"We're not gonna need keyboards on the second album." WTF? The keys were such a massive part of that sound. Especially that killer riff in "Goodbye to you." They sounded pretty tight....
I miss this era of music so much from the early and mid eighties. No cell phone, internet, or social media. We just had each other and our music. I still listen to this stuff in 2023.

So much for fashion and hair styles not changing one bit since they made this to be able to tell. All those who point out that the 21st century is a creative dead zone really get backed up by this video and those steady hair and clothes styles. The only way to tell what era something is in in this century is the phones and TV screens, everything else is stuck.
I loved this band so much. A buddy from work turned me on to them so we got tickets to see them at the Roxy in Hollywood when the EP was getting tons of airplay on KROQ in Los Angeles. They totally killed it and I was crushin’ hard on Patty. Good times.
I love finding out what happened to them in regard to breaking up. I was and am a huge fan and never knew why they split. I figured it was Patty pulling the old female singer takes over routine and goes solo. Glad to find out it was not her being that way at all, and from what she said, maybe that whole reality of girls taking over in the 80s was all or in large part, the record company doings not the girls.

He was just as emotional and sensitive as you see here, and he was completely comfortable with it. Everybody loved him. And one day the news broke that he died of a head injury from falling down the stairs of a subway station. It was shocking and absolutely heartbreaking. I never even met him but it saddens me to this day. He was very special.
God dang!! Everyone of them must be crazy talented because after 20+ years they sound absolutely fantastic. Band these days could never sound this right after being away from each other 20 + years
It was so good to find this on You Tube. I remember when this show originally aired and the Scandal reunion was the one I remember the most. I have thought of this show many times over the years but couldn't remember the name of the show or what network I seen it on. Tonight just randomly I watching You Tube stuff and up pops "Bands Reunited - Scandal and it's like oh my God there it is. Man it was emotional for me to watch this. What a rush. Always loved Scandal. I loved the guitar tones in this band. They were more clean sounding with less distortion that what was the norm when this band came out. The guitars are very good. And then there is Patty, I always thought she was so beautiful and what a super great voice. Thanks Vic for posting videos from this series. I look forward to watching all the rest of them. Awesome. Takes me right back to the 80s. I can only imagine how powerful this reunion is for the band members. This bands reunited episode is evidently from 2004. Another 20 years has gone by. Crazy. The power of a great/sexy female lead vocalist is incredible. Thank you Patty and all of your bandmates.
My last high school year and Patty bopping around in the red outfit...... My goodness, this was an excellent show reliving the 80's from rural repressed Michigan to Phoenix, AZ in USAF and we were all on our 20's partying to the songs on Warrior. The time and vibe was incredible.
What a great happy ending. I watched this one and the one on The Motels, and to my surprise, especially on the one with The Motels, the band mates seem to have been very honest. Some did not want to come back, some were really angry about the break ups and in both cases, the reuniting allowed old wounds to be healed as new information came forward taking away a lot of the sting of the break ups. I wonder how many others didn't go so well. One thing is for sure, the production costs of this show must have been outrageous (paying all the band members and crew travel, plus time off from their current jobs, studio rental, etc.). I wonder if the show's demise was simply costs or not enough willing bands to reunite or a combination.
I had a big smile on my face the entire time I watched this video! Brought back so many good feelings and memories! Thanks to the band members who signed on to do this show.
One of the absolute best concepts for the ultimate music fan experience. But I can see it is really hard to cut through years of emotional baggage. The bands that can make it through this kind of unwelcome therapy get to reboot in some way that allows us fans to feel a real sense of satisfaction. Wish the show or a new incarnation of it came back.
when ya put them all together, its magic on stage, like it was 1984, imagine ivan is looking down and playing with them, i wish we could go back to 80's, the music was hot with bands. and everthing else compared to whats going in the world today,
I saw Patty in the 90's touring with Rod Stewart. She was doing acoustic songs. It was really good and her voice is one of the best in rock. She did an acoustic version of Goodbye to You. There were a lot of calls from the audience to do Warrior but she never did it... it was an unusually cold night in June at an outdoor venue so that might have had something to do with it. Rod had a lot of trouble with some of his vocals and I think that cold air was hard on their voices. But it was a great show... very memorable. It was very touching to see them get back together and heal some old wounds. I really appreciate the professionalism and their willingness to do something hard and put themselves out there one more time. As we age, we often have regrets and so little opportunity to forgive and be forgiven. What a great concept this show was...
This was so great! Patty played my hometown in Dutchess County NY a few years back in an intimate setting under a tent and I was so happy I was able to attend after having been a fan from the beginning!
Wow! What a great project by vh-1. So good to hear from all the members and see them reunite. Thanks for getting back together for one night one of my favorite groups.

That was Awesome brought me back to the songs of my life. There was no better time to be alive like the 80s. MTV was a staple and then seeing the bands jump off the screen was magical!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane Scandal
Excellent story here! Glad to see the band moving on from past slights and losses to bring it for a night! Looks like everyone here - band and fans - are having a great time. The band sounds fabulous! The drummer is spectacular!
I was 11 years old. I heard "The Warrior" for the first time. When I saw the video, "it" moved. It was at that moment that I realized I liked girls. Thank you Patty!
i was hoping to hear more about the breakup where Eddie Van Halen REALLY wanted Patty Smyth to replace David Lee Roth. They settled on Sammy Hagar. This 'pop' band were excellent musicians that created artistically layered music
Wow, nicely done, I am sure it wasn't easy for the band to relive a past that was both good and a bit bitter and some unresolved items. The raw emotions on their faces were clear to see. Very bold to work through it and do a great performance.
I think they finally got to understand just what happened with each of them and how, aside from Zach and Patti, they all got screwed over by the record label, and did it a way that made it seem like it was Zack and Patti. I think if they did this now, they’d be able to create a great album
The thing about this band is they all are great players and the drummer the heart of the stayed a rock star he was still a rock star when this band got back cool show easy one of the best sounding band reunions

They sounded great. I saw them I’m concert in the early 80s opening for some other big band that I can’t remember at the moment. They were great and everyone fell in love with her.
I remember they opened for The Kinks during a part of the State Of Confusion tour.
That was Awesome brought me back to the songs of my life. There was no better time to be alive like the 80s. MTV was a staple and then seeing the bands jump off the screen was magical!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane Scandal
That group is awesome and God bless them and their futures 🎉❤🎹🥁🎵🎸🎶🎶🎉🎉🙏👍✌️😎
Excellent story here! Glad to see the band moving on from past slights and losses to bring it for a night! Looks like everyone here - band and fans - are having a great time. The band sounds fabulous! The drummer is spectacular!
Plus getting paid I'm sure helps.
No one nowadays compares to the energy and attitude Patty has. She is one classy act!!!!
I was 11 years old. I heard "The Warrior" for the first time. When I saw the video, "it" moved. It was at that moment that I realized I liked girls. Thank you Patty!
This song not only get song from the 80's but it gave alot of women who were in bad relationships the courage and the words to get out
I just went back to highschool for an hour. Makes me realize how precious time is
The older you get, the reality hits a little closer. Yes it is precious.
This is awesome!!! Love Patty's new stuff!! "Everyone Gets Older" Can't stop listening!!!
She's awesome God bless her and her family and band members 🎉❤👍✌️🎵🥁🎹🎶🎸🙏👍
Thank you Scandal for doing this.
Tengo 51 años y siempre he amado a scandal.
The. Warrior. La mejor
Pretty cool! I’m glad they all agreed to do it. I’m a tough guy… And the last 20 minutes I had a tear in my eye the whole time.
These guys had it going on, o enif the great bands of the early 80's.
One of my favorite bands. Glad to see the reunion.
i was hoping to hear more about the breakup where Eddie Van Halen REALLY wanted Patty Smyth to replace David Lee Roth.
I truly loved this. It was like a family reborn
