! but i either missed that video or you never brought it back onto the channel! yuusta bes one of your fave lil handguns. back when you were still shooting rock salt, stretch armstrongs, and Vac-mans on that old plyboard workbench in your back yard... simpler times. I keep saying you needsa get some rock salt blocks.
    I seem tto remember you didnt even have your first safari rifle yet. that we knew of. Arent you curious what all you newer larger calibers would do? i would bet the explosion of powderized salt would be bigger, flashier, and more visible than those colored smoke targets marketed and sold specifically as target for guns with extra flashiness.. though on the flip sie, those lil underperforming smoke targets dont cost 70 to a hundred bucks a pop. they were fifty or sixty when you WERE buying them for the channel.
    EDIT! OOH! OHH! OHH! THERES THE ALSKAN!!!!!

    I have a 38 special snub nose my grandfather gave me from Brazil. I honestly encourage anyone who has a spouse who doesn't have weapon experience and also wants home defense, to get a revolver. ANYONE can fire a revolver. If you can't save yourself in five shots, you might not have a chance.
    Revolvers don't have slides, magazines or complicated parts. Sadly a 4 year old can fire a revolver (so folks, be smart about where you keep it) but ANYONE can utilize a revolver.
    HUGE Fan of revolvers

    • @chrissmalley83
      @chrissmalley83 18 дней назад +4

      You are correct. The first clue that it wasn't a 686 was that it wasn't stainless. S&W model numbering convention is that numbers beginning with 6 are stainless. The second clue was that it holds 8 rounds. The 686 is an L Frame, and the chamber walls would get too thin squeezing 8 rounds into an L Frame cylinder, even with the cylinder being titanium.
      It is certainly a Model 327.
