+krombopulous michael Not really. this is way beyond combat shooting. Most soldiers or contractors (at least on stationary position) look at rifles as the last line of defense. The rifle is a supplement to belt fed, mortars, and in some cases, air support. Otherwise the rifle is meant to help fill in the gaps and is a PDW. Most soldiers and some contractors only carry a basic combat load. This showed the rifle capable of sustained fire where sheer numbers can overrun an attack and still handle a combat load out in semi auto fire. Maybe not as accurate because the barrel is shot but, just the fact it worked says a hell of a lot. That being said, I completely see your point. Unless you're in E&E mode under extreme circumstances, (and even then) rifles aren't shot like this. This is better performance than a M4 by a long shot.
This video sold me on the 416. Not to say I'll ever go to that limit. But gd it's impressive. I also couldn't help but notice that when it wasn't properly feeding/cycling is always when there wasn't a new gen mag in. Maybe it has nothing to do with it idk. Great content.
Unless you've got one of the ATF's Golden Tickets, I assume you mean you're going to pick up a POF P415, since our government doesn't trust common citizens with full auto weapons. I own a P415, and it's a fantastic AR. Wouldn't trade it for any DI gun on the market.
+ROBINSON4942 By the numbers 50 million (conservatively) in the US own 1 or more of 300 million+ firearms in the US. There is not enough Law Enforcement Officers, Military, Prison Space, or Budget to enforce even a partial "ban." What we the shooting public need to do is encourage people to take up shooting as a fun and practical activity that is also important to essential Liberty. The less insular and backbiting we act the more broad acceptance will force politicians to accept the realities. Like it or not Abortion, Gay Marriage, and Firearms are here to stay.
It would be cool if you did an accuracy check at the beginning and end of your burn down tests...that way if it doesn't fail or it can still operate even marginally we can see the effects on accuracy the burn down
Wow. That was pretty damn impressive! Even a 30 second break and it would generally blow through the whole mag. That isn't a lot of cooling time. Now we know why they cost what they do.
Full auto is out.. Hold my be .... On second thought, imma need that.. I'm sure if you dumped 2700+rds of ammo in 20 min.. You got you a situation on your hands where a shortage of pee ain't a problem..

This gun is bad ass!!! Yes it did have some issues but that wasn't until Eric smoked a thousand rounds out of it. It was getting very hot and dirty at that point, but unlike the AR15 or AK meltdown vids this gun didn't fail. The temporary set backs are managable if you're not in close quarters, you clear tge gun and get back to it. With the others, they failed and weren't useable anymore. Now what?? You're screwed.I think it was a very fair test Eric and very well done, you never gave up on the gun and just kept givin' er hell. Great job!! Awesome gun.
i wonder how much of the problem was the ammo and not the gun. i'd think pof might supply some ammo so it would showcase their gun instead of looking unreliable with cheap ammo
That was goddamn impressive. 2700 rounds with pretty much nothing but remedial action. Lasted twice as long as anything else. Some of the coolest shit I've ever seen. I don't get what it is about some people, always gotta be like "Oh that ain't that great." That was excellent.
POF is BY FAR my favorite AR manufacturer. Keep your LaRue, keep your BCM, keep your Daniel Defense. POF has so many proven innovations that improve this platform that there really is no competition. The only discussion I'm willing to have, is who gets to be 2nd place.
I live next to a highway and mid summer with the windows open it's very peaceful to hear a car go by every now and then. Living next to this would be ten times better than currently living a mile away from the police shooting range, which they barely use ='[
PleaseDontWatchThese i think that way too there was lot less trouble with the shorter mags and none with the drums, but the long mags was most troubled of all
The gun was 100% failing due to improper pressure. The rate of fire in conjunction with the warping of the metal caused the pressure on the piston to be too low. Because of this, the buffer overpowered the piston and pressure. Plus realistically it isnt gonna matter. The rifling was nonexistent.
I feel like this gun was basically red lining, it never broke but was at its upper edge, the cool thing is that semi worked fine, so you could easily stay in the fight if you needed to
After a few 1000 rounds myself I wonder if you were getting "wolf" results and ot pof results. That gun kept hammering. Each time the bolt short stroked I thought it was done then it would take right off. The rate of fire sped back up and it kept rocking. Impressive to say the least
Well you have to keep in mind this is WAY above and beyond what the standard call to duty for this rifle would be. The fact it ran as long as it did, as well as it did, in these conditions, says more than a little good about it.
@@JerryMetal Someissues looked more like a mag feed issue since it ran fine in Semi auto. Also, a gun which could shoot 2500 rounds non stop without melting down or compleetly fucking up the barrel is insanely good.
I'd like to see a meltdown video on different gas piston AR's, like the LWRC IC A5, PWS Mk1 or even the Barrett REC7. It would be kinda cool to see how the different systems would fare with one another.
2 things would be cool to see with another POF 416. At the end of this test, if the rifle is select fire, to flip it to semi and see how long it would run until it broke broke, and to see how it’d operate. Second, do a full test in semi to see if the round increase before minor and major failure.

I'm sold, I'm going to pick up one of these now. Very impressed.
Unless you've got one of the ATF's Golden Tickets, I assume you mean you're going to pick up a POF P415, since our government doesn't trust common citizens with full auto weapons.
I own a P415, and it's a fantastic AR. Wouldn't trade it for any DI gun on the market.
let me ask you something, if the government says you can't even have your 415 then what? still law biding?
+ROBINSON4942 By the numbers 50 million (conservatively) in the US own 1 or more of 300 million+ firearms in the US. There is not enough Law Enforcement Officers, Military, Prison Space, or Budget to enforce even a partial "ban." What we the shooting public need to do is encourage people to take up shooting as a fun and practical activity that is also important to essential Liberty. The less insular and backbiting we act the more broad acceptance will force politicians to accept the realities. Like it or not Abortion, Gay Marriage, and Firearms are here to stay.
Aaron Orr Damn straight. There's going to be literal hell to pay if Hitlery thinks she can take away our guns like Australia did.
Dang everybody's gonna buy this rifle and the price is gonna shoot up..... Elections will make it worse.
Now imagine the open bolt lmg variant. That would run so long this would transition to a 1 hour long video or more.
Fun drinking game:
Take a shot every time he racks the charging handle.
Really truly impressive engineering that it ran so long
I really like the thermal camera!
The video represents data. POF is very happy.
It would be cool if you did an accuracy check at the beginning and end of your burn down tests...that way if it doesn't fail or it can still operate even marginally we can see the effects on accuracy the burn down
he commented that it shot 15ft groupings at 100 yards lol
There would be significant change in group size
I still love watching this meltdown! It really makes me want and respect Patriot Ordnance Factory! R.I.P. Frank
So after it overheats, it automatically went into burst mode for self-preservation...
:-D
Bolt action 2 round burst ar 15. None of these words ever belong together.
@@D1G1T4L1NF3RN0 What about fully semi automatic?
@@michaelblankenship7278
That could be one of a few things. An FRT, a Gat Crank, or a Bump Stock.
Wow. That was pretty damn impressive! Even a 30 second break and it would generally blow through the whole mag. That isn't a lot of cooling time. Now we know why they cost what they do.
Cheaper than a dd
Full auto is out..
Hold my be .... On second thought, imma need that..
I'm sure if you dumped 2700+rds of ammo in 20 min.. You got you a situation on your hands where a shortage of pee ain't a problem..
*THAT WAS ONE INSANE DEMONSTRATION OF THE BUILT IN QUALITY OF THE POF AND WE TRULY APPRECIATE IT!!* *WHAT YOU'VE PROVEN IS ITS STAMINA, DURABILITY AND QUALITY...WELL DONE IRAQVETERAN8888, WELL DONE INDEED!!*
WHY ALL CAPS?!
Why are you yelling at me sir?
Legend has it that he was never able kill the pile of dirt in front of him and it still haunts him to this day.....
I use these videos as background music around the house
Ridog
Are you kidding me
Same it's like Gun ASMR
Daniyal Khan this man doesnt gets it
Bet your neighbors love you when you accidentally put the volume on high late at night
The AR15 haters are hating hard right now... lol
Run this same test but with brass ammo. I will bet it will run even more than 3000 rounds with less stoppage.
Great video.
eiji81 A
I was thinking this same thing you just said the whole time
eiji81 .....exactly, well said!
I was thinking the same thing! This gun is a beast!
My thoughts exactly... And maybe a little wet. N polish the ramp if need be jd
take a shot every time he pulls the charging handle
Salty Popcorn. I tried it and died
Salty Popcorn now thats a nasty alcohol induced coma
I took shots of water
Reported for attempted murder 😂
Damn guy has almost 2.7 MILLION followers! I remember when 150k-200k was going on not long ago, or as it seems. Good job fellas! Patriot Ordinance Factory are some of the best for the money! LWRC is up there with them!
Tim Nope bet if he used mil-spec he could probably get through 2000 rounds before it started shooting sluggish
like he said it didn't operate at full capacity because the internals became very dirty and gunked up if you clean that gun it will work perfectly
When I first saw a POF AR a few years back I said it was my dream gun. This just reassures me that I need one!
This gun lasted longer than me....but that was true after the 43 second mark.
oof
krispewkreme good god🤣🤣🤣
I just spent 30 minutes seeing a guy shooting at nothing 😂
That’s what you eventually call semi-fully automatic. Incredible to watch and realize how much this firearm was able to withstand! 🇺🇸
@Iraqveteran8888 Can you do a Primary Weapons System MK1 Mod 2? I'm curious if their long stroke piston would out-last POF's robust design.
That was goddamn impressive. 2700 rounds with pretty much nothing but remedial action. Lasted twice as long as anything else. Some of the coolest shit I've ever seen. I don't get what it is about some people, always gotta be like "Oh that ain't that great." That was excellent.
Would love to see a review with highlights , giving details of all your Meltdowns , from worst results to ths Best results.
POF is BY FAR my favorite AR manufacturer. Keep your LaRue, keep your BCM, keep your Daniel Defense. POF has so many proven innovations that improve this platform that there really is no competition. The only discussion I'm willing to have, is who gets to be 2nd place.
Imagine being his neighbor and hearing this
I live next to a highway and mid summer with the windows open it's very peaceful to hear a car go by every now and then. Living next to this would be ten times better than currently living a mile away from the police shooting range, which they barely use ='[
Rodent problem solved
Id be his best friend
@Andre McGoo meaning???
We just need a grill, some beer, and some franks!
I would like it if you had different mags and brass 556 to see if the ammo or mags where causing the problem.
PleaseDontWatchThese if it can survive wolf ammo that well it will live with good ammo
PleaseDontWatchThese ...poly melts of cases causing sticking in the chaimber
PleaseDontWatchThese i think that way too there was lot less trouble with the shorter mags and none with the drums, but the long mags was most troubled of all
The gun was 100% failing due to improper pressure. The rate of fire in conjunction with the warping of the metal caused the pressure on the piston to be too low. Because of this, the buffer overpowered the piston and pressure. Plus realistically it isnt gonna matter. The rifling was nonexistent.
I agree it needs a new barrel.
This was a fantastic video. The only thing I would ask is a full teardown of the gun showing a bore camera shot, trigger group, bcg, etc.
Unbelievable. Really good quality.
Im really impressed.
I am thoroughly impressed. That is one tough weapon.
Published 2016 ! People still commenting on it 2019 !! IMPRESSIVE !!!
2020 and we still commenting 😂
B Airborn today be 2020
2020!
7/2020
People die in 2020
This is proof that you shouldn't waste your money on any other AR. Buy a POF from the start. It will out last any rifle on the market
But it keeps jamming all the time, right? According to the video.
Well you have to keep in mind this is WAY above and beyond what the standard call to duty for this rifle would be. The fact it ran as long as it did, as well as it did, in these conditions, says more than a little good about it.
That is actually a good thing given the circumstances.
@@JerryMetal Someissues looked more like a mag feed issue since it ran fine in Semi auto. Also, a gun which could shoot 2500 rounds non stop without melting down or compleetly fucking up the barrel is insanely good.
Also he is running cheap ammo
I'd like to see the rise of sales for POF after this video :D
Earned it in my book. That was truly impressive.
Andrew Schott You can say that again!
I'm in the market for an upper right now, I was looking at RRA .458, but I may just wait and save up for an upper from POF now...
I have a new P415 upper for sale. Message me if interested
The price went up.
I was on the fence about POF but not anymore. Cant wait to get one now.
Awesome!
great stuff. two ideas
1.) do a fal, g3, m14
2.) Make the cheapest ar possible and see how long it lasts
John Davis I agree with both ideas. I don't see a .308 going that far but still would be super cool to see their limits.
really like the battle rifle idea
i would love too se a G3/PTR91
Yeah, they should do those
cost of blasting 1000 rounds of.308 would be massive lol
“We can do this all day but I don’t think it’ll prove much more. We’ll keep running it” hahaha awesome
do a nerf meltdown
Are you kidding me? We need air gun meltdown
WHY?? xD
I think my finger will melt down first
They're not 5 years old or gay. So no
Nerf meltdown would be the battery running out 💀
Well, whenever I’m not broke, I’ll be sure to get my hands on a POF
I'd like to see a meltdown video on different gas piston AR's, like the LWRC IC A5, PWS Mk1 or even the Barrett REC7. It would be kinda cool to see how the different systems would fare with one another.
Swordsman18246 that would be awesome
Ruger SR556 and SR762 would be nice too!
I'd be really interested in the PWS, since that's the only long-stroke piston AR out there, and is pretty different from all the other systems.
Pof you have my undivided attention
Steve B i own the POF 308, i love it
Steve B
MADE IN PAKISTAN.
POF
PAKISTAN ORDINANCE FACTORY
Steve B cool name btw, sweet ar too
yup... that price tag is looking a little less steep.
Shaid Nawaz Nope wrong
"And today we will be using a Trajicon RMO for....nothing. LOL!!
Trijicon....sorry. lolol
MRO...
It's to test it for heat resistance, you nard
Tragicon... I like that
"And today we will be using a Trijicon RMO for....advertising.
2 things would be cool to see with another POF 416. At the end of this test, if the rifle is select fire, to flip it to semi and see how long it would run until it broke broke, and to see how it’d operate. Second, do a full test in semi to see if the round increase before minor and major failure.
