hello, I can't lower or raise the brightness of the keyboard with the fn + keys and neither with the fn - keys, nor deactivate them completely, before it worked. Is there any solution?

Hello, How do you update the BIOS of this laptop? i just got mine yesterday and the Gigabyte control center app is giving me problems and for all that i read one of the solutions is to update the BIOS

did you ever find a solution? there is a tool to update the bios on the gigabyte website. I tried this but it didn't actually update it. was wondering if maye theres a setting in the bios GUI that I need to be careful about and maybe toggle on or off.
hey bud I am struggling with with gsync that is not showing on my Nvidia Control Panel, I bought a GSync Compatible Monitor and its Displayport but now it only shows the 3D settings. I saw a vid saying that we most change on Bios the graphic card to the rtx we have. But on this laptop it is impossible to access to those options. As you said on this video it is lacking of info. Any idea if such thing is possible?

@@rickstechrepairs After lots of trie outs I just find out that I just needed an USB C adapter for the Display Port, it took just 200ms for the damn feature to pop out on NVidia control panel. Did not worked with a regular DP and less HDMI. But thanks for the reply, hope this may help someone else

Hi! After enabling flexicharger, my laptop shows that it's charging but the percentage isn't increasing but when I remove the charger, it is decreasing normally. Is there a way to fix this? Or shouldn't I just disable flexicharger? Thank you!

If you don't know what to change in the bios you probably don't need to go there or change anything

nope, i didnt have a need to have an alternative way to switch it on

yes, i suspect that the 5800H would be more powerful than the i5 but also be better battery and temps
Hello, I bought this laptop a few days ago, I wanted to ask you what storage is going to stop at the 500gb ssd? It is supposed to come with a 16gb ram memory that does not locate my laptop or in the bios it comes out, it is like something useless to have 16 GB without being able to save anything there so I am thinking of buying a new ssd with 1tb to store the games there and from step to see if those 16 gb of ram is that they are misplaced and I do not read them sorry for my bad English and if you could answer me about what is happening, thank you
500GB is an ok amount of storage, but i went with having a 1TB SSD installed
I would go with 16GB of Ram for general use and gaming,
if you want to play call of duty warzone i would upgrade to 32GB

I have an A5 X1 (5900HX) but BIOS is the same. Do you know how I can enable my ram to run at 3200MHz as opposed to 2667MHz? 5900HX can support 3200MHz, and the 16GB kit that it came with was running at 3200MHz. Now I upgraded to a kit of Crucial Ballistix 2x16GB and it won't run at the rated speed of 3200MHz.

@@rickstechrepairs All good, thanks though. What I found out is that because these laptops don't have the ability to enable XMP, JEDEC of ram has to be 3200MHz right out of the box. This means these laptops do support 3200MHz but only with a kit that has higher timings. Short of it is I gotta get a new kit lol
Do you think I should get the Dell G7700 which is i7 10750h and Rtx 2070 max p(300hz), or Gigabyte A5 ryzen 7 5800h(240hz), or Alienware m15 R3 rtx 2070 not the super i7 10750h (144hz)

Sounds like you need to replace the nvme drive in the laptop and reinstall windows

@@slimborjini22 laptop display is connected to intel uhd graphics, that's where u should customize the settings... nvidia control panel will only show the other settings if you connect your laptop to an external monitor... cheers
hello very good video, I have a question. The default memories are at a frequency of 2993Mhz. I bought a 3200Mhz Xpg kit , but when I install them they go to 2666Mhz.
Do you know how to increase the default frequency?

That would be cool if somebody figures out how to flash the Bios for this thing if its even possible.
it would be possible, attach an external eeprom flasher directly to the chip on the mainboard.. but cooling isnt made to handle the extra wattage

I just read a review on this laptop that said they traced issues with the CPU throttling while running 3D applications back to the BIOS on any version after FB03. Is this something you could confirm?

@@dannyho9076 download the bios file then extract it to ur formated usb, then go to folder FB03 in that usb and run NH5xHH03.exe. have a good day

Hello guys im a boomer at this kind of stuff but a friend of mine just bought one of these and he is just crying over the fact his keyboard backlight is just blue and the ad on the website says it have 15 different colors any help on how to change it? on the gigabyte G5 Support page there is a download page for software
you will need to download the control software, which will let you change the colour

Loool I am going through that at the moment, in that bios there is no part to update it, and the apps do not help much, I get an error in the @bios, were you able to somehow?
@@ASD-kz8rs Sorry took a long time. IIRC I am pretty sure all I did was run the program from the desktop. It was much simpler than I originally thought.

@@shava3683 nope. High temps were the reason I wanted to undervolt and I just disabled the turbo and that did the job. CPU is i5-1400h.

Change boot options in the bios to have USB HDD as the first one

cant recall if it just wasnt formatted correctly or what but if I remember correctly I got a new one and it worked in that one
