One of the best videos I've seen from an aircraft manufacturer channel. Usually these kind of videos are all the same. They certainly never make me smile and giggle. This video was a great example of how it should be done. Both informative and fun! More of these, please!
As a professional pilot, it's nice to see 2 pilots getting on so well and enjoying the flights together. I've done a number a ferry flights and I've always enjoyed them
I’m wondering if they take maximum fuel weight at each stop they make and ensure that all of the fuel tanks are kept 100% full at all times, if this is feasible for takeoff distance and other onboard weights?
@@manikyum They are just people and sometimes people don't get along. That is also ok provided they work professionally together but working with a buddy is so much better.
Impressive I have always admired the Honda jet but you guys take this to a new level and show the professionalism and responsibility associated with your profession.
This channel just popped up and I got totally pulled in. Beautiful plane and 2 very professional pilots that were personable and obviously did a fantastic job representing your company and aircraft.
These long distance transatlantic ferry flights almost seem in some respects that they are also serving as test flights for all of the aircraft systems
Great work! I'm ex GE so glad to see the GE-Honda engines getting a workout! Great video. Well put together, thanks Honda for taking the time to assemble this video!
Hats off to these guys. I had a ferry pilot fly my Cessna 310D over to the UK from Arkansas, using the same routing. The difference was ..he did IT SOLO, and without an operational autopilot !. It was fully checked over in Goose Bay, to ensure it was upto the trip. No work was needed and he set off I was told he set an atlitude alarm he provided himself ..so he could have a snooze while airborne en-route 😮😮... although he did say once trimmed the aircraft it flew dead straight and level. I collected it from him at Preswick in Scotland, and flew him down to Biggin Hill near to London where he lived, listening to his fascinating stories of mine and other aircraft he has flown over.
Interesting video. In the late 1960's I was a U.S. Coast Guard radarman stationed aboard a few different C.G. ships that were primarily used to man Atlantic Ocean Stations. There were 4 manned ocean stations during my time. Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Echo. With Bravo being the most Northern station between Canada and Iceland. On occasion we would be notified to watch for a smaller aircraft, like a small Cessna, being ferried across to Europe. Most often those small planes would cross directly over us and be coming out of Gander and heading directly for the Azores. We would hold a short conversation with them and usually forward their flight info to Air Traffic Control via teletype or sometimes even via 500 kw C.W. We were generally on station for 3 weeks at a time with a travel time of 2 to 3 days each way. My home ports were Boston and New Bedford, Ma. This may or may not be of interest to anyone :)
I find this very interesting. So you're saying that the coast guard ship WAS the station? And it was In the middle of the Atlantic just loitering in a specific area? Or if not, what was the station?
Please do more videos! This is one of the best produced cross-country videos I have ever watched. Those pilots are perfect ambassadors for HondaJet. It's easy to tell they love their jobs
Beautiful and very capable aircraft. Absolutely loved the banter back-and-forth and the professionalism in the cockpit. Great ambassadors for Honda and America!
I live in goose bay and I always enjoy seeing all the jets and small aircraft, and military that fly here to make there way across the Atlantic. The drone footage of goose bay was great
This was highly entertaining. Never thought I would watch 40 minutes of a flight, but darn if I wasn't enlightened the whole time. Well done to the editing crew who put this together and to Jonathan and Steve for providing the play by play.
Never thought a video of taking a plane from one place to another could be so interesting. Great pilots, great plane, great content. Thanks for the video. A 10 out of 10.
To both pilots, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. What a trip! What a wonderful job to have. It is great to watch two professional pilots going about their day-job with so much aplomb. It must have been a wonderful aircraft to fly, especially such a distance. Thank you to all those who were involved in the production of this video and also for posting. Best regards from the Giant’s Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland. 😄👍☘️

This reminds me of my previous job, ferrying F-5 E/F jets from Palmdale, CA to Europe and beyond, mostly beyond. Our last stop leaving North America was Goose Bay, then Sondrestrom, Greenland, Keflavik, Iceland then either Ireland or Scotland, made that trip at least 15 times.
Wow that's cool. You had two engines at least. I wonder how the F-16 guys do it. If you lose an engine or have a problem you better hope you're near a ship or what? Thanks
That was absolutely amazing! Really high quality stuff. Great footage, great plane, the two pilots such cool pros and fantastic and educational journey. Greetings (and thanks) from London 😀
Really enjoyed these flights, love the engineering of biz jets, especially one so unique, fantastic crew, well done lads, Honda deserves to sell more of these
I have a love for this jet. No pilot just enthusiast. Would one day love to get even a short journey in one. Love how the equipment works in the aircraft, the systems are really good in these aircraft! Nice chaps and a good video, no skipping ;)
As you made this flight in a sophisticated corporate jet, my thoughts were with those ferry pilots during WW2, flying the same route, in propeller driven military aircraft. Big changes in aviation.
Well… Never seen content like this before… however… I was in the aviation business for over 25 years and the most important stuff, right at the beginning, weight and balance… is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of the whole journey planning. Whoever is running the content for Honda needs a raise. This is awesome! The pilots are fun characters too!
Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Please, Mr. Honda, keep us informed if that personnel got their raise! :D
Agreed!
They all already got an Airplane to each and everyone, no need a raise no more.😂

Fun fact, at 27:18 the chunk of rock is called Ailsa Craig, where the granite for around 70% of the world's curling stones is quarried.
In the 80s I used to pass by it on a US Ballistic Missile Submarine. That's when we felt we would soon be home!
Ha, just saw a video about that, the mining and manufacturing of the stones
