Hey Tampatec, I have been learning a lot from your videos and I really appreciate the time you take to make them. I have a Vizio TV doing a similar thing that yours is doing, but my TV flashes orange to white for about 1 minute and 30 seconds and doesn't have any other voltage other than the standby, then after 1min 30 sec I get all voltages for about 1 min 30 sec and then flashes again. Do you think this sounds like an EPROM issue also or should I further diagnose the power supply board or what would you suggest? Thanks so much for your time.

Mine had the same issue..... I put that board in a small cardboard box and baked it in the oven for 8 mins at 375 and it works perfectly

@@kaimyles2564 Of course not, this is a well known "fix". Poor solder joints will crack and cause failures so reheating the board reflows that solder back into place without having to pinpoint exactly which ones need to be reflowed.
I had the exact same problem with my M50-C1. I replaced the main board that fixed the problem but. Now I’ve go a split screen it shows the exact same things on the left and right side. I noticed the replacement has pins and the old one doesn’t. What can I do without replacing the board again?

I have a 55" vizio, ive been having the power up problem for several months now. I have been persist and have always been able to power the tv up until tonight. The screen turned green and it just fell away to black. I have tried to power up like the past but no luck. Any suggestions?
Was that the burnt eeprom for the tv?

great video. I tried to fix my vizio led tv last year...same shutdown problem. tried replaceing main board and power board seperatly..didn't fix?? I ordered a led driver board from china and have not tried repair yet. Someone online did this succesfully. I dont think I had the 24V at the board like you did on yours. Any thoughts?
24v happens once power board and main board are working, check volts on main logic board plug to power board. vizio is known for faulty main logic boards. if you replaced main logic board with a bad power board still in the tv then your new main logic board is bad too possibly. hope this helps

Any idea about a VIZIO e422ar that hangs at the "VIZIO" Logo?
The thing is, I can get past there by holding [CH+]+[CH-]+INPUT on the actual TV and pressing POWER on the RC. Or, if I hold [VIA]+[VOL-] then POWER on the TV Panel.
Once I get it past the logo, it runs perfect for days. Accesses the internet, can even do a factory reset, etc, but once it's turned off - back to the LOGO FREEZE.
I think the eeprom just needs a reset or something. Do you know how to access the "factory menu"? Seems like no one knows about this particular model. please help!

I know this maybe old but my Vizio d50 freezes while it’s on . Randomly and when it freezes I can still hear the audio and the picture starts to distort . Then the tv shuts off on its own then restarts and gets stuck in the logo for a long time. Then freezes again.

That's the one I have. The vizio name lit up orange that all it would do them I took out the av HDMI driver board swear to god baked it in the oven for 5 mins in cardboard top shelf of gas camper oven put it back in n now it would flash orange n white then turn on the logo popped up then shut off. So i was father ahead. I took it out n figured id try one more time whats it gonna hurt the tv already doesn't work so i put it back in my oven at 375 for 8 mins straight with no dusturbances didn't open it or anything and boom works like a charm lol. Still can't beleive it. But . Playing skyrim on my ps3 on it rn
Sorry to bump a old video, but you said if you have a problem with a similar TV to comment on a video that is close to what I’m having. Well my situation is close to this, but my TV actually comes back on after 3min. Now when it’s on the V logo is stuck on the screen and you can’t do anything to the TV. You can’t push the power button to turn it off.
At first I thought it was the power supply, but after watching your video it seems that you are right. Any opinions?
History of this TV. I get a lot of TVs that customers throw away because of a surge coming into there home. I’m a Journeyman Electrician here in Texas. So all the TVs I own are from people who bought a new TV and was in the process of throwing away there old one. I have been fortunate to fix 4 TVs that were Samsung. It seems they are more simple to fix. And just taking a gamble and ordering a power supply I have been lucky.
But this TV is confusing me. I no nothing about this type of stuff, but can pick up quick on it due to my background of the line of work I’m in.

is this the same board that needs replacing if the tv powers on, freezes on the logo, but you have to unplug it to turn it off?

I was watching TV and then I heard a very loud sound. When I saw the screen it was full of lines. I power off the TV and when I try to power it on again, the logo LED display was off. From that moment the TV has not worked or power on the VIZIO LED lights not white or orange. Maybe someone has this same problem and can help me with it. Thanks and the video was great!!!

chanel Calderon unplug power cord for 30 seconds to reset tv. while in tv tuner input source press settings then go to channel to auto program channels. check cable connection might need a new connector or tv tuner has loose solder ground joints.
Why did the eprom chip fail like that in the first place?
good question, my logically guess is eeproms can be sensitive to surges, sometimes surges can enter through hdmi cables from sat/cable boxes so if you see cable box reset and tv malfunctions afterwards i would check main board. some surges can take out both power board & main logic board too. or maybe they get erased from a surge afterall eeprom stands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory.
