Great video, thanks. Hit by lightning and the fuse was blown on the power board, so I will get a new board and hope that’s it. Thanks again

I have a Phillips 43" flat screen smart TV that was on a surge protector along with my internet modem and Amazon Firestick. Lighting only got the TV? Surge protector still works fine and so does the other two products. What does it sound like to you?

What if the fuse is blown? Do you think just replacing that will work?
Barbara Hammond A blown fuse is the best case scenario. That means it did its job to protect the rest of the components.
my tv was damaged by lightning through lan wire of internet and there is no power on standby as well wha do you think is it main board gone or power board gone ?

I have a Vizio E420-A0 that was at my VFW and was struck by lightning. The power turns on but you can only see the backlighting. I replaced the main board and power supply board with no luck. Could the screen just be burnt out and is there a way to know for sure? Thanks for your help!
There is no way to know for sure without testing individual components.
My TV got strucked by lightning. The power board got fried, it has black marks on it. I'm done replacing the power boarding and still there is no power and no standby light. I tested the power board and it was showing the correct voltages. Could it be the main board that also needs replacement?

Marcus Barnes TVs have capacitors which store energy. They don’t discharge when the TV is powered off or unplugged. They can still provide a fatal shock.
Didn’t show much about fixing the tv

TVS 4k are only 198 at wal mart at this point. they go in the trash . cause replaceing is cheaper than fixing
Fred Fleet Losing 4 would really stink. They aren’t worth fixing if they are less than $200. These were much more expensive at the time.
