Hopefully everything makes sense! Once you do it will all make sense and is super easy. I know it can be confusing the first time you try to do this
Thank you, you saved me, I'm just triying to run e-fans with the factory ecu and to ignore post cat o2 sensor in my 2001 S10 Blazer, the github was the answer, thanks again!
This really helped me to understand thank you.
Thank you I'm teaching my self an you've been great
Rock on! glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for helping my quest to smoke more electronics ..
HAHA always happy to be an enabler.
Thanks for posting this. I can't seem to get tunnerpro to work. I get checksum error when saving bins. Tried 3 versions of tunnerpro. Same error re-saving virgin file no changes. Thanks
I'd say try the gearhead efi forum they will probably be able to help
Hey Dude, i got a similar/same error, "Error, some checksum files may need up dating. Please check checksum files etc.
Rouku Y gave me a tinytuner programmer similar to tunerpro and it supposedly fixes checksum errors. search out rouku y on reddit or github or gimme your email and i can maybe send it to you.
FYI, im still skeptical and havent wrote this to my Pcm yet. Still waiting on cooling system parts before i can drive my car anyways so i started it as is . Apparently vats musta already been removed as it ran for over 5 minutes.

i need your help. when i go on github for xdfs i get a page with a list of code in text format. how do i convert the text into an xdf file? i dont have this issue when it comes to downloading bins from github.
There really seems to be no option to download xdf from bored truck owner's. Just file contents are listed as code. Do I have to copy the contents and make my own?
GitHub can be weird. If you install git on your computer you can use that to download stuff that doesn't offer a download button on GitHub. I'm not the best person to explain how to use github I always screw it up when I try to do a push or something
I have the same 9405 os, want to use a 7603 os but is it possible to switch to DBC in tunerpro with the xdf for for 7603? I'm running an express van motor 6.0 , 4l80e,DBC , on a p59 pcm and need to delete vats . Thanks 👍
Do they have xdf files for ls turbo builds? This is all new to me.
Is their a way to find xdf files for ford f-150?
iam loking xdf 1nzfe engine
ok fix until broken dude so ive got theOBD2 LX. trying to remove VATs and enable fans for 2002 5.3L LS/vortec with th350 tranny
my pcm says ser. no. 1220411on it. Got a OBD2 stand alone harness made up attached to my pcm[wires:1,19, 20, 58on blue]
Installed LsDroid , neither android phone would register it .
now ive got tunerpro installed and cant find proper xdf file for 1220411pcm
even if i find xdf file what interfaces with the bluetooth Obd2 dongle?
is there a method to use desktop bluetooth directly w/o a stupid android interface shuffling files bank n forth?
maybe i shudda just bought Hp tuners ?
ive been at this for 6 effing hrs with only a dinner break....need a beer break i think!
yes PCM hammer works on the pc with your dongle. DXF is based on your OS version not PCM version. You will get your OS version when you dump the pcm
@@FixedUntilBroken oh, ok, thanks for the tip. my OS ID is 12212156 according to pcm hammer.
that should give me a bit more confidence im choosing right XDF files
@@FixedUntilBroken foound the Boredtruckowners Xdf files but unsure how to download? do i need to be a member like that gearhead efi forum?
github.com/BoredTruckOwner/LS_Based_Engine_Repository/tree/809be05144d82930dd31e572c1def18cfa63182c/.XDF%20Files/P01_512Kb
ok i got a 2156 XDF for tunerpro and was able to read entire pcm with PcmHammer and save as stock bin. then i used TunerPro to delete VATs, and enable 2 electric fans to come on at 210/215 and go off at 190 but when i went to save it as modified bin file, it saved, but it gave me some error code saying some checksum files may be missing.
what does that mean?
@@ponyboykurtis4645 you found a way around the checksum error? Please and thanks
If you want to make a pcm from scratch do you install a new bin file first. For example if I want to used it for testing engines without vats
Depends. Normally no but if the osid you have doesn't have xdf then yes.
Have you tried deleting vats with hp tuner savin the file and then write it with ls Droid. You think it can work?
Hp tuners doesn't save bins from my understanding. I've never used hp tuners or efi live though
Hp tuners stopped saving as .bin, years ago. It had something to do with people hacking tunes, from what I understand.
Just starting my research. Don’t even have my bench harness built yet. Would you mind sharing your user name on GitHub and GearHeads-EFI? TIA
I'm i the first one watching this ty
No problem.
I tried to join on this and i cant ... Need time to accept you and send you email?
