Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Clefable, who hit Rattata with Cute Charm on Turn 2: 😅
Also, Magic Guard negates indirect damage, not status or added effects. The paraflinch strat was still viable-he just got unlucky on prior turns.
Edit: And he also gets a flinch on Clefable later in the battle. I am now officially confused on what he was talking about.
@@LemonAide132Magic Guard prevented full paralysis in Gen IV. It was nerfed in Gen V.

The rat power reference is a subtle detail, at least in the video, I don't konw the thought process that happened during the stream, but it's just so good.
It shows respect and friendship between two of the best pokem nuzlokers on this platform.
And the same thing applies to other names like magnemeete.
I'm so happy that I can get those references

I can't escape him. Flygon just appears and forces pronunciations on your life no matter where you go.
3:33 I can relate to that. I once found a shiny Sandile in Pokémon Y, lowered its HP to the red, paralyzed it (with Static), but only had a single Heal Ball to catch it. The ball rocked three times, and the Sandile broke out. It still hurts a bit to this day.
I recall finding a Shiny Rattata in Castelia Sewers... that Hugh's Dewott promptly killed.
My first ever shiny was a Geodude on route 45 that self-destructed. But I got 3 shinies in a single FireRed Nuzlocke later on so that compensated nicely.
Mine was a Graveler in Heart Gold Victory Road, which also exploded. 10 years later, I reclaimed it by getting a Geodude in the Safari Zone
This was so epic as always. Huge respect to Rat Power for carrying the run
This is one of the best nuzlocke’s I’ve ever watched because it was actually difficult. I get so bored watching a nuzlocke where maybe one pokemon goes down before the champion fight. Absolutely LOVED this!!!

Pro tip: remember to buy enough balls guys. Also morty's machamp being no guard from its moves makes no sense, probably you gave it guts with poison gas

Yo that Larvitar encounter on rt46 brought some flashbacks to when I was a kid and spent hours
thinking one could spawn there in the early game..
Venomoth being a Fairy/Dragon type will make this nuzlocke a piece of cake.

I want u to know I laughed so fucking hard through this whole video just seeing the bs that flygon put u through it was so messed up.
I laughed especially hard at the silver wind and ancient power omniboots cause right before they happend i said to myself "wait.....doesn't that move have a chance for an omni boost?" Then boom it happened the timing wad impeccable
Only thing that would've made the Omni-boosts funnier is if there was a mon with Ominous Wind getting one too XD

@@ott5095it has guts ability, guts ability increase the attack of pokemon by 50% if it is burned, paralyzed or poisoned.
