    I own an SR22T G6 and have flown a friend's DA50. They are both brilliant aircraft. My preference (which could be familiarity) is for the Cirrus. I really, really like Jet A, the DA50 fuel economy and FADEC - these are major advantages. However, the Cirrus has much better performance - especially when heavy. And although the avionics are meant to be similar, the Cirrus Perspective Plus has material advantages. These range from ergonomics with the much superior keypad for waypoint entry on the Cirrus to safety with an angle of attack indicator. Also worth noting is that the DA50 wingspan makes hangarage more challenging / expensive (but it does deliver tremendous stall performance). And then there is the parachute.
    So if buying again I would select the SR22. However, owning either would make me very happy.

      The parking brake seating procedure is up to SOP of each company, and since Diamond demands available power check according to AFM setting parking brea=k is normal (if you have to wait). Even on the A320 and C525A parking break were set on RW when needed.

    So the DA50 is a four seater, with two people in the back you only have a few inches between them, 10 inches at the most, maybe three kids will fit in back

    • @IGGYsWorld
      @IGGYsWorld  5 месяцев назад

      Agreed… but that seems an industry practice. Cirrus does the same. In the new SR22 models they certified back seats for 3 people… same space, but three belts, so you can fit 3 kids… maybe an adult and 2 kids. Just like the Diamond. Also, Cirrus Vision Jet has a back seat line with 3 seats, effectively for 2 kids and an adult. Anyway, I would love to have that seat arrangement in my SR22 (G2… plain 2+2). Several times I would have loved to be able to seat an adult and 2 kids in the back.

    Why is she not saying "my airplane"/"your airplane" when switching commands? She puts her hand on the throttle as well when he is taking off and doesn't let him fly the plane on the stall exercise. I don't think these are very safe habits or she just doesn't trust him? Really like this airplane it shows excellent performances but has no parachute which is clearly a downside vs a Cirrus. It is also quite expensive compared to the 62

    • @IGGYsWorld
      @IGGYsWorld  Год назад +3

      She actually uses "My controls... your controls..." I kind of like it. Regarding the parachute (I am a big supporter of it) you should check the fatality rate of Diamond vs Cirrus. You will be surprised.

    • @CyrilDeretz
