Most TV repair shops closed down several years ago as new TV prices dropped and cost of repair increased. TVs have become disposable technology to most people. However, they really aren't all that hard to repair and it costs much less than you think! This video walks you through how to diagnose an issue with no power.

Hey do you know anything about a hitachi flat screen tv mine doesn’t turn on I made sure the cord worked I took the back off and I’m clueless as of what’s the power board? The light doesn’t blink at all when plugging the tv in and trying to turn it on
Interesting. Any hints for me regarding tv won’t come on - red power light lower right hand corner is red when power off. Turn power on and the light ‘normally’ flashes a few seconds then tv comes on and red light goes out. However, when turn tv on, red light flashes on & off forever and tv doesn’t come on. Tks, Bill

The power cord had a bare spot( a mouse chewed it,)I repaired that. The power come on (green light,then goes to red) where it goes to power board a small black box that clicks as it shuts down . There is a 250v buses style fuse above connection wire. Would it be box or fuse that is bad?? Can either replaced??
Btw it was internal bare spot not removable cord. For some reason/ unknown the label has been torn off so I can't get model / serial number. Also $$ are very hard to come by this being the reason for my attempt to dy The TV is a Sony . Was seldom used by my old boss. Hrs are low

I am skilled at soldering but I'm clueless as to find which parts need to be removed and resoldered back on.

Not that I’m aware of. It’s too expensive.
