    The problem with this tool is the plate used to push against the bearing has the lip a bit too deep, as you stated, and hence restricts pushing the bearing in completely. I reduced the lip by about 1mm, which gave sufficient clearance to remove it after the bearing was in fully.

    Great video as ever Chazz - Just a quick tip if you are ever doing the job again, sweet talk the missus into letting you put the new hubs in the freezer the night before you fit them, contracts the metal and makes 'em go in easier - Having said that, the weather we have been having lately, just chuck 'em in the garden overnight...😗

    Good job. Its all a learning curve, I bet you could do the other side now in less than half the time. Just one tip, copper grease is not a very good lubricant its an anti-sieze its much better to use a moly grease like CV grease for applications like puller threads it would of also worked well on the splines on the driveshaft helping stop wear and making removal easier next time.

    I have a galaxy 2007, after seeing this I'm buying that tool. What a gem!...... This is the post I put a few days ago. How having bought the tool and try to use it I found that the black ring wouldn't go between the back of my old hub and the knuckle, I have message the seller in case they've changed the design in some way and it now doesn't but as you have had no reply....
    I now have my car in pieces and no way of removing my old wheel bearing I can't add a photo on here otherwise I would have done

    Would this kit work with a mk3 mondeo?

  • @gilleskirch7403
    @gilleskirch7403 Год назад +1

    You inserted the threaded rod the wrong way. The sleeve must be mount from the back and not on the front.And you have more power when you push and not pull your ratchet. :- ) but these bearings are quite firmly,just changed 2 bearings on a S-Max (343.000km) with this tool kit wich ist brilliant. But i removed the knuckle completely and to properly clamp it in a vise.
    Anyway, good job. (Y)

    • @adamdolezal4898

      You have more strength pulling ratchet upwards than pushing.

    • @adamdolezal4898
      @adamdolezal4898 8 месяцев назад +1

      You broke the abs sensor, forgot to plug abs sensor, you damaged wiring, you did not press bearing far enough so abs sensor could get signal from magnetic ring on bearing…or maybe you just turned ignition on while having abs sensor disconnected and it remembers fault code…
      There are many options, let us know what it was :)
