Also give Nick Beggs from Kagagoogoo major respect, as not only was he definitely up for the Kagagoogoo Reunion, he filled in to make ABC,s dreams come true !! Now that's a Musician and an honourable guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got to meet Martin and Mark out dancing in the clubs of London at the end of the 80's. Those 2 summers of love were a lot of fun. Neither guys had an ounce of being stars. We were all there for the love of the music & no airs 'n graces. Mark is a really nice guy, would be great to see him again. Martin even gave me and my other half a lift home after one night with the music blaring and all just having a good time. Special times.

Loved ABC back in the day and loved their performance in this. I watch this at least once a year and it's always emotional. So glad these guys agreed to turn up. They looked so happy and energised up on that stage. Well done Martin and David, wishing you both well.
No one has mentioned the backing singer, she needs a big shout out for supporting Martin on the notes he couldn't handle anymore . Great Gig and Nick Beggs, top man!!!!
I don't know why she´s credited nowhere, I resent it. Her name is Tracy Graham, and she is a goddess. You can follow her on twitter as tracyredgraham And I usually watch this performance and the one on the Trevor Horn Prince's Trust concert when I need to feel in love again

I respect Martin Fry's talent. I am a Cancer Survivor as well and when he mentioned that he felt the "cancer" took some time away I can totally relate. I remember when this show first aired. It was a great idea. I'm glad this is still on youtube.
I saw ABC last year in Zoetermeer and this year in Colchester. Still amazing to hear Marty and the music of ABC. They will always have a special place in my heart!
When I was growing up, I loved this band and I still listen to them till this day. Martin Fry and David Palmer 🥰 blew it out of the water. What talent!🥳 Thank you for showing up for your fans!!!! They did extremely well. What a shame that the 2 other band members didn't show up.🤨 What a lost opportunity for both of them.
When the human spirit of life takes over more then the music you can see it in both of them . Life is so precious . No animosity , no hatred , no division . Just human kindness that brought them there. music was only an avenue . I actually enjoyed seeing the two enjoy themselves more than watching them perform.

What a trooper and good friend 'Nick Beggs' is as well as one of the best bass players around. Great to see Palmer & Fry together again even if the other 2 can't hack it anymore.
Shame the other two decided against appearing, but what a way to round out the lineup with the monstrous bass talents of Nick Beggs from Kajagoogoo and beyond, and Andy Hamilton of Duran Duran fame filling in on sax, so cool! Tracy Graham was excellent on backing vox as well.
Shame the other members didn’t show up! Great Band ABC. Seen them a few times... always put on a good show! Martin Fry still has it! David Palmer too!! You can’t beat that Gold Suit!!
Truly good stuff even 20 years after this journey for ABC took place. It’s ashamed that 2 members wouldn’t even return phone calls. I’ve learned in my time. That the biggest waste of time is, anger, regret and missed opportunity. Martin Fry came back from a potential death sentence. He sounded great and I think it was important to them to be together in a room to share memories that should mean a lot to them all.
I've been a fan, ever since The Look of love came out. But also, ever since, I seen David Palmer perform in Philadelphia, PA with Rod Stewart ,doing Lost In You. And seen him perform many times since with Rod Stewart, everytime, I seen him, I've always, wish, I could see him perform again with ABC. And tonight, that was accomplished. Thanks VH1, and David, for making that happen.
It seems that the ones that showed up are well adjusted and happy people. The 2 that no showed are probably living with resentment. I think if the 2 no shows came to the reunion, they may have healed emotionally and might be able to move on and find happiness. Nick beggs is a truly underrated musician and has created a beautiful life for himself- no resentment.
such great great memories. David and Martin seem like really great guys. It was great that Nick from Kajagoogoo helped out, loved that band back then as well.

I was in my early 20s when ABC hit the music scene back in 82 when Lexicon of Love was released. I wasn’t a fan of pop music having played in a few rock bands in high school but admit AVB’s music was unique at the time and had a great dancing beat. I never bought their albums but appreciated their talent and creativity. 🇨🇦
He's right about other Sheffield bands but I see 2 iconic albums Hysteria and Lexicon of Love. Both albums also had amazing producers involved. Cant believe all that time has passed.

It would have been fantastic to have seen the original ABC line up on stage. However, we learnt as the years went on that most bands that were produced by Trevor Horn, did NOT need a full band in the studio. 'The Lexicon of Love' album was mainly Martin Fry & David Palmer and a load of tricks programmed by Trevor into his synthesisers. Stephen & Mark are very talented people. BUT, they are electronic pioneers. Mark's programming on the 'how to be a Zillionaire' had proved this. Mark had retired from ABC in 1992, and Stephen may have found this reunion a bit scary. Too much, too soon, maybe ? I think I read recently that he may have been paid off after the 'Beauty Stab' album. David has played on most ABC albums. Most recently, 2008s 'Traffic'. Stephen & Mark have both recently reunited Vice Versa, and Martin / ABC have hit the jackpot with 'The Lexicon of Love II' album. I still live in hope that one day there will be a full 'Lexicon' reunion xx
Thank you for reuniting. You guys are timeless!! You sound the same....What a shame that the other two didn't show up. You had a great fan base. So unique. Come to America. Thank you for showing up Martin fry and David Palmer. I wish I would have been there.

Personal issues aside, this one off performance was truly for the benefit of all the fans who supported ABC while the project was active. Therefore I feel it’s important to recognize the level of respect and professionalism exhibited by all of those responsible for taking the time and effort to put it together and see it through. As for the missing men in this formation, it was their loss to have not shared in the experience and their shame as well for letting their fans down and ensuring the final way that many will remember them in their years to come will be that of a negative note.
you can see who the prime mover in this band was.... the least those other guys could do is turn up to pay respect to the guy that dragged their sorry asses out of Sheffield.
That was excellent. Watching this in early 2023, this, now, is nearly 20 years old. Scary how time flies.
