Shame you can't have a repeat of Liara vs. Ashley catfight from the original Mass Effect in the docking tube cutscene if Tali isn't there... "I'm so glad you decided to believe Shepard *this time*, Ashley." "Don't even go there, Liara."
One of the most amazing things about this is that they actually created all this dialogue that the majority of players would probably never hear (that goes for all the Not-Crewmates).
Even if just for one mission, I wish I could have Xen as a squadmate. Not only does she have mad hacker skillz, but she's a badass who soloed her way through a Geth Dreadnought and still beat you to the escape fighter.
Sir, we should start recording lines for Tali's replacement. No, that' won't be necessary. What? Why not? No one would let Tali die. What are you, crazy?
While I love Xen and lament we didn't see more of her, I'm glad that was deleted. She actually had the best plan (regain control of all geth and use them against threats, including the Reapers) and what she would have been depicted as doing in that mission would, ultimately, have been proven to be the correct course of action. Given enough opportunity, she could have potentially unlocked the true nature of the Citadel and saved everyone lots of headaches!
I’ve played this trilogy countless times these last ten years, it’s like an old friend to me and I’m still finding out new things about it. Never even knew this was an option. Props to BioWare for making this game one of those rare gifts that keeps on giving.
I would have had Han Garrel sent to the brig for what he did. The mission objective was: Await reaper signal shut down and evacuate Quarian Fleet. The moment he opened fire on that dreadnaught was a breach of alliance imho and warranted a court marshall
Shepard could do no such thing. He holds no rank in the quarian fleet. Personally, my Shepard agrees with him: It was the single most dangerous threat to the quarian ships and even being able to just disable it WOULD have been an opportunity which was foolish to ignore.
+Xenomorphine "Single most dangerous thing to the Quarian fleet" Mass Effect Codex. Due to the Geth not being a council race, they are not bound by the Treaty of Farixen. The Geth have as many Dreadnoughts as the Turians. Turians have 39 by Mass Effect 3. Quarians would have to deal with 30+ more dreadnoughts. They would have been fucked anyways wether they destroy that dreadnought or not.
Xenomorphine actually, Garrel fired on the Human Systems Alliance Representative to the Galactic Council. By ME3 you are given full authority as the HSA representative in all negotiations. Attack a DISABLED vessel with said representative on board constitutes an act of war on the HSA
Irrelevant, Wave. It was the ship they TELL YOU was responsible for actively decimating their fleet at the time in question. The others could potentially be dealt with at a later time. That was the one which was the priority threat. That's like saying 'Return Of The Jedi' shouldn't have depicted the Alliance going after the second Death Star, simply because the Imperial Navy still out-numbered them, regardless. These matters are all about threat prioritisation. D Mar: Also irrelevant. That's like saying if an American diplomat had been on the Bismarck in World War Two, the Royal Navy would have politely gone, "Gosh, we shouldn't do that," instead of prosecuting the attack and sinking her.
+Xenomorphine No it is not "Irrelevant" Han Garrel ultimately flipped a coin in deciding the fate of the Entire Quarian Fleet that day. It paid off, but it could have potentially wiped the Quarian fleet off the map. The entire Quarian Miliatary Live ships were doing 0 damage to the dreadnought, what if 1 other dreadnought just came around at the right time? Or what if the Geth dreadnought had enough time to reboot itself? The actual source of the Reaper Code was not on the Dreadnought, it was the Reaper down on Rannoch. Garrel was given a chance to go run and save his people, but he acted arrogant and decided to risk it. At the time, those 30+ dreadnoughts were as powerful as the single dreadnought that the entire quarian fleet couldn't even scratch. The Quarians were fighting a losing battle from the start. And if Shepard was killed in that single dreadnought, the Quarian Race would have been fucked in the end. The entire Quarian fleet couldn't even destroy a Destroyer Class Reaper, but in the codex it was stated that a single cruiser could easily destroy a destroyer. So much for Dreadnought caliber weaponry.
I know it was purely out of curiosity but the moment at 7:40 somehow doesn’t work very well without Tali (I think those who by the end of ME2 romance Tali will understand me)
i know it been awhile but on my run of ME2 i lost loyality with jack and she dropped her biotic shield which caused Tali to get captured by the seeker swarms.
I got this far during my very FIRST playthrough with Mass Effect, I said screw it and started all over again and made DAMN sure that Tali survived the Suicide Mission. It was worth the restart on Mass Effect 2 just to have her with me.
Honestly, I would never let Garrus and Tali die, they stood by you when no one else did, and they are good friends, so I save them every time Paragon forever!
Does anyone know why Tali is randomly dead in my game? She survived ME2, with Zaeed and Grunt dying. I noticed earlier Grunt's name was on the memorial wall, but instead of Zaeed's name, Tali's was. I thought it was a minor glitch and thought little of it, but this is how my mission went, so I'm assuming she's dead on my save somehow. This is really rustling my jimmies.
Xen actually joins your squad? Does it say what class she's meant to be? Engineer? Something else? I really wish there had been more opportunities to gain her respect/agree with/show support for her.
Everything about Geth looks adorable to me xD Seriously though, I love the designs for Geth technology. The Bioware Art team has done an amazing job to create the alien, high-tech visualization of the Geth.
In my opinion, calling Garrel out as reckless should not be a Renegade option. I did that first time I did that mission and was surprised I got Renegade points for calling a violent idiot a violent idiot.
Like everything, the Tali/Xen arc has 2 sides. Tali: cute, humorous, a bit lyrical but useless in combat unless you plan to invest 100000 credits into shotgun upgrades and combat drones. Very delicate, interesting and nimble as a personality, but has severe daddy issues and trust issues after the trial. If you like Tali, you´ve probably picked Triss in Witcher 3. Xen: stylish, sense of humour lost to the life of challenge and hardship, fully formed both physically and personally. Pretty universal in combat and impressive with tech, charismatic and refreshingly, mysteriously cold. An impressive smart bitch. If you like Xen, you´ve probably picked Yen in Witcher 3.
In my original personal canon save Tali died during the SM so I got Xen, then I got Tali in my alternate playthrough with my second save where Tali is alive. Man, Tali felt useless next to Xen. She has Overload, Cryo Blast, and Sticky Grenades and also she uses a Sniper Rifle and Shotguns. Way better than Tali.
"Admiral Koris sacrificed his ship" Let us all bow our heads in remembrance of the Qwib Qwib.
Truly a great name to remember.
The Qwib Qwib will be remembered.
At least it wasn't the Defrahnz or the Iktomi. ;D
Let's make sure the history never forgets the name...QWIB-QWIB...
Meanwhile rest of the quarian admirality dies in laughter.....
Much like how the death of Garrus is preposterous, the death of Tali is inconceivable.
Of course!
I wish BioWare didn’t hate Tali so much
God, she is so Morrigan. Not just in voice, but the two characters are so similar.
Shame you can't have a repeat of Liara vs. Ashley catfight from the original Mass Effect in the docking tube cutscene if Tali isn't there...
"I'm so glad you decided to believe Shepard *this time*, Ashley."
"Don't even go there, Liara."
One of the most amazing things about this is that they actually created all this dialogue that the majority of players would probably never hear (that goes for all the Not-Crewmates).
aww, I thought she'd be a temporary squad member
If you combine voice, body, and outfit, I've always argued that Xen's the hottest quarian in the game.
Definitely
XEN DISAPPROVES (-5)
That's a nice one, dude 😂
It just doesn't feel the same without Tali...
I will never let Tali or Garrus die
I wish I could kill Liara though
Even if just for one mission, I wish I could have Xen as a squadmate. Not only does she have mad hacker skillz, but she's a badass who soloed her way through a Geth Dreadnought and still beat you to the escape fighter.
That Arc Pistol really kicks ass, though.
Sir, we should start recording lines for Tali's replacement.
No, that' won't be necessary.
What? Why not?
No one would let Tali die. What are you, crazy?
-But sir it's claudia black....
-Shit...
I ain’t letting Tali die she’s best girl
That’s right. You need Tali and Legion alive to broker peace.
No option to give xen a "hull breach"? it would be totally worth it.
Claudia Black! She plays Vala Mal'Doran is Stargate SG-1!
And Aeryn in Farscape!
Onemaster She's also Chloe Frazer in Uncharted 2 and 3 and she's in an episode of Rick and Morty as well.
needamuffin She's the leader of the female Gazorpazorpian society.
There was supposed to be a mission/side mission that revolved around Xen going nuts, but they cut it.
While I love Xen and lament we didn't see more of her, I'm glad that was deleted. She actually had the best plan (regain control of all geth and use them against threats, including the Reapers) and what she would have been depicted as doing in that mission would, ultimately, have been proven to be the correct course of action. Loghain and Morrigan pretty much have the same personality as Gerrel and Xen
nice casting ;)

"Morrigan AKA Admiral Xen" XXĐĐĐ. That's brilliant x'D.
I would have had Han Garrel sent to the brig for what he did.

It's Loghain!
I knew I recognised his voice!
Still amazed admiral xen is the same voice of Morrigan.
I guess it fits.
No, Liara gets most of his lines on Palavan's moon
Bioware didn't even dare to attempt "replacing" Garrus. Imagine the unfair judgment received by the replacement character :D
I know it was purely out of curiosity but the moment at 7:40 somehow doesn’t work very well without Tali (I think those who by the end of ME2 romance Tali will understand me)
Sounds like Aryn's relapsed and gone full-blown Peacekeeper.
Anyone who actually let Tali die on purpose is horrible, horrible monster
i know it been awhile but on my run of ME2 i lost loyality with jack and she dropped her biotic shield which caused Tali to get captured by the seeker swarms.
@@celtickiller01 That fucking bitch.
Lol I love how Legion takes a moment to ask of Shepard has comfortable seating requirements :)
She can make Geth dance. Nice.
I mean I do love Claudia Black. Not that I ever wanna play ME3 without Tali, but I loved her in Farscape as Aryn Soon
I got this far during my very FIRST playthrough with Mass Effect, I said screw it and started all over again and made DAMN sure that Tali survived the Suicide Mission. It was worth the restart on Mass Effect 2 just to have her with me.
It would have been interesting if you had EDI for this run, to see how they all reacted towards one another with tali dead and with her replacement.
Honestly, I would never let Garrus and Tali die, they stood by you when no one else did, and they are good friends, so I save them every time
Paragon forever!
its just not the same without Tali. Tali Fan for life
Does anyone know why Tali is randomly dead in my game? She survived ME2, with Zaeed and Grunt dying. I noticed earlier Grunt's name was on the memorial wall, but instead of Zaeed's name, Tali's was. I thought it was a minor glitch and thought little of it, but this is how my mission went, so I'm assuming she's dead on my save somehow. This is really rustling my jimmies.
Thanks! If i one day find myself in a field of Fluffy Ninja Llamas you would still totally be my favourite :D
I prefer Tali
His name’s Legion only if he joined your crew in ME2 (so you need to import your ME2 save). It’s logical since it’s EDI who named Legion.
Xen actually joins your squad? Does it say what class she's meant to be? Engineer? Something else?
I really wish there had been more opportunities to gain her respect/agree with/show support for her.
I want to see Geth dance :)
Xen as a squad mate... This somehow makes me almost regret Tali surviving in the previous game.
Everything about Geth looks adorable to me xD
Seriously though, I love the designs for Geth technology. The Bioware Art team has done an amazing job to create the alien, high-tech visualization of the Geth.
Admiral Xen does pretty much have the same/similar personality as Morrigan, hehe.
Mass Effect is not right without your crew. This is the only way I wantvto ever experience what could be.
That said, a bit before the final mission you get a convo between Tali and Shep about garrus.
"Legion is my friend" Damn straight.
In my opinion, calling Garrel out as reckless should not be a Renegade option. I did that first time I did that mission and was surprised I got Renegade points for calling a violent idiot a violent idiot.
Took the words out of my mouth. I was thinking the same thing
That's what I assumed, but I don't recall being able to see which abilities she used, as Dochirin wrote, above.
Loads of people really seem to hate Xen and Gerrel, I think they're both pretty cool
lol at garrus "Quarian Bastards"
Good to have morrigan back even though im sad you let tali die
If you find it, please share the link
Anyone else think the geth fighter looks adorable?
if it helps any Han Gerrel is also the Voice for Loghain
i dont see morrigan i see vala.
Like everything, the Tali/Xen arc has 2 sides.
Tali: cute, humorous, a bit lyrical but useless in combat unless you plan to invest 100000 credits into shotgun upgrades and combat drones. no, Xen does not join you, she only communicates thru radio
No, unfortunately I don’t have that save.
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!
GAWD, while I love Tali and Xen may be a hell of a Quarian BITCH! I do love Claudia Black's voice acting (Yes, I am a Morrigan lover)
Oo really? Any chance of seeing the vids for Liara-replacement convos? *puppy dog eyes*
does garrus have a replacement?
"Daro" on elvish means "Descend", and thats all, just dumb fact.
Xen's not all the way sane, is she?
You let Tali DIE??? You Bosh'tet!
How come when you meet Legion his name is only Geth VI not Legion (I played ME2 on PC and I have ME3 on Xbox)
Can you upload Legion Assassin?
So you let tali die but not kaidin
Claudia Black gets some of the best voice roles
Make one for edi with this run! or better yet! ALL SQUAD MEMBERS!
what are you talking about ??
Really? Ohh I guess I could do that
Nope.
NO
Hahaha XD Thank you so much ^^ Here’s the link: /watch?v=1Lz96_xkDuw
