I have a new appreciation for a Flock of Seagulls, Paul Reynolds is the best, to be that young and have that much pressure dropped on you, I mean he revolutionized the sound of the 80s, literally when I think 80s his guitar echo especially comes to mind, musical genius
There are so many musically inclined people in the world who love to sing or play instruments, but are terrified of being in the public eye. They cope in many different ways, but that usually means drugs and/or alcohol. Many lives destroyed in the music industry, but I like to see shows like this where they come together and seem to fix a bit of themselves, heal some wounds and that's one of my favorite parts of this series.
This is surprisingly moving. Caught me off guard. When those power chords ripped through the venue it was like the magic was back. Even after years and years of wandering in the wilderness you can go home again.
UdayMotwani. They did but I don't think any of them could work with Mike Scores ego anymore and they had to escape from it.He was probably making their life hell and didn't see it,itn just exploded around him
I watched this at the age of 50, and it brought tears to my eyes knowing how much this band meant so much to me during those high school years. We traded this album back and forth among friends. I loved seeing where and how they went their separate ways. One of the best parts was seeing mum watching her boys reunite. So happy to see so much positive still there.
Watched this is September of 2023 and it also brought tears to my eyes seeing them play. I saw them in 1983 at the Greek theater in Los Angeles. It was my first concert ever. I was only 12 years old and they were my favorite band. So many good memories listening to their music. Mike still tours and I saw him at a small new wave club in bellflower California in 2008. I met him and shared a drink. Good times!
When Flock of Seagulls came to New York City I performed with them on roller skates with my group I remember it was at a club in midtown. They had just come out with "I Ran" and it was a great high energy experience. Wish them all well.
The personality’s of Ali Frank and Paul shine through , Mike is still all ego , he can tour with his ever changing line up of flock of imposters, they could have done a tour from this like kajagoogoo did , took the money and ran but you can see all mike is thinking is me and the imposter’s can get a tour out of this, Paul is a genius on guitar and like all geniuses troubled, they were trying but it wasn’t there until Paul started playing and boom it was a flock of seagulls again, frank really worked to get Paul to be at ease, I hope the audience know how privileged they are to have witnessed that performance, mom score rocks
I really feel for Paul too, being thrown into the massive pressure cooker known as the music industry at such a young age and then doing 158 straight shows. That is tough for anyone to cope with, let alone a young kid (14 when he first joined and 17 when they first cut an album!)
@@trollgoodman7808 yes agreed but they all made it special. The lead guitar was/is gifted and the bassist and drummer completed the perfect set up known to mankind. This group will always rock!
This is my favorite of the "bands reunited" series. I always loved A Flock of Seagulls surreal, new wave sound. They still had that great chemistry for this show, and all of them were on their game. Paul is an amazing guitar player, for sure. The ONE thing that was made absolutely clear in this video is that the root problem that probably drove this band apart is Mike Score's huge ego. Ali, Paul and Frank all seem like very likable and level-headed guys, then and now, but Mike clearly has an "I am the band" attitude, then and now.
Mark Twain said "It ain't braggin', if ya done it." In that way, Mike WAS the band. His idea, he put them together, named them, wrote the songs, led, etc... Could he have been a better leader, and they wouldn't have fallen apart? We'll never know, but I doubt it. The pressures they were under - doing that many gigs (157 in a row! wow), along with booze and drugs and lifestyle, and Paul such a young person being in the midst of all that - I'd wager it was not "if" but _when_ they flew apart, from someone needing to bow out. An eventuality. No doubt, the man has an ego :) - and yet, he has every right to it, if you ask me. Have you checked out his Zeebratta release from 2014? If not, here it is - listen, he *still* has it. ruclips.net/video/4CJDeewSNIE/видео.html
@@leaveonlywake I will check that out. I still listen to their music. Mike Score, aside from a huge ego, can't sing, either; regardless, the music they made together was good stuff.
@@leaveonlywake lm sure all the others guys contribute, especially Pauls talent guitar playing! Remember they started the "New Wave movement" and syn sound!💙
Paul was only 17 when he joined the band (I'm 1 year older than him) so mix that with quick fame, success and lots money and the fairly predictable happened. He seems like a soft spoken and likeable guy and I'm glad he seems to have gotten through all those difficulties. I loved FOS right away when they came on the scene. Very underrated band. ❤
You can tell that Frank Maudsely is the reason they were smiling and he was the icebreaker... for the two brothers, and then into Paul... Paul's so shy and reserved and immediately seeing Frank has not changed warmed his heart and even made Mike a bit different.
These reunion shows just prove how easy it is to hold a grudge and be angry and unhappy and resentful... from a distance for decades. And how easy it is to wipe all of that away and forgive and forget... in an instant... when you get together with someone face to face. Think about how different all of their lives would have been had someone gotten them together in a room with some instruments a decade or two earlier.
Omg! paul Reynolds is an master 🎸 guital player!...they are all very talented! Gotta love these guys!!! I sure do! Such great memories love them to pieces!
Paul seemed like he had been through a lot mentally and physically, and understandably wasn't totally comfortable talking about it on camera even after all these years. Whatever happened to him is his business, and I applaud him for being strong and his band mates for being supportive of him while still giving him his space. And man, he can still play a guitar.
Partying and touring for a 150 gigs straight will fuck a person up bad. They body needs a break/rest. Some down time. Its really no different then being an athlete. Cheers 👍
Still, Paul was such a visionary and talented guitarist. I remember his birthday party when they were on tour and the band singing to him "Happy Birthday to Paul". Yeah, that's a hard lifestyle, but HIS SOUND MADE the band.
Awesome!! Not to bust YOUR bubble Ego Mike but without Paul and his unique style, sound and writing AFOS would have never been as big as it was(is). It's obvious the fans love Paul for what he went through at such a young age and accomplished. Remember the 4 of you made it happen. Just look at the magic that just happened after 20 years of being apart. Great job guys, and thank you 👍👍
The whole mental stress breakdown thing…. I get it! Jamming all them consecutive nights, partying afterwards, driving to the next show. Can’t be easy. No one can fault the guy
Loved seeing them live in Seattle at the Paramount in their heydays. After all these years, I am still alway impressed with the brilliant guitar work , tone, and sounds of Paul Reynolds. So nice to see them reunite even if only for this show. A great band of the era.
Omg im in tears...i love these guys. I grew up with their music it defines my youth. It took me back thank you for this. Paul hes just an amazing guitarist they r all so talented. Wishing its my favorite track and i listen to it every day.
I have always loved this band. Pauls guitar is eerie and beautiful at the same time. Just recently(in June)the original 4 members got back together again. They just recorded an album called "Ascension" which is them backed with an orchestra of the band members/fans fav songs. I truly think because of this 2003 VH1 Bands re-united Ascension would not have occurred! I have watched this VH1 special countless times & it never gets old. Love it!!
I'm an old man now, but damn these guys were great when I was 17 in 1982, "Space age love song" brings back so many good memories, it was awesome to see them come back together again for this VH1 special .... thanks guys!
My eyes got teary when they started singing I ran after so many years being apart. I thank god I lived to see this happen and enjoy their wonderful music in my teenage and adult years. Desde El Salvador les deseo lo mejor y gracias por su musica.
Paul Reynolds was such an amazing talent, I'll bet he can play any genre of Rock and Roll and produce a very authentic sound. Man was sort of underutilized and far far underrated.
this was filmed in the 2000's where they were trying to get away from a lot of the styles of the 80's they're definitely quite stylish by modern standards tho!
he was clearly trying hard in the 80s to look older by wearing them, hiding behind the fact that he was indeed 15. I cant imagine the sex drugs and rock'n'roll he was getting backstage at age 15 to have had a blowout like that ..daym
He was my classmate in liverpool school. Believe me hes always been funny and zany. There was many in that school !! I bump into him now and again. Glad hes done well from Norris green.
Well, Paul said he hadn't picked up an ELECTRIC guitar in 8 years. He was working as a "freelance musician", so I'm pretty sure he was playing acoustic guitar in that time. That's not to take anything away from Paul at all... he's a fantastic musician, and his nailing his part in that performance after all that time is still impressive.
agreed - imagine seeing him play live for the very first time in the 80s! If I could go back in a time machine....I mean the band were great and definitely captured the moment and encapsulated that great 80s vibe, but Paul's ability was incredible at such a tender age, it really stands out and the Flock were blessed to have him on board......shame what he went through, but that's the perils of fame. This was at times, a bit awkward to watch but the fun they had at the end was worth it. Totally smashed it
being a ex band tour bus driver i know where they are coming from !! on tour gigs 24/7 its a nightmare for the bands . so respect . health is more vital than anything else and family as well . stay safe .
Paul Reynolds ❤️🥰❤️ amazing guitarist what a sweetheart ♥️ I hear him mention his iconic glasses. I had multiple pairs of glasses just like that --multiple pairs in case I lost one --I never took them off unless going to sleep --however many a time I fell asleep doing school work or studying for a test or just lying in bed listen to --A Flock of Seagulls of course !! 😊
Thanks VH1 for putting them back together, even just for one night, great to see the reunion but also i hope it helped the band members to put the past behind them and reconnect, great show!.
Exactly! Was just thinking the same thing sat watching this, if for nothing else, not the music, the fans, the nostalgia, all that aside to get the 4 of them together after the way it all fractured and soared was an achievement itself, it was good to see the warmth amongst them (even if Mike seemed a shade distant compared to the others) . If it helped heal old wounds and reestablish contact between them as friends/family alone then this was so worthwhile, good on vh1 for facilitating it and making it happen! Music is constant it will always be there, bonds can break and ego gets in the way ....time can heal! There will always be a flock of seagulls
As a rock guitar player, I first scoffed at the guitarist being referred to as a “guitar whiz”.... but watching their performance, that guy really was ahead of his time. Not a virtuoso, but very good for his style of music. Mastering a delayed guitar sound is a lot harder than it looks... The Edge from U2 basically stole this cats style!
Ha! Yeah. In the 80’s I was busy listening to Metallica and Slayer. And learning those riffs on guitar. Although I was a metal head through and through, I kinda liked Flock. Never though much of the guitarist. But I’ve come to appreciate him a lot more over the years. Very cool riffing. And very much like U2’s the Edge.
This brought a tear to my eye. The 80's were such a great, creative era in terms of music, and I have some great memories. I think that 'AFOS' encapsulated and represented that era better than any band (or most bands), so it was a joy to watch them come together for this. Thanks for the upload.
It brought a tear to my eye too !! I think these guys needed to do this ! I loved it and am so glad they were willing to get together, despite all the hurts of the past. It gave me a warm feeling to see them get back together, if only for one performance. They still have fans ! And I’m one of them !
Last night, I saw the Flock of Seagulls for the first time live in Downtown Los Angeles. I knew who they were and listened to their songs a long time ago. But last night was a wish fulfilled. I first saw this VH1 documentary when I was in College. But last night was a very emotional night for me. Thank you Flock of Seagulls.
I think I saw this for the first time when I was at university, back in 2009. As a teenager with a guitar, getting into 80s alternative stuff that no one else my age cared about, Reyno was such an inspiration. He could play, but he reigned it in because he always knew the right part for the song. When I got my first chorus and delay pedals, I learned "Space Age Love Song" - I wasn't quite good enough for "I Ran" yet - and loved playing that riff, listening as the bass and synth altered the feel as Paul just kept playing those three notes. He's magic, and they were never the same when he left.
I was inspired back in the day by Pauls guitar riffs, and it was the first time I'd discovered the e.bow. Their sound was never the same after he left.
Wow, memories. To be honest, I was never a huge fan when I was younger, but looking back I remember how much I did actually enjoy the hits and still remember them fondly over 30 years later. God bless these guys and I wish them the best. Thanks for the memories.
It was uncomfortable to see how Mike Score treated everyone when they walked in one by one. He never even got up for the last 2 guys. With his brother he gave him a half ass hug and then went back to working on the keyboard just blowing him off like he wasnt even there. I love this band and it was great to see them do this but Mike really comes across like he didnt want to really be there and do this. You could see he was thinking let's get this over so I can go back to my life.
For me,the most beloved song from their first album,is "standing on the doorway".The riff of Paul's,was so haunting,as it was supposed to be,considering the lyrics. One of the best bands of the 80's.Trip down the memory lane...
I was in the audience for this! What wasn't mentioned (even to the band, apparently), was that most of the audience, including myself, were paid extras, hired to make up the crowd! I remember queueing at the end to get my booking form signed so I'd get paid, hehe. It was good fun though!
I remember this series. It was one of the last run of programs by VH-1 that involved some intricate investigation and thorough research. Now all they produce TV shows about Social Media "influencers" who have zero musical talent.
Anyone remember the great line about Flock in the Wedding Singer? Adam Sandler is talking to a ticket agent with hair like Mike Score's circa 1982. The agents asks him "do you like a Flock of Seagulls"? Sandler replies "I can tell you do". Priceless.
I knew this wild girl in high school who wanted to take this freshman on a trip "around the world" It was the early 80's and "I Ran" started playing on the radio while she took the reins. Every time I hear this song I am transported back to her car, late at night, saying to myself...wow, what a wonderful world!
@@gerald4133 yes G that's great that they got the chance to forgive each other and themselves for all those silly & pointless discrepancies of the past that had been weighing them down for so long, I just loved to see the happily surprised look on Mike's face as it all came together! I have a good feeling that some things were resolved among them all because it would not have happened otherwise!
I graduated high school in 1984. What a great time to be a teenager. For me the music during these years was epic. Flock of seagulls were one of those great bands. Thanks for the great memories.
Saw these guys in 1981 at the Rock Garden in Covent Garden just after the release of "(It's Not Me) Talking". Saw them again in 82 when "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" was riding high in the charts. An absolutely brilliant band to see live. Paul is one of the most underrated guitarists ever, such an immense talent and the "sound" of A.F.O.S.
AFOS were ahead of their time in my opinion. So different a lot of people couldn't really take them seriously at the time. But honestly the music was great. I Ran, Space Age Love Song, Modern Love Is Automatic, Photograph Of You, Transfer Affection all amazing tracks.
Oh man, I saw them in '83 with The Fixx opening for them. Un-freakin'-believable! Both bands were at the height of their powers and popularity. Probably the best double bill I've ever seen. Paul Reynolds has been one of my favorite guitarists since their first album came out. His style is so utterly unique and tasteful. Never get tired of listening to him play. I noticed that Mike's voice wasn't what it used to be, but such is the aging process. I'm happy with what he gave. The way the other three guys talked about Paul, I was almost ready to see a shrunken little man that keeps casting furtive glances about and a nervous twitch in the corner of his mouth. Wrong! He was still the totally cool guitarist that has all of the chops he needs to impress. Love that guy! And Frank just cracked me up. He made me feel good. His personallity is just too damn bubbly to ignore or resist. The kind of guy you love hanging out with. Really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for posting!
I saw them that year also. Saw them at the Mann Music Center in Philly. So, my friend was a big fan of New Wave music and I was a metal head. So I agreed to go see A Flock Of Seagulls and the Fixx, and he agreed to see Black Sabbath. I was skeptical at first, but I was blown away at how great the show turned out to be. I am so glad I went to see that show. My friend is gone now, passed away 6 years ago. I miss him and I miss those days when music was great.
I also was at that Mann show in’83. I was a huge Fixx fan but liked Flock of Seagulls also. Great show by both. FOS was so damn loud as I remember too.
Reno's guitar created the AFOS sound. I Ran was one of the first videos on MTV and it was played continuously. The 1980's saw a proliferation of unique and innovative music. A beautiful time in history to be young. It will never be seen again. I'm glad I was there.

I recently spoke with Mike Score (Aug. 2016) at a show about whether AFOS reunited following this VH1 special. He said, "No we didn't, and it'll never happen!" I told him, "That's too bad," and he said, "It's not too bad, that's just rock'n roll!" Mike was in good spirits, and a pleasure to talk to. I still think they should get back together. What a great '80's band! AFOS ROCKS!
I thought they played a few shows after this VH1 show per Wikipedia. I searched for those supposed shows but did. It find anything. Mike Score set it straight.
It is too bad. Too bad Mike can't get over his grudge holding ego. AFOS, was a fantastic band and it's just a dam shame that the Score brothers fighting couldn't be resolved. When Paul left and Ali left, AFOS died. Mike can carry on but it will NEVER be ok. All four of those guys made AFOS what it was. Come on Mike get over yourself.

Flock of seagulls PLEASE remember that none of you were any greater or bigger than the other. You all made the perfect mix.
nah the singer wrote all the hits
@@trollgoodman7808 yes agreed but they all made it special. The lead guitar was/is gifted and the bassist and drummer completed the perfect set up known to mankind. This group will always rock!
@@suzannep8371 the singer doesen't come across well. But they're still a great band and the guitarist is great
The singer was nothing without the rest of the band!
Paul Reynolds
Paul fucking Reynolds!!! He WAS their sound.... period!!!
He was so young and still a brilliant guitar player.
The secret sauce of this awesome band has always been Paul Reynold and the his playing style and sound.
Mark Twain said "It ain't braggin', if ya done it."
In that way, Mike WAS the band.
I think at the time of this he definitely had that mentality but it really seems that he's mellowed out in the last few years.
@@leaveonlywake lm sure all the others guys contribute, especially Pauls talent guitar playing! Remember they started the "New Wave movement" and syn sound!💙
I picked up on that too
Paul was only 17 when he joined the band (I'm 1 year older than him) so mix that with quick fame, success and lots money and the fairly predictable happened. He seems like a soft spoken and likeable guy and I'm glad he seems to have gotten through all those difficulties. I loved FOS right away when they came on the scene. Very underrated band. ❤
I thought they said he was 14 or 15?
he was 15.very young for that fame and pressure
I doubt they could have pulled it off without Frank Maudsley.....he kept it from getting "too serious" Kudos to him!
Absolutely.... the crazy funny guy breaking the ice and keeping it light.
Mark D.Yeah what a great guy.He took all the doubts away.Typical glue of a bassist and no ego whatsoever!Joy to watch.
MarK D, just takes that one personality to break the ice. I seen it too.
Definitely
You can tell that Frank Maudsely is the reason they were smiling and he was the icebreaker... for the two brothers, and then into Paul... Paul's so shy and reserved and immediately seeing Frank has not changed warmed his heart and even made Mike a bit different.
Frank was the happy glue for sure. He seems like a terriffic guy! He was the ying to the other darker guys yangs
The Grammy Award they earned, was for "DNA" and it was Paul Reynolds lead guitar magic that did it.
A Masterpiece
These reunion shows just prove how easy it is to hold a grudge and be angry and unhappy and resentful... from a distance for decades. And how easy it is to wipe all of that away and forgive and forget... in an instant... when you get together with someone face to face. Think about how different all of their lives would have been had someone gotten them together in a room with some instruments a decade or two earlier.
Reynolds is so dam talented, a magician on the guitar, he didn't seem to realize it!!!
THANK YOU PAUL!!! from Queretaro Mex.
Paul looks all normal all grown up. lol! Even he had to pick on himself for those oversized glasses.
Bill Keith.Yeah he always looked like he should have been in Buggles to me.
Reynolds just seems to have natural talent. He is so damn good. It seems almost effortless to him.
he spoke the truth ! there was a lot of circumstances in the way but that is what makes the greatest the greatest !
Omg! paul Reynolds is an master 🎸 guital player!...they are all very talented! Gotta love these guys!!! I sure do! Such great memories love them to pieces!
Space age love song is just phenomenal. I could listen to it over and over all day.
Paul Reynolds, I haven’t picked a guitar up in 8 years, blows the roof off the place
Yeah a teen being thrown into an aggressive touring schedule and party lifestyle takes its toll.
New Album & Tour 2018. Original members.
Partying and touring for a 150 gigs straight will fuck a person up bad. They body needs a break/rest. Some down time. Its really no different then being an athlete. Cheers 👍
I heard he used to be on drugs.
But he isn't anymore.
Which is a good thing.
Great job guys, and thank you 👍👍
Yeah, exactly. The record that followed Paul’s departure was hardly awe inspiring. Paul was the sound and the soul of their best work.
I love this, Paul...you rock brother. Youre a sweet man.
Paul's Guitar sound made that band.
The whole mental stress breakdown thing…. I get it! Jamming all them consecutive nights, partying afterwards, driving to the next show. Can’t be easy. No one can fault the guy
Brilliant brilliant brilliant PAUL REYNOLDS!
Loved seeing them live in Seattle at the Paramount in their heydays.
After all these years, I am still alway impressed with the brilliant guitar work ,
tone, and sounds of Paul Reynolds.
So nice to see them reunite even if only for this show.
A great band of the era.
Paul Reynolds one of the underrated guitar player!
I was 16 in 1982 and yeah I’m old as well...lol
Old? LOL - I'm nearing 68 and still loving the spectacular sounds of Flock!
Paul Reynolds is one of the Best
Still watching in 2023. Priceless
I can't understand Reynold's questioning his taste in glasses, even almost 40 years they look pretty stylish.
this was filmed in the 2000's where they were trying to get away from a lot of the styles of the 80's they're definitely quite stylish by modern standards tho!
I know! I'm currently on a hunt to find the same brand / model sunglasses, or as close as I can get. 😎
he was clearly trying hard in the 80s to look older by wearing them, hiding behind the fact that he was indeed 15. I cant imagine the sex drugs and rock'n'roll he was getting backstage at age 15 to have had a blowout like that ..daym
I loved this. The bass player seems like a totally cool guy.
Frank Maudsley
yeah frank is cool guy...
@@fernansengson5799 Of course you can't tell much about a person from just one video but I love his energy!
He was my classmate in liverpool school. Believe me hes always been funny and zany. There was many in that school !! I bump into him now and again. Glad hes done well from Norris green.
Course he is.... He's a Bassist.
"Think positive, positive, positive, and it all goes on"
Frank definitely has the positive attitude towards life that I'd love to have constantly!
Probably one of the most underrated and best, exceptional bands of the 80's!! :)
Weren't underrated if you lived the 80s
Reynolds nailed the guitar, at 34:30, for not picking one up for 8 years.. :-)
Yeah true 😄
Well, Paul said he hadn't picked up an ELECTRIC guitar in 8 years. He was working as a "freelance musician", so I'm pretty sure he was playing acoustic guitar in that time. That's not to take anything away from Paul at all... he's a fantastic musician, and his nailing his part in that performance after all that time is still impressive.
One of the most technical guitarist ever. Him and Jamie West-Oram of The Fixx.
agreed - imagine seeing him play live for the very first time in the 80s! Totally smashed it
Absolutely killed it !!! :)
being a ex band tour bus driver i know where they are coming from !!
on tour gigs 24/7 its a nightmare for the bands . so respect . health is more vital than anything else and family as well .
Paul is a gem..and so damn talented.
Thanks VH1 for putting them back together, even just for one night, great to see the reunion but also i hope it helped the band members to put the past behind them and reconnect, great show!.
adorable!!!!!!!!
The original lineup is back together working on a new project...
River Of Blacklights Ascension June 29th ....cant wait! Theyve recorded Space Age love song with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra....brilliant!
New Album & Tour 2018
As a rock guitar player, I first scoffed at the guitarist being referred to as a “guitar whiz”.... but watching their performance, that guy really was ahead of his time. Not a virtuoso, but very good for his style of music. Mastering a delayed guitar sound is a lot harder than it looks... The Edge from U2 basically stole this cats style!
Except that the edge did it first.
@@fakebrake Yes,he did,but in a boring way compared with Paul..;)
Ha!
@@fakebrake Look up Keith Levene, he predates The Edge and played almost identical to him.
Sir Paul was the GOAT!! Brilliant Talented Musician / Guitarist.. His absence obviously noticeable in the 1985 album
Paul Reynolds was the best thing about this band, and that is saying a lot.
The Fab Four of the early New Wave Era.....bloody marvelous!
I bawled through the performance. This brought back a lot of memories.
Paul was awesome...
I bet mom was happy her sons finally reunited. So sad they spent all of those years not talking to or seeing each other.
17:34 the best part of the video, Paul's smile :´)
Absolutely brilliant!!! Long live the original flock of seagulls
Wow, memories. To be honest, I was never a huge fan when I was younger, but looking back I remember how much I did actually enjoy the hits and still remember them fondly over 30 years later. God bless these guys and I wish them the best. Thanks for the memories.
I love the band, thank you for the great memories!🙏
PAUL THE GLASSES ARE FABULOUS, I hope you bring it back...
Keep in mind that the show was edited for television.
William Zimmerman
no... that was the real Mike and his feelings to the band. and all is still the same today.
Also remember Mike drove them off.
And the other three sound ok but his voice is awful.
Randy Chapman correct ,,he didn't want to be there it was obvious
That was great when Ali plays the drums for 5 seconds and says "Ok, I'm ready"
WE NEED A 80'S CONCERT NOW.It will BRING EVERYONE BACK TOGETHER for a WHILE.
The Bassist has a great look on life. Positive.

I graduated high school in 1984. What a great time to be a teenager. For me the music during these years was epic. Flock of seagulls were one of those great bands. Thanks for the great memories.
Paul Reynolds is still incredibly fascinating.
Mike seemed so reluctant, up to the rehearsal. Then, they played, and he loved it. So happy this worked out.
Wow would love to see videos from their really early gigs (Before the debut was even out) Musta been crazy!
Paul is a GENIOUS
After that play reunion, how could they ever stop being close again, staying in touch? The guys are legends.
Reynolds steals the show...
AFOS were ahead of their time in my opinion. So different a lot of people couldn't really take them seriously at the time. But honestly the music was great. I Ran, Space Age Love Song, Modern Love Is Automatic, Photograph Of You, Transfer Affection all amazing tracks.
Space age love song.......sooooo good!

Did not find
Then they do this with a 4 CD new release-

They actually did reunite to re-record some of their old songs with an orchestra.
These guys were the most unique of the 80's British Invasion. Their Stage Presence, Overall look and unique style and their Music was Great. I always said that they were ahead of their time! It's amazing how they still loved each other after all that time had passed. This guy from VH1 is amazing how he was able to put them back together again, putting aside the pain of the past!
