My mom was started dialysis @ 79 yrs. She was 82 when she passed away 10 months ago. Her first symptoms were severe exhaustion, (even for being elderly) Itchy skin, especially in her back and stomach area and pain in her back, legs and headache. She also started getting nauseas all the time, throwing up, became anemic and couldn’t breath well when lying down. She went to her fmly doc all the time and it wasn’t until she had an unrelated surgery that a different doctor discovered that she had kidney disease, adding to the already multiple illnesses she had. She suffered so much that last year. I am very glad she has no more pain and torment, but I miss my Mama soooo-sooo much~❤️
my mother was61yrs were she passed away from Kidney disease. she would go three 3x a week to Dialysis. she developed blk LG spot on skin and had to get it surgery removed . The disease allows you to drink 32oz of fluid including your cooking water. if she cheated like she did with ice chip. she would supper with bad cramps. my heart ❤went out to her. she passed away 61ytrs... please get ck. When she was child diagnosed with Reumatic fever, supposedly that causes kidney problems. take care
I had just about all these warnings and didn’t realize it until it was too late. Had kidney stone. 2nd time! The worst thing/pain ever in my life. I am doing things much differently this time around. I wasn’t educated enough about them the first time. 2nd time around, learned a lot! Our health is our wealth and we don’t realize it until we don’t have it. @@simonezuri8303 A pain in the back that radiates down the leg is more indication of a spinal pinch or nerve issue. sciatica. Often L4 and L5 vertebrae. MRI needed to see if there is a protrusion. If there is you get 3 options: Surgery, Physical therapy with cortisol injections steroids, or Yoga. I took yoga and after doing it regularly for a couple years, the disks have moved back into place.

If your over 40 , you must eat right . No power drinks , ginsing , ginkoba or diet coke , coke and junk food as McDonalds . I say this because I ruined mine and on dialysis . You don't want to be on this . I advise anyone who don't eat right . cut down on alcohol and drugs . Moderation is fine but most of what is said here is right . all the things he said here is what you have on a daily basis once you are on dialysis and more . , I have a device in my arm where they have to stick me with big needles to clean my blood 3 times a week , 4 hours a day . This isn't fun . So please take my advice , eat right , stop the colas and live a good life , I'm a prisoner to a machine , so don't you be .

I have End Stage Renal Disease and I am on dialysis. I was getting very sick but did not know what was wrong but everything tasted like metal and I stopped eating and drinking for 5 days, could barely walk and I was sent to the hospital and was in there 3 weeks. I experienced every emotion you can think of and I did NOT want to have this problem, but I do. For 2 years now.
Just so some people know... If you have some of these symptoms it doesn't necessarily mean you have kidney problems. Some of these could be linked to other diseases or mental disorders. So no panic. Just make sure you sleep well. drink enough water and atleast eat some fruit once in the day or once in the two days... Stay healthy ♥

I have all of these symptoms, have for many months, but the dr said I was fine. Then I found my lab work results for a period of time on my healthcare portal, that stated I have chronic kidney disease, stage 2 renal failure. The dr never told me. One of the worst days of my life. Once I stopped crying 24/7, I started doing research on how to help myself. It hasn't been easy. Has caused my emotions to be all over the place. I even went to the chiropractor thinking I had injured it somehow. Nothing ever helped. I even went through lots of antibiotics thinking it was a kidney infection. Talk to your doctor!!
Always a good thing to see a doctor for a physical annually. Only bloodwork will reveal kidney issues. If you catch it early enough you can slow it down or even stop further CKD progression.

I would say these symptoms are VERY accurate. I’ve been experiencing these (and others) for months, I went into the ER 5 times and I was finally diagnosed with Nutcracker Syndrome. This is different than kidney failure. Nutcracker Syndrome affects the left kidney due to my veins squeezing each other. MAKE SURE you are diagnosed correctly and get multiple opinions. This Syndrome is VERY rare! Only about 0.3% or less of the population has it. It can be fixed with surgery🙏🏼I’m just sharing my experience in case anyone else is worried about their health and symptoms. I hope this helps!
These symptoms can mean that you've got chronic kidney disease (CKD). A doctor can order blood tests to find out for sure. CKD has 5 stages, with the symptoms getting progressively worse in each stage. By the time you get to stage 4, you're almost to the point of needing dialysis, if you're not already on it. I've read articles that say that at this point, if the disease is untreated, the average lifespan is approximately 1 to 5 years, and sometimes even if it is treated the average lifespan is the same. It depends on the individual. That's where I'm at, though my doctor hasn't ordered dialysis yet. Wish me luck.

I went to the hospital and needed up in there for four nights. My symptoms were pain bloated feeling in my very lover (hip/groin area) on my right side also had pain in the same place on the lower back. I was exhausted and three days of thinking maybe it’s gas or stomach issue I finally took my temperature and it was close to 102. Doctors said I can’t believe you waited thank god you got here now otherwise outcome would have been different. I ended up having a bacterial infection I was unaware of had and it spread for both kidneys (although only one side pained me). It also spread to my blood. Went home and did 5 days of antibiotics infusion treatment. I’m a slim healthy 36 year old female and never would have thought I was on the brink of renal/kidney failure. Hospital bills were a B-ch (obviously) so if you have any of my or the above symptoms try to get to primary care asap. Stay well and keep up the jokes in he comment section 😬😆🤣

Oh boy, I got sent to a urologist, he was kind but the scanning women reduced me to tears. Anyway I have had a catheter for 30 yrs now, I got sharp flank pain, shattered even after sleep, bloated side and tummy, very frequent urination with visible blood. The Dr asked me have you got unexplained weight loss? Yes I said its great. He laughed then he left the room. he came back in with his boss. I got further testing and a booked op, this video is so great as it can prevent people from getting as bad as I am well done bright side.. people if you get problems do not be strong/ brave or put it off please seek help..
Excellent video. I have Chronic Kidney disease Stage V so I know and have experienced all these symptoms; however this is the most complete video on this disease. I strongly recommend the video to anyone who has been diagnosed with beginning of CKD. Especially before you decide to see a doctor.
Always remember that when taken individually, these symptoms could have any of multiple causes, however when they appear together, that is when you should consider questioning whether or not your kidneys may be involved. Also - if you have other chronic illnesses and/or are already on multiple medications for something else, it can be confounding when trying to determine what is a symptom and what is a side effect. Always consult a doctor for evaluation and specific blood tests and be sure to give your doctor an exhaustive list of the medications you take, your diet, activity and as complete a medical history as possible before saying "I think it's my kidneys." While doctors are trained to be able to identify all sorts of illnesses and conditions, they can't make an accurate diagnosis without a complete picture of what is going on.

I have headaches, fatigue and weakness, back pain and when that happens, I always take Alka Seltzer when I am feeling really tired and off. It helps stabilize ph balance in the body and can even help the kidneys function better. The more acidic the body is, the harder it is in general on the internal organs. Of course I increase fluid levels because being chronically dehydrated will contribute to the kidneys not functioning well.

I had an kidney infection when I was 16, it wasn't bad, the doctor gave me medication for it and the infection went away in 5 days. I'm happy it wasn't anything serious.

dirk diggler should drink a lot more water. The amount of water is half of your weight. Example: if your weight is 150 pounds so you should drink at least 80 oz water per day.

I think all of them and for me it was huge kidney stones in my right kidney...tons of them but 7 really large ones and one of them being over 3 centimeters (golf ball size). It blocked my ureter and caused severe hydronephrosis...I literally felt like I was dying. They had to do 3 surgeries...first was an emergency stint to try and drain my kidney for about 2 weeks, then it was the major surgery going through my back and pulverizing the stones and removing them. When they removed the tube from my back a week later my right lung completely collapsed. Again I was in emergency surgery getting a chest tube. I still have kidney stones in both kidneys but not like it was. I will never in my life ignore these types of symptoms again.

With medication and controlling my blood pressure they've maintained that level for 3 years now. No problem apparently, as I don't have any of the symptoms listed in this video. I've been passing blood every day for the past couple of years. I've had test after test done, but despite the bleeding & 24-hour agony, the doctors won't do anything more. I've been told that unless I'm showing symptoms of something life-threatening happening, they won't be doing anything about it & I just have to live with it. Just because my GP has been worried about my white blood cells lately, I'm having yet again one more CT scan soon; but I recall nothing showed up last time, so I'm not even going to hold my breath in the hope that they'll find something that will encourage further exploration. Maybe (if I'm lucky) they'll legalise cannabis where I live one of these days, so I can at least get better pain-relief. Until then, I'm stuck staring at the same 4 walls every day... 😥
Im having dry fingers, back pain, bad breath, puffy eyes and trouble sleeping. And a few days ago after training for track and field i had a bad headache and felt like vomiting a bit. Today i have a track meet (400m) and my time deprove by A LOT because i had shortness of breath(which wasnt so bad before these few days) and my right side of my torso WAS HURTING SO MUCH. Right now even a few hours after the meet my right side is a bit pain. I suspect theres a problem with my kidney so from today onwards im going to drink a lot of water.

Although these symptoms are indicative of many problems, none stand alone signifying anything. The best thing everyone should do is get an annual medical checkup by your doctor who normally will get lab tests of your blood (checking for anemia, kidney disease, bad cholesterol levels, liver disease, diabetes, infections), urinalysis (kidney disease, urinary tract infections), check for normal oxygen levels in your blood, check for high blood pressure, and answer any concerns you may have about a particular problem like shortness of breath, etc. Other tests may then be required. But this is the best way to find out if you have a problem (and if so, could be dealt with quickly and properly). This presentation was wrong about sleep apnea being caused by kidney disease. Sleep apnea is caused by either an obstruction in the airway usually the soft palate dropping while asleep closing the airway (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) or the central nervous system shutting down the breathing apparatus while asleep (Central Sleep Apnea).

Thank god about 2 years ago I had some symptoms like the dry skin my elbows were LITTERALLY cracking BECUASE how dry they were but it's gone now I had a lot of symptoms along time ago but it's fine now lol I increased my water intake since then and also lessened my ice cream and sugar intake Just some tips that worked for me

If your over 40 , you must eat right . No power drinks , ginsing , ginkoba or diet coke , coke and junk food as McDonalds . I say this because I ruined mine and on dialysis . You don't want to be on this . I advise anyone who don't eat right . cut down on alcohol and drugs . Moderation is fine but most of what is said here is right . all the things he said here is what you have on a daily basis once you are on dialysis and more . , I have a device in my arm where they have to stick me with big needles to clean my blood 3 times a week , 4 hours a day . This isn't fun . So please take my advice , eat right , stop the colas and live a good life , I'm a prisoner to a machine , so don't you be .

I have End Stage Renal Disease and I am on dialysis. I was getting very sick but did not know what was wrong but everything tasted like metal and I stopped eating and drinking for 5 days, could barely walk and I was sent to the hospital and was in there 3 weeks. Just so some people know... If you have some of these symptoms it doesn't necessarily mean you have kidney problems. Some of these could be linked to other diseases or mental disorders. So no panic. Just make sure you sleep well. drink enough water and atleast eat some fruit once in the day or once in the two days... Stay healthy ♥

I have all of these symptoms, have for many months, but the dr said I was fine. Then I found my lab work results for a period of time on my healthcare portal, that stated I have chronic kidney disease, stage 2 renal failure. The dr never told me. One of the worst days of my life. Once I stopped crying 24/7, I started doing research on how to help myself. It hasn't been easy. Has caused my emotions to be all over the place. Not only was I sick, but I lost trust in a dr who for 23 years cared for my health needs. I felt, and still do feel, betrayed. It's a feeling I haven't been able to shake. But, I'm getting stronger. Always a good thing to see a doctor for a physical annually. Only bloodwork will reveal kidney issues. If you catch it early enough you can slow it down or even stop further CKD progression.

I would say these symptoms are VERY accurate. I’ve been experiencing these (and others) for months, I went into the ER 5 times and I was finally diagnosed with Nutcracker Syndrome. This is different than kidney failure. Nutcracker Syndrome affects the left kidney due to my veins squeezing each other. MAKE SURE you are diagnosed correctly and get multiple opinions. This Syndrome is VERY rare! Only about 0.3% or less of the population has it. It can be fixed with surgery🙏🏼I’m just sharing my experience in case anyone else is worried about their health and symptoms. I hope this helps!

These symptoms can mean that you've got chronic kidney disease (CKD). A doctor can order blood tests to find out for sure. CKD has 5 stages, with the symptoms getting progressively worse in each stage. By the time you get to stage 4, you're almost to the point of needing dialysis, if you're not already on it. I've read articles that say that at this point, if the disease is untreated, the average lifespan is approximately 1 to 5 years, and sometimes even if it is treated the average lifespan is the same. It depends on the individual. That's where I'm at, though my doctor hasn't ordered dialysis yet. Wish me luck.

I went to the hospital and needed up in there for four nights. My symptoms were pain bloated feeling in my very lover (hip/groin area) on my right side also had pain in the same place on the lower back. I was exhausted and three days of thinking maybe it’s gas or stomach issue I finally took my temperature and it was close to 102. Doctors said I can’t believe you waited thank god you got here now otherwise outcome would have been different. I ended up having a bacterial infection I was unaware of had and it spread for both kidneys (although only one side pained me). It also spread to my blood. Went home and did 5 days of antibiotics infusion treatment. I’m a slim healthy 36 year old female and never would have thought I was on the brink of renal/kidney failure. Hospital bills were a B-ch (obviously) so if you have any of my or the above symptoms try to get to primary care asap. Stay well and keep up the jokes in he comment section 😬😆🤣

Oh boy, I got sent to a urologist, he was kind but the scanning women reduced me to tears. Anyway I have had a catheter for 30 yrs now, I got sharp flank pain, shattered even after sleep, bloated side and tummy, very frequent urination with visible blood. The Dr asked me have you got unexplained weight loss? Yes I said its great. He laughed then he left the room. he came back in with his boss. I got further testing and a booked op, this video is so great as it can prevent people from getting as bad as I am well done bright side.. people if you get problems do not be strong/ brave or put it off please seek help..
Excellent video. I have Chronic Kidney disease Stage V so I know and have experienced all these symptoms; however this is the most complete video on this disease. I strongly recommend the video to anyone who has been diagnosed with beginning of CKD. Especially before you decide to see a doctor.
Always remember that when taken individually, these symptoms could have any of multiple causes, however when they appear together, that is when you should consider questioning whether or not your kidneys may be involved. Also - if you have other chronic illnesses and/or are already on multiple medications for something else, it can be confounding when trying to determine what is a symptom and what is a side effect. Always consult a doctor for evaluation and specific blood tests and be sure to give your doctor an exhaustive list of the medications you take, your diet, activity and as complete a medical history as possible before saying "I think it's my kidneys." While doctors are trained to be able to identify all sorts of illnesses and conditions, they can't make an accurate diagnosis without a complete picture of what is going on.
I know, I suffer from several chronic conditions as well, high blood pressure and Diabetes, and I've always had anemia since birth
Many of these symptoms are also indicative of liver disease.

I have headaches, fatigue and weakness, back pain and when that happens, I always take Alka Seltzer when I am feeling really tired and off. It helps stabilize ph balance in the body and can even help the kidneys function better. The more acidic the body is, the harder it is in general on the internal organs. Of course I increase fluid levels because being chronically dehydrated will contribute to the kidneys not functioning well.
Same happened to my sister thank God shes fine now after getting the stones out of her body.

I think all of them and for me it was huge kidney stones in my right kidney...tons of them but 7 really large ones and one of them being over 3 centimeters (golf ball size). It blocked my ureter and caused severe hydronephrosis...I literally felt like I was dying. They had to do 3 surgeries...first was an emergency stint to try and drain my kidney for about 2 weeks, then it was the major surgery going through my back and pulverizing the stones and removing them. When they removed the tube from my back a week later my right lung completely collapsed. Again I was in emergency surgery getting a chest tube. I still have kidney stones in both kidneys but not like it was. I will never in my life ignore these types of symptoms again.

I had most of these signs like the pain, the bad taste, loss of appetite, the swelling of my hands and ankles when I had a kidney infection but I'm all good now

I have most of these symptoms fairly regularly (esp in winter) and my kidneys are fine.
Those are the symptoms I've seen from my father before he rested into "sleep". I miss him so much.

I've had a long history of kidney stones, about 9 attacks since 1980. I'm also diagnose with chronic kidney disease and my kidneys function at just over 50%. With medication and controlling my blood pressure they've maintained that level for 3 years now. No problem apparently, as I don't have any of the symptoms listed in this video. And btw, almost every one of these symptoms can be explained by something else.
I wish my ex was as diligent about his health as you. He has chronic kidney disease and isn't taking care of his health. He also eats junk

I've been passing blood every day for the past couple of years. I've had test after test done, but despite the bleeding & 24-hour agony, the doctors won't do anything more. I've been told that unless I'm showing symptoms of something life-threatening happening, they won't be doing anything about it & I just have to live with it. Just because my GP has been worried about my white blood cells lately, I'm having yet again one more CT scan soon; but I recall nothing showed up last time, so I'm not even going to hold my breath in the hope that they'll find something that will encourage further exploration. Maybe (if I'm lucky) they'll legalise cannabis where I live one of these days, so I can at least get better pain-relief. Until then, I'm stuck staring at the same 4 walls every day... 😥

Im having dry fingers, back pain, bad breath, puffy eyes and trouble sleeping. And a few days ago after training for track and field i had a bad headache and felt like vomiting a bit. Today i have a track meet (400m) and my time deprove by A LOT because i had shortness of breath(which wasnt so bad before these few days) and my right side of my torso WAS HURTING SO MUCH. Right now even a few hours after the meet my right side is a bit pain. I suspect theres a problem with my kidney so from today onwards im going to drink a lot of water.

Although these symptoms are indicative of many problems, none stand alone signifying anything. The best thing everyone should do is get an annual medical checkup by your doctor who normally will get lab tests of your blood (checking for anemia, kidney disease, bad cholesterol levels, liver disease, diabetes, infections), urinalysis (kidney disease, urinary tract infections), check for normal oxygen levels in your blood, check for high blood pressure, and answer any concerns you may have about a particular problem like shortness of breath, etc. Other tests may then be required. But this is the best way to find out if you have a problem (and if so, could be dealt with quickly and properly).
This presentation was wrong about sleep apnea being caused by kidney disease. Sleep apnea is caused by either an obstruction in the airway usually the soft palate dropping while asleep closing the airway (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) or the central nervous system shutting down the breathing apparatus while asleep (Central Sleep Apnea).

Thank god about 2 years ago I had some symptoms like the dry skin my elbows were LITTERALLY cracking BECUASE how dry they were but it's gone now I had a lot of symptoms along time ago but it's fine now lol I increased my water intake since then and also lessened my ice cream and sugar intake
Just some tips that worked for me
@Happy Forever let’s just say I drank and drink more milk than I do water lol also yes drinking more water does work usually pair it with other things like moisturiser and eventually it will work until you won’t need the moisturiser drink plenty of water but by my standards you seem to be drinking enough I personally like drinking it when I’m pretty thirsty so it “tastes” much better and is much more refreshing or whatever
