Tommy was recreating his role as the Russian Chess player Anatolij from the West End original and Helen sings the role of Florence, girlfriend of the American Chess player. Here they realize how impossible their situation is as he has to save his wife who is hostage to the Soviet authorities back in Russia "we who belong together are forced apart". Look for the same song but with Tommy Körberg and Elaine Page for the original version with the English lyrics.
There's another song from CHESS of course by Benny & Bjorn, called Someone Else's Story that would make a great reaction video. Another of their masterpieces.

This is such an odd piece of work. The stage production doesn’t work for me, at all, but the music and lyrics are so incredible that it works perfectly in a concert setting. It so easily stirs emotions for me. Thanks for posting.
