- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Radical Red in version 4.1?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Radical red is sick asf, idk if you put in the cheat codes at the very start to get care packages and rare candies for free, these definitely help out when doing a nuzzlocke
Especially if you do multiple playthroughs. It doesn't change the difficulty, but it does streamline the experience a bit.
First CGA, Now the Antlery Boy. I really thought the odds of winning were against him back when everybody even suggested the hack. But no, failure meant nothing to the Swedish Man and he made till' the very end like a King. Congrats man, you really had it in yourself. Also, like the other guy said, we really need more IRL Skits in your videos, they could really mirror Flygon's ones on his videos.
Well done antler. Such a tough game even on minimal, but it's the best game to watch the best nuzlockers crack and that was a great first video.

I downloaded radical red because i had never tried a romhack before and i thought it would be fun. I cant even get past the firsf Giovanni fight. So seeing that Antboy struggled the first time is actually verhmy comforting.

I play Pokemon since 1999 casually every generation and somewhat competitve since the 2010s. I tried radical red too and couldn't make it without nuzlocke rules even (but blind). Getting to the champ at the 2nd attempt under nuzlocke rules is really awesome gg

you can open those options
maybe do a mono type dragon ? archaludon , baxcalibur and hydregon are busted
or maybe a sand team tyranitar garchomp aggron metagross team is unbeatable
or an egglocke&giftlocke or starters only
with radical red 4.1 options are endless really ....

in the first part of the game is you speak to one of the scientists in the lab you’ll recieve a time changer which allows you to make encounters at nighttime, that’s why you got all the normals

Hey, new idea for a challenge. Instead of a monotype team, go with a theme team. Destroy All Monsters was the late night movie last night, and I thought about a kaiju themed team. Blastoise or Carracosta for Gamera, Tyranitar for Godzilla, Volcarona for Mothra, Hydreigon for Ghidora, Aerodactyl or Noivern for Rodan, Nidoking for Baragon, Crawdaunt or Clauncher for Ebirah, Drampa for Manda, Muk for Hedorah, Heracross for Megalon, Bisharp for Gigan, Galvantula for Kumonga, Scyther for Kamacuras, Gliscor for Megaguirus, and Armaldo for MOGUERA.
And if you include the newer monsterverse material, you can use Torterra or Venusaur for Methuselah, Mamoswine for Behemoth, Gyarados or possibly Dragalge for Tiamat.
And there are so many options for Kong. Infernape, Rillaboom, Slaking, or I could even see Snorlax.
Heads up for future runs with Talonflame-he is an elite four mon and could straight up solo fights. He can solo chuck and Erika (haven't gotten past Erika yet in the video) and the strat is
- hone claws, hone claws, roost, hone claws, roost, flame charge, dual wingbeat everyone else. A jolly natured Talonflame at +1 speed outspeeds Erika's Electrode and dual wingbeat will one shot every single one of her mons
