forrestgumball I'm having a hard time getting 16 people in sanctuary :L Is there a trick to it? Or just hoping eligible wanderer AI walks near the signal?
Why does everybody think that walls must always cover the center of settlement? Walls do work, that if only we think outside the box. First thing about building walls is to avoid the spawn points and the center of the settlement. Attackers always appear at spawn points then move to the center of the settlement, that is where the workbench located. Sometimes when we arrive late, the game will spawn the attackers in the center of the settlement (nearby the workbench). Walls will work well If we custom build houses and cover them with walls away from the center of settlement.
Outstanding, wiring it must have been a nightmare. I used the same "screened windows " on my build and I know how insanely hard on the ps4 they are. Well done sir
With or without mods, this guy still made an awesome settlement that deserves some attention. I've seen a lot of sanctuary's, but this one is definitely on the top.
This build is incredible, and I want to do something like it myself but I don't know if I have the patience. It looks pretty resource intensive so a lot of farming would be required. Hats off to you sir
@Abaddon Agent dude maybe do some simple research, saying bs like this is 100% mods when there has been an easy settlement size cap glitch in the game for literally years now and it never got patched. I've never moded fallout4 and my settlements are all this big
I could be wrong but It seems like during your tour of your absolutely amazing settlement build, you concentrated on that bloody pain in the arse of a fallen tree that's half in half out of the construction area. Having opted for a similar build to yours with the walls idea (but nowhere near this good), I feel your pain. Getting a wall to behave with that thing is as hard as getting Dogmeat to stop running into your line of fire and blocking doorways. Epic build so far man. Love the attention to detail such as the rules and the exhibited old sanctuary hills sign at one entrance and the pile of dead bodies in front of the trespassers will be shot sign at the other. Can't wait to see what you have lined up for the interior which looks like it's on the way already.
Lmao! I didn’t realise that at the time Aswell. I just remember this being a complete pain in the arse and that tree causing a lot of rage. I don’t think many people realise I was actually planning on building the entire sanctuary and not just the wall part but my PS4 just couldn’t handle the pressure. I hope to one day go back to it and build it all!
Raider leader: I heard about a place named Santuary hills in the north, we should go and raider the sh*t out of them! Group of Raiders: YES! WOOHOOO!! YES!!! We come here to negotiate our surrender and live in peace! Cannybearsed: Not on my watch! Raiders ghosts: We should have brought more legendarys Raider leader ghost: shut up dave! Cannybearsed: Oh, look! A legendary leather leg!
I spent hours getting the perfect decoration and layout in my little Home Plate apartment in Diamond City, I can't imagine the time and effort that went into this. Wow. So clean looking too.
You crazy beautiful brother !!! That's a whole lotta work you put into it, really appreciate it. One thing that I may be afraid of, though, is settlers getting stuck inside some of the walls... and by seeing the scale of your build... it's going to be a pain in the arse to find them if they get stuck. Also in terms of immersion I would've used some of the concrete with grill at the river level, since the river can't float through straight concrete to your water pumps. But I'm abit crazy too so you can imagine I'd do that. Other than that, GG, that took some serious construction. And some more turrents won't hurt, more turrents are always welcome, at the bridge and maybe at the back entrance towards the Vault. GG MAN ;)
Lord ZeRMoN Seternum cheers man! I'm still building sanctuary, it's my ultimate build I want to spend a good while on as I play the game, but that's a really good idea actually, I'll see if I can add it on, as for turrets I'm unsure of adding more will make my game lag more, it lags a little here and there but nothing to stop you playing, I expect it to get crazy laggy once I start on the inside, hoping there's a way to transfer a ps4 save to PC before then lmao, I agree though, I like realism in my builds, something that looks possible instead of floating fences and foundations etc, makes me cringe lol
Lemon Chief lmao I don't usually cheat in games, it ruins it for me, one of the reasons I don't overly enjoy playing it on PC, because I know I could just type in a console command and have everything I'm spending hours looking for, it takes the fun out of it for me, however I only cheated with materials and the settlement size capacity, because I like to build things, I don't want it to take me all day to gather enough steel trays for me to build a wall, it just isn't fun for me.
NexusWarior211 Definitely makes me feel as if I treated my Sanctuary rather lazily... up until 10 minutes ago I was really proud. I agree though great job.
Very nice, I've hit the build limit on mine, used lots of concrete though, not as much as you did, think the vault guard posts fit in better with the concrete theme, so changed all mine, used scaffolds for the security to put the guns etc on
Really like the design and plus the inside I really like for some reason it actually looks like a real nuke hit it inside cause of the grass and stuff really love this base and i think you should do more

This is amazing. I would have dropped a brick if you'd had Mama Murphy sitting in her chair manning the Radio Room. I'd like to see a walkaround of the outside walls with Build Mode turned on, so we can see how close you came to and how you skirted the green borders of the build area. Fantastic work.
malataur haha that's a good idea i didn't think of that, I was thinking about doing that actually, a lot of people wanting tutorials, but it would take too long and I genuinely can't remember how I done it lmao, so I was going to make a video of me in build mode dissembling some things so people can maybe work it out for themselves
Holy crap man! I just started FO4 and was browsing for construction inspiration when i stumbled on this. You sir, have extreme talent and patience! One question though, how did you get the walls through the buildings and that one fallen tree near the back? I have plans for Sanctuary and any advice would be helpful! Again, amazing build!
Sorry I never got back to you mate, I have just got access to this account again and I can’t believe how popular the video is! I spent a lot of hours messing around with clipping. DreamVikings yep. Walls only work if you're in the settlement as the attack happens, which is rare. Looks cool, but doesn't really work.

GradCLVZ yeah the enemies only come from outside if you're there and then it doesn't matter really
it's not a bug, it's a feature!

Incredible! Cant imagine how many hours were put into this. Crazy good construction, electricity, security, etc. Great job!
I don't care about hours, I'm thinking about how much steel and concrete went into this.

Amazing build around Sanctuary. Nicely done!
"What do mean nobody has any concrete? Where did all the friggin' concrete go?"
"Sanctuary Hills, sir."
Good job dude. Sanctuary is looking awesome!

basically it is not a mod but it is a glitch :) It has to do with the weapons which can minimize the size capacity
