- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Storm Silver?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

When I played this romhack, what stand out the most to me was the SHEER AMOUNT of Weezings spamming Flamethrower and Thunderbolt.
It’s always a little frustrating when you can see the rom hack creator’s preferences written all over the NPC teams.
What emulator did you use to play this?

I've been really enjoying seeing a bunch of Nuzlockers I love like SilphSpectre, Antlerboy and FlygonHG get into romhacks recently. There's so many good ones out there and even the "bad ones" could still be fun and a great way to prevent the vanilla games from getting too repetitive.
This was my first pokemon romhack EVER! So much nostalgia, and back then, I thought this was the hardest thing I've ever gone through
Same here! I remember losing a lot of pokémon in my first nuzlocke playthrough of this.
Then the rain team veteran at the end of Blazeblack2 Victory Road actually wiped me after I beat SS lmao.

33:55 it’s actually probably a reference to Tentacruel’s main set in Gen 2 comp. Since most tentacruels ran physical sets. I would say it goes for Gen 3 as well but I’m not sure if it ran the physical sets
You should do Crystal Clear. It’s open world and you get many different starters options. There is so many new details added to the game that make it feel like this is what gen 2 was always supposed to to be. You also get to customize your caricature and get to choose where on the map you are starting from. Not the hardest game ever but very fun. It’s level scaled anyways so no over leveling. Hope to see it.

Missing the spiritomb in Azelea makes whitney much harder. Spiritomb completely shuts down two of her mons, making her way easier

On god Starmie is a sleeper build. This thing can literally sweep the entirety of FRLG E4 including Blue with Surf, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Ice Beam. There you’ll never need to use anyone else again.
Starmie's always had amazing coverage. The only real hard stop to it defensively that wasn't either of the pink blobs didn't come along until Gen 5.

@@sceptile2794 Takes a lot from Thunderbolt though it's probably fine against unboosted ones. It's Ferrothorn. Takes very little from Ice Beam, resists Starmie's STAB and usual Electric coverage. The only out is HP Fire which Ferrothorn shrugs off in rain and don't even think it one-shots outside of it unless there's sun up.

New to this channel after watching Flygon for so long, I thought it'd be weird to see rom hacks played with less tactic, skill and and theorycrafting but it's refreshingly dynamic!

@officialAntlerboyLIVE I recently got introduced to romhacks when I bought the wrong version of White 2. Since then, I've started playing Renegade Platinum and it is my favorite by far. It also has a super hard 12v12 double battle that I think you'd enjoy trying to plan out

It's fun to watch Nuzlocke's in games that are actually difficult. All Drayano hacks are phenomenal but I like 'Blaze Black 2' best if you put in in challenge mode.
Dude this was awesome! HGSS are probably my favorite games, so knowing there's a Drayano hack makes me want to try it for my channel!

I played this game, a lot. I couldn't find trainer docs anywhere, so I painstakingly made them myself. Still took maaaany tries to beat a hardcore nuzlocke. Let me say, some of your encounters were very lucky. Also they must've had near full iv's. There were a ton of situations where they took hits way better than average, and you dealt an unreasonable amount of one-shots without boosting.
Fun challenges I always throw in are the gym leader rematches, lance-clair double battle, and elite 4 round two. Very difficult

I'd love to see a double emerald romhack, all major battles are double battles and even a lot of wild battles are doubles too which could give you some choice as to who your encounter is.

Drayano (i think thats how to spell it) has made some amazing pokemon Rom hacks like Blaze Black for gen 5 and would definitely make some good Nuzlocke content my friend.
I’m doing a soullink of this game with a friend and we’re gonna go victory road with 5 pairs dead up until now.
Also, i noticed that you missed a bunch of amazing mons here and there. A lanturn is insane(you can try to catch a magikarp in the first town on the way to the place you get the evee, then go to your hometown to try to get it. If you don’t, shellder is okay as well), glaceon is a godlike counter to 80% of giovanni’s team among SO MANY fights (even more so with a blizzard setup), if you go and clear the route to safari zone before Pryce, you can get a riolu egg in mahogany town (lucario cleanly sweeps Pryce with close combat), kinda sad you got that gliscor so late.
Also, i took glaceon for the evee evolution and my friend took jolteon (good god the glaceon is amazing for so many things)

The physical Tentacruel was a reference to the old 'druidcruel' sets, which took advantage of how Tentacruel forces so many switches to get a surprise Swords Dance or Substitute. It usually ran Hydropump because that was so standard a move and did enough damage without special attack investment that even if you had to show Tentacruel early, it didn't necessarily show all your cards. It was a build from long before the team preview days of course. I'd love to see Pokemon Unbound, its just the best romhack, is not the best pokemon game in general, that I have ever played.
