I thought about this too, but it would be functionally useless. Because its attack and defense are equal, close combat would be infinitely better as you would never EV train in Defense for a pokemon with 1 HP

In Eastern philosophies, it's thought that there are 108 temptations that one must overcome in order to achieve nirvana. I think it'd be interesting if Inverse Absol is the one that people mistake and slander regular Absol for like Inverse Absol actually does summon disasters, but regular absol only predict and warn
Great designs today! I love how Absol turned out. It'd be fun if you did a Happy Ending video where you took Pokemon with tragic back stories (like Absol, Cubone, Banette, etc) and rewrote their stories to give them a different design
This would be a really interesting gimmick for a fangame! Not like, they change into these forms, but basically regional variants. I'm thinking like, some regional legendary exerting a strange Inverse Power over the region and it makes pokemon develop like that!

I outstalled and defeated Chairman Rose with a single Greedant once. I personally believe he was driven to insanity because this steel type master and owner of a massive corporate empire was defeated utterly by a single fat squirrel named S.I.M.P. (Phineas and Ferb reference). Unfortunately Raihan and Leon were too much for my Squirrel to handle. (This was in a normal type run where I only used four pokemon BTW)
You could make evil pokemon good, and good pokemon evil or other complete personality swaps. Imagine a darkrai that's still dark type, just really happy, or like a very focused, serious haunter. Or perhaps a slaking that's very athletic and not lazy.
A video idea that would give Absol a better life actually pairs with a personal theory I've had for a while. The theory is that humans and pokemon impact each other's types, which is why objectively good and helpful pokemon like Absol are Dark type, and certain trainers that use a specific type almost exclusively are physically or mentally strange, like the Fairy Girls in X and Y having those strange eyes. So, if a species lived in an area where public opinion of them was flipped, their type would change. If Absol lived in an area where it's disaster sensing powers were appreciated and respected, it might become a fairy type. If Raltz grew up in an area where people were closed off emotionally, it might lose its fairy typing before becoming Gallade.
I picture Pheromosa being completely still, quiet etc. Then they find something to fight for & in a flash, Magical Girl Transformation they unlock their full potential...
this is a really cool concept especially seeing so many ways to take the pokemon with the inverse stats outside of a role reversal. one funny concept would be emolga who instead to be a quick but kinda of weak and frail it would be big and chunky who uses his wings to fall with style and divebomb into enemies.
you should make a evo or regional form of absol that takes on castforms ability, showcasing that it now adapts to the disasters it would normally warn people of, and uses it's new typing that watches the weather to control or redirect hurricanes, tsunamis, tornados, and other weather related disasters
Well if you really want to make it so that we can give absol a happy ending how about What would Pokémon look like with opposite lore Basically Negativemon which are Pokémon who's pre evolutions would stay the same, but one thing or multiple if required would change what it does and look like completely. I feel like the only way you could make a happy Absol is with a concept inversion. Instead of a creature that sends warnings to people that are believed to cause those warnings, it's a creature deemed to be this great hero, but in actuality, it constantly brings about misery and despair. I actually made an Edgar Allen Poe Pokemon that had this concept. The one problem with the idea is that it sounds more like something that isn't an absol than one that is... heck, it might have even gotten its reputation from chasing off absol... or maybe after it got that reputation, absol tried to chase them off, which continued their bad reputation. Edit: wanted to mention that the one I made was actually a convergent form of Corviknight... who gained their reputation by looking like a Corviknight in a region where Corviknight can't be found.
I’ve thought about this before. We’ve had generations focused on space/dimensions (Palkia) with Ultra Beasts, time (Dialga) with Paradox Pokemon. What if we got a generation with anti or inverted Pokemon for Giratina?
I think it would be really cool to take pokemon with bad/tragic pokedex entries and design them if they were to have good/positive pokedex entries like phantump :)

I think an inverse sneasler could be cool! A stalwart protecter, much less agile, but better suited to withstanding strong attacks. I like idea their still more heroic than their modern ancestors.
I’m sure you thought of this, but I would have just swapped the highest & lowest stats so the base stat total didn’t change to much. I do think your method though was more respectful to the range each stat has seen within the games and for Pokémon with multiple stats that have the same number
The video is super fun as well as the designs, but I think one of the key elements for part to is to maintain the bst the same, and not just averaging, by manipulating approximately to the average. This is way you will have the same Pokémon, just a different take on it
Inverse the ability/type...like for absol instead of the disaster Pokemon it becomes the blessing Pokemon..do this for other Pokemon too and you have yourself and pretty cool video i think
