Love seeing new settlement content for Fallout 4 - I recently got back into the game after the TV show and been really enjoying it and the settlement building

I know it's an older vid but I love this series man I can't wait for some more builds. Keep up the good work 💪 the slow tours where you walk through are great too it gives a good idea of how you've built it. Alot of other builders do a really fast walk through and you don't have time to take in how they have done it
This Minutemen center and the house with 2 shops are my favorites of this series.
The generator in the ice box is gold! I'll be using that for sure.

Great vid. Now I can finally clean up my settlements. To your comment about the series, I'm so happy they made it the way they did. Someone asked me what I thought about it and I said "It's exactly what I wanted a live action Fallout to be. Still absolutely absurd and followed the source material quite well

how do you get train cars as a building option?
The open sign is a really tiny but fun touch for that doorway.
No matter how many playthroughs I do, I almost always turn the foundation to the left of the garage into a beer garden and outdoor bar. It almost always lends itself perfectly for that purpose... And the residents always collect there on their own when it's done

It’s kind of bonkers how the vanilla game just expects you to live in the bombed out houses.
Like, why can’t we just fix the roofs and walls as they are, without messing around clipping stuff through walls.

As long as you always remember to make a quick save right before you do your rug and pillar glitch movements you will avoid 99% of frustrations :)
Advice to all, not the video creator who clearly is a pro at this stuff lol. Never considered a box car roof shell before. Thanks for the inspiration!

nice ave just recently started my fallout 4, 2 week phase of building
I'm playing on PS4 and can't get the rug glitch to work with walls. It's just red anywhere I try to place it. Nice idea with the train carts. I might just use that on a slab of concrete.
I'm gonna be venturing back into 4 soon and I'm excited to do more building than I did on my first run throughs of the game.
Avoid building (or even unlocking) homeplate until near endgame or after endgame. The internal cell and all it's npc pathing is tied in to all other internal cells in the game. So the more stuff you build at Home Plate, the more invisible obstructions you create that mess with the scripting of any missions set indoors!

@@Danbotologyis this true? That seems...utterly ridiculous 😂 how does one internal cell effect all the others? How do Bethesda get so many things right but at the same time get so many things wrong 😅

Instead of using the rug you can use a concrete pillar so you can more easily control the height
Is anyone else having trouble with this one? I tried both the rug and pillar glitch and no matter what I can't seem to get it to turn green

It won’t let me put walls on the roof? Had to do a pillar glitch to add walls to the front of the building where there’s no platform
How did you get the boxcar blueprints?
Hey I used your scaffolding rooftop fix idea but I basically did it going up and down to both sides and rug glitch it in. It comes in perfectly! Give it a try

Can you build a Defense wall maybe at the and of restoring Sanctuary?
I admire your creativity. The only reason that I don't like this as a roof fix is realism. Like, who got the crane and lifted all that mess up there? Just my own personal thing, I like to make my settlements look like they were built by the settlers using what they have available.

I understand that you don’t want to use mods but I have to say those scrubby bushes and grass patches irritate the heck out of me so I use STS in my game to get rid of all the muck! Love the Orange and blue trailer style roof I use them a lot for dormitory space.
Spent 4 hours trying to place the rug glitch but couldn’t build any walls on the side only front and back
"Fixed the Leak" Inb4 the whole building collapses from the weight

but I would love for you to redo all the houses with the floor fixed too
it looks awesome...but why not make the 2nd floor functional? Seems like wasted space. Also, using floors as the roof means anyone sleeping in that house will be unhappy, right?
can you download the DLCs needed for this for free?
Hopefully the massive update nr end of April either doesn't remove the rig glitch, or they make it so it is no longer needed.
No matter how I angle this it does not let me put it on the roof 😭😭
if ur on pc, stack 2 carpets ontop of eachother to make it easier to see when its on, this took me hours to figure out u need to hold the select button (when picking up the carpet) for like 5 seconds
@@McNastyness101 Rug glitch just seems to have stopped working altogether. Won’t let me merge anything into a wall, roof, or floor 😭

Have spent nearly 12 hours trying this build and nothing works. No idea how you got the roof there. It NEVER changes off red. Have also tried pillar, pillar and mat, extra spacing floors between stairs and roof, stairs in different spot, scraping everything in the house. Nothing works and this is the only one of your builds that i can't get.
