Sir. My mums creatinine kept on increasing even shes using all the medicines but still its increasing and when i checked. Her bicarbonate level is low. Its 10. So shall i give her baking soda to increase that level

Interesting lecture ! I am 65 year old retired orthopaedic surgeon. Suffering from HTN & on treatment since 1977. Secondary HTN due to ch.bilat advance pyelonephritis/ glomerulonephritis. Later had two MI 2014 & 2016. Had total thyroidectomy done 2011 for cold nodules. Developed DM in2019. My creatinine remsins between 1.1-- 1.8. more during the month of fasting. But my K+ remains around 3.5. I do not understand why my K+is always on the lower side. I am physically active and around, driving, still doing private practice, though I have stopped surgery now ! My question is why my k+ is on the lower side,and with this k+ level do i need avoid food rich in k+ !
