But most of all, it just works and it has some serious stopping power. Not because it's actually a good rifle. Personally, if I had to choose a AK it would be the 103 or 105. Not an AK-47. I like how the ones with slant break are pretty stable on full auto. That's why it was designed for. The main complaints about AK type 3 was the poor accuracy/controllability on full auto, price and weight. Solved all these problems in 1959 with AKM and slant break.
The AK is arguably the most important and influential firearm in the world. Seeing use for over the last 60 years through various wars and insurgencies it will never jam or break and is also the most mass produced AR of all time with 75 to 100 million made.
It doesn't never jam or break. It breaks and jams all the time, but it is still quiet a reliable fire arm for it's price, which is why so many countries use it. Because of it's simplicity and price. That is pretty much it.

If you are just firing this normally and not getting it dirty, it will be very rare it jams as long as you aren't beating the shit out of it with full auto for a day (my friend did that to the point where the wooden handguard caught on fire) but because of the guns simplicity, it is rare it jams and it is still a very reliable weapon. But there are plenty of fire arms out there that are better, but they tend to cost more. That and the ak's stopping power is undeniable. One round can turn your insides to liquid.

I owned a billet receiver AK for 35 years. It never failed to draw a crowd. I always let anyone shoot it who asked. (Supply your own ammo) After shooting, most people just nodded their head and walked away. Some needed to yell out loud, others needed to sit down and process what just happened. It was good enough for 50 Yard torso hits in semi. OR writing your name in the dirt bank in FA. I sold it 5 years ago for high 4 digits. They sell now for three times as much. A strong person can hold it on target. (It does walk in a spiral) At the last, I converted it to an RPK version. With the longer/heavy barrel and the bipod, it would stay on target and was comfy to shoot. RPK=The best!!!

I honestly can't tell if it's a bump stock or not, could just be vibrating the hell out of him. Doesn't help that it looks like it was recorded on someone's flip phone, I can almost count the pixels :P As to the rate of fire, is probably a result of different production specs on different AK's from different countries. Some are probably missing the rate reducer (is actually a bolt bounce safety, but it does reduce RPM a lil'), milled AK's in particular don't have them usually.
In some versions of AK RPM was slowed down. Because this rifle is oriented for non-professional soldier, and it would be realy sad if he will lose all of his bullets in scary situation because of fast RPM.

But, even the most uneducated, those who can't read, write, or do math can be taught how to shoot it, disassemble it, clean it, and put it back together in short order. Loose tolerances lend it to be a bit inaccurate, but it doesn't need to be. Parts can be swapped out and replaced no matter their country of origin (for the most part). Those things will be around for a hundred more years probably.

I honestly can't tell if it's a bump stock or not, could just be vibrating the hell out of him. Doesn't help that it looks like it was recorded on someone's flip phone, I can almost count the pixels :P
As to the rate of fire, is probably a result of different production specs on different AK's from different countries. Some are probably missing the rate reducer (is actually a bolt bounce safety, but it does reduce RPM a lil'), milled AK's in particular don't have them usually.

In some versions of AK RPM was slowed down. Because this rifle is oriented for non-professional soldier, and it would be realy sad if he will lose all of his bullets in scary situation because of fast RPM.

Well, ya gotta hand it to em...the design of the AK is arguably the best of the modern era. Nothing else comes close.

@@ChipChurp yup, and I mean this as no insult. But, even the most uneducated, those who can't read, write, or do math can be taught how to shoot it, disassemble it, clean it, and put it back together in short order. Loose tolerances lend it to be a bit inaccurate, but it doesn't need to be. Parts can be swapped out and replaced no matter their country of origin (for the most part). Those things will be around for a hundred more years probably.
Except the AR-15 platform which is arguably better, even the Russians switched to the superior 5.45 cartridge after studying the 5.56 round.
